the handbook of equity market anomalies translating market inefficiencies into effective investment strategiesThe recreation building is conceived as a pavilion in a park and an icon for the community. Towards that goal, the use of natural materials that are sustainable, that have a sense of quality and longevity, that are complementary to each other and to the park context, and that are attractive, was of fundamental importance both to the designers and the client. Western Red Cedar wood grilles form a rain screen of longevity and beauty for the walls, while evoking the sense of lightness, transparency and horizontality. PAGE 37 Freedom HF Owners Guide.book Page 3 Friday, December 21, 2007 2:18 PM Operating in Shore Power Mode Operating in Shore Power Mode The Freedom HF operates in shore power mode when an AC source (a generator or utility power) is present at the AC input terminals. When the AC source is within operating range, the Freedom HF unit bypasses inverter function and powers the appliances connected to the unit. The Yellow status LED lights up to indicate the Freedom HF is using the battery to power the appliances. The table below illustrates the battery status during inverter mode as shown on the display panel. The Freedom HF automatically detects when shore power is present and when it becomes unavailable or drops to less than 90 Vac. PAGE 42 Freedom HF Owners Guide.book Page 8 Friday, December 21, 2007 2:18 PM Operating Limits Power Output The Freedom HF can deliver up to 1000 watts (Freedom HF 1000) or 1800 watts (Freedom HF 1800) continuous power. The wattage rating applies to resistive loads such as incandescent lights. PAGE 43 Freedom HF Owners Guide.book Page 9 Friday, December 21, 2007 2:18 PM Inverter Loads Inverter Loads The Freedom HF will operate most AC loads within its power rating of 1000 watts (Freedom HF 1000) or 1800 watts (Freedom HF 1800). However, some appliances and equipment may be difficult to operate, and other appliances may actually be damaged if you try to operate them with the Freedom HF. Please read “High Surge Loads” and “Trouble Loads” carefully. PAGE 44 Freedom HF Owners Guide.book Page 10 Friday, December 21, 2007 2:18 PM Trouble Loads CAUTION Some equipment may be damaged by the Freedom HF’s modified sine wave output, which has a different wave form than utility-supplied electricity. PAGE 45 Freedom HF Owners Guide.book Page 11 Friday, December 21, 2007 2:18 PM Battery Charging Battery Charging Battery charging is possible only when shore power is present and the Freedom HF unit is connected to a battery (or battery bank). The frequency of battery charging is determined by how much energy in the battery is used up during inverting. Whenever the Freedom HF detects a battery voltage that falls below 12.8 Vdc, the unit will begin charging the battery, i.e. PAGE 46 Freedom HF Owners Guide.https://ceadersvalet.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1627422f273808---bronica-sq-manual.pdfbook Page 12 Friday, December 21, 2007 2:18 PM Table 4-2 below illustrates the battery charging status as shown on the Status LED and display screen. It does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Attempting to service the unit yourself could result in an electrical shock or burn. This occurs because the power supply in the audio system does not adequately filter the modified sine wave produced by the inverter. The only solution is to use a sound system that has a higher quality power supply. After testing it here is what I found: It easily puts out the 1800 watts, actually surpasses it for a reasonable length of time, (if you have the battery bank to power it) without any overheating or other issues. Its charger section quickly recharges the battery when shore power is available however but herein lies the rub, it is very sensitive to its shore power and this really defeats the purpose. If your shore power is not at least 115 volts it will not operate at all.Anything below 112 and the charger and transfer switch would not operate, any higher 125 and it would enter a protection mode and not operate. This being the case, it is virtually worthless for a ship, or an RV where you travel and have variable shore power. If you are using it as a UPS for a house it would be OK, but if that's the case you would probably opt for a pure sine wave inverter instead.Charger works fine when connected to shore power 120 v, but will not work if connected to my 110 v diesel generator. Turns off everytime the air conditioner turns on because of the instant drop of tension, even under shore power. Noisy fan after a few months of use. This is my second Freedom HF 1800. The first presented a permanent malfunction alarm and could not be fixed in Brazil, where I live. It worked for about 6 months. Bought a second one that worked for about three years, with the restrictions listed in the first paragraph. Although the charger is working fine, the inverter started to deliver only 95 to 100 v. It was noticed after the low tension broke my LCD TV.He’s an over the road trucker and without open restaurants due to COVID-19, he needed to be able to cook his own meals. The inverter powers a microwave, coffee pot and a tv so he is comfortable on the road. The husband installed and it works exactly as it should. Being able to regulate the charge going into the house batteries is great (old one didn't have that option). The only downside is that the remote panel that's in our motorhome now doesn't work with this unit, so there's more work to be done to install it so you can see what's going on from inside. It was cumbersome to disconnect the inverter connect the charger then put everything back together after charging. This device has a built in transfer switch so it does both. When your on batteries it acts just as any inverter does and gives you 120vac but this device also allows you to plug it in. When plugged in it passes the 120vac through for you to use just like the inverter but also charges your battery at the same time. This device also provides some nice features such as being able to charge all sorts of different battery types and even has technology that allows it to even charge batteries that other chargers are not capable of recharging due to the battery being to far depleted. Another feature that I liked is the remote mount of the display so you can easily place it so you can view the status of your battery. It's a nice all in one good quality solution. When I followed the manual information I didn't find the described port to connect the provided remote cable. There is NO way to use the system with a remote control. The only way to contact Xantrex tech support is via the general Xantrex phone number. There is no direct contact for their tech support.Installation and operation instructions are clear, and the connections are straight forward. The 110VAC convenience outlets are.convenient. to the point where I've deferred wiring in std outlets elsewhere on the boat. A few notes: - You will need a 3.5mm slotted screw driver to open the 110VAC wiring clamps. There's no way around that- I tried every possible tool I had before I gave up and went home to grab my slotted screwdriver kit. - The display and convenience outlets are removable but the documentation neglects to mention that additional screws must be removed on the side. Not difficult but not user friendly either. - Recommend wiring an AC Main upstream and a AC distribution downstream -Mounts easily on the side and in a cabinet provided it's adequately ventilated.I’m currently using it with my sump pump and battery backup. The battery is a group 27 deep cycle marine battery. I have made a battery cable using booster cables which connect to the 1800W unit and the other to the battery. I then used a computer power cord with the female plug cut off and the wires stripped to fit into the units AC input (see photos). I’m also using a proteus wifi sensor to alert me when the water level in the sump pit gets too high. Current rating is 3.48 Amp. I am very happy with this power investor auto charger unit. I almost forgot, it comes with wall mounting brackets too!I’m currently using it with my sump pump and battery backup. I almost forgot, it comes with wall mounting brackets too!The first one is 9 years old in use at my off grid cabin. I bought this one for an off grid rv. It works as well as my current one. Seems to be a very durable product, we run a generator to charge 8 6volt batteries. We operate: coffee makers, skill saws, vacume cleaners, a tv and dvd player regularly with no issues. If we overload it, the alarm sounds and we simply turn it off to reset and good to go.I must say I wish that it came with a cord that could be put on it if the user wishes because most likely it will have to be plugged in instead of direct wired. We had to take the plug off the old one.
