teacher created materials time for kids informational text zoom how cars move grade 3 guided reading levelIt tries, and I see it zoom past a good focus into blurriness and then flash red - that AF can't get a focus. I snap anyway and yes, it is a blurry picture! jan Basically, you expect it to focus but it doesnt.and its not a matter of being too close. Maybe the mechanism was just stuck in non-focus. I've only had that happen once. Either change from macro to normal, or turn the camera off and on. Then try again. Basically, you expect it to focus but it doesnt.and its not a matter of being too close. Then try again. This happens with other brands as well, particularly at long zoom settings and with extreme closeups, where the depth of field is very narrow. What seems to happen is that the focusing mechanics are travelling faster than the speed at which the electronics can detect focus. I have had this happen with closeups as far back as the Olympus C-1400L. On my Olympus SZ-30MR this happens particularly indoors. I mention this because its sensor seems to be the same as that in your P510. Henry -- hide signature -- Henry Falkner - SZ-30MR, SP-570UZ, Stylus 9010 Annoying though if I can't reliably fix it. I still have the opportunity to return the camera and was considering FZ200 -- and forsaking the long zooms for better focus -- but if they ALL have similar problems, I will stay put. I like this camera and that has been the only hiccup so far. jan The FZ200 also looks very promising. But how long have you had the P510. Over the years I have gotten the impression that cameras become less noisy over the first six months of use. This tends to improve focussing in critical conditions, since there is less 'hash' to confuse the electronics. From all accounts, the P510 looks like a keeper, like the models on other brands using that 16MP BSI CMOS sensor. The construction of the sensor implies that more light is captured and less electronic noise is generated when compared to CCDs of the same size and pixel count.http://govindlab.com/userfiles/bosch-logixx-8-sensitive-dryer-user-manual.xml

Henry -- hide signature -- Henry Falkner - SZ-30MR, SP-570UZ, Stylus 9010 Like Mario said, try the changing the Focus control from Macro to Infinity (depending on the distance).I recommend not to depend too much on AF. I remember when I started using the P510, my friend trying to focus on a cigarette pack right in front of us.and it just wouldnt focus !! It was embarrasing cos I was hyping about the 42X zoom and the long range pics I took.and this thing wouldnt focus on the stuff right in front of our noses. Then i left my smirking friends.and the next day.with a cool head.i started looking at the options one by one.I tell u that really HELPS.cos then i found that we had put it in macro AF mode.cos it was a close up shot.and then we had zoomed all the way OUT to 42x.How could u expect it to focus !! Anyways.if nothing works.try the Manual Focus !! thats a sure shot !! You also need to remember that the nearest distance you can focus depends on the focal length. At full zoom that distance is about 5 feet (1.5 m). Macro mode may bring that distance a little closer at full zoom, but the main effect occurs at wide angles. Turning Macro Mode off definitely will not help. Focusing gets difficult at long zooms with closeup subjects because the subject is often cluttered (as with a flower or insect surrounded by vegetation). It may be further complicated because it is hard to hold the camera steady under these circumstances. Finally it may be difficult for the autofocus to pick out a small subject from all the usual clutter. It may help to select Spot Focus Mode to make sure the camera knows where it is supposed to look. If all else fails, I sometimes find it useful to focus on some other clearer object at a similar distance and then hold the shutter halfway down while I aim at my original subject. This provides a good starting point for another attempt to focus on the desired subject.http://neapol-m.ru/usr/bosch-logixx-8-manual-pdf.xml This technique is also helpful when you are trying to focus on a small subject, like a branch, against a distant background that may dominate the attention of the focusing mechanism. I wish I could find one to look at though. jan In our latest buying guide we've selected some cameras that might be a bit older but still offer a lot of bang for the buck. Best cameras for travel in 2021 May 18, 2021 at 18:32 What's the best camera for travel. Good travel cameras should be small, versatile, and offer good image quality. In this buying guide we've rounded-up several great cameras for travel and recommended the best. Shedding some light on the sources of noise. After you zoom about two thirds of the range it is unable to auto focus. So while it has an incredible 42X zoom, it is not usable with video. And it's not like you know when it will loose focus so you just end up with a video scene that suddenly turns blurry as you zoom. I also have had it NOT focus properly. I can't say when it does or does not, but I have MANY very good videos taken with the P510 at full zoom.I always use a tripod to keep the camera as still as possible. Most pros use a tripod to keep their long lenses steady, and I think it's a good policy.I know I can't hold a 1000mm lens still.Jimmymac Many distant scenes have low contrast.http://www.drupalitalia.org/node/72584 Besides, even 20x zoom lenses need about 15 feet distance to the subject to focus at full zoom. A shop may not be big enough. A shop is also dimmer than the outside, which can challenge the contrast detect focus system in many brands and models. I have an Olympus SZ-30MR with the same sensor as the P510. When taking a video in a folk club with deliberately dimmed lights, my SZ-30MR regained and kept focus after I set ISO HIGH. For what it's worth. Henry -- hide signature -- Henry Falkner - SZ-30MR, SP-570UZ, Stylus 9010 Zoom has a big range, so, into an electric one, it is normal it takes some time to go from top wide, to top tele. About focusiing time. The main problem in mi opinion. With my SRL cameras, i use the autofocus, and make a final correction manually.Manual ring to zoom is another need.Glad if Nikon reach to understand it and make a camera like that.In our latest buying guide we've selected some cameras that might be a bit older but still offer a lot of bang for the buck. This is also the first forum I have joined so I don't really know what I'm doing. I just had a look at nightwings pic of saturn very impressive. I have similar pics that i took 5 days ago. I have only been taking pics for a few short months and started out using a simple pentax ws80. My fiancee was kind enough to support my new hobby and bought me the nikon P510 2 weeks ago. I originally picked the nikon P510 for close up shots but found myself pointing the camera up at the sky and taking some pics of the moon and stars. When I took a look at the photos I was blown away by what I saw. What I thought I had taken pics of just stars but soon found out what I had taken pics of was venus and jupiter. If anyone out there is considering buying a camera please do yourself a huge favour and take a look at the nikon P510 you will not be disappointed.https://www.cbiinc.org/images/bose-321-gs-service-manual.pdf I took these photos on the auto setting as i said before i don't even know the settings on my new camera yet and if it can produce pics like this with an amatuer like me I can't wait to really get to know the camera and what its capable of. The zoom on the nikon is breathtaking. You have some elegant Moon shots there and some nice attempts at Venus. Venus can be quite difficult and needs steadier atmosphere. If the brighter stars are twinkling, the sky is turbulent and you'll have your work cut out for you But a steadier sky will show a clean disc. Looking forward to more of your shots! Mario I had some not so positive ones eleswhere but i shall take your positives words on board. Will have fun learning the camera properly but. Ok, when i saw your 4 bird pictures, i noticed that the birds where slightly outfocused and expected MarioV to comment on that and explain what probably happened.Your P510 cam didnt focus spot on at your max (or close to max) zoom. Enlarge your 2nd picture and look all over your picture and you will see other spots that are better in focus.Check the longzoom picture on your LCD after taking it with increased LCD sensitivity,With Manualzoom you will get a zoom-assistend (or whatever Nikon names it) that will enlarge your scene 4 times or more, to help you getting the 99 right focus. Some ppl here will state its NOT true what im telling, explaning about your focus, so you have to experiance it yourself. But to me, 4 out of 4 misfocus (i think you showed your best set) is not ehhh.Wish you lots of fun with your cam and birds, and hope that you learned from my explaning, and show a rock-solid sharp picture from these birds soon.I did see it whilst at work, but I didnt have a chance to respond and then I forgot to.No need to waffle or embelish. Just get to the point. Your P510 cam didnt focus spot on at your max (or close to max) zoom. Spot focus is a good idea, especially when there are branches that auto focus could latch onto instead.http://www.bestlifepolicy.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/16270d55adcc12---bounty-hunter-pioneer-101-manual.pdf Nonsense than use Manual zoom, because something is disturbing your AF. With Manualzoom you will get a zoom-assistend (or whatever Nikon names it) that will enlarge your scene 4 times or more, to help you getting the 99 right focus. Sure, if there's time. I think the main problem here is that the bird was quite far away. Therefore, given the conditions, the shots are fairly good.I did see it whilst at work, but I didnt have a chance to respond and then I forgot to.No need to waffle or embelish. Nonsense Best bridge cameras 2012 - verdict With such a range of prices, it was expected that the performance and results of these cameras would vary drastically. However, even with the differing focal lengths, the images are in some ways quite consistent. All are a compromise on the quality available from a DSLR, but all offer advantages over regular compact cameras. The Sony Cyber-shot HX200V is a very clever camera with lots of functions to help produce terrific results. The pictures look great and it is easy to use, but this model lacks the raw functionality and hotshoe creative users may desire. The Nikon Coolpix P510 produces some excellent images with natural colouring and superb sharpness, although the handling and poor focusing make it less enjoyable to use than some of the others. The GE X500 is an interesting budget option and its small size is likely to appeal to some users. It produces well-detailed images at low ISO settings, but fails to compete in low light, performance and handling terms. Fujifilm's FinePix HS30EXR is a great example of a bridge camera and the manual zoom ring will make it a popular choice with many photographers. It is easy to use and produces nice-looking images, but needs a little more processing power to make raw shooting feel effortless. The Fujifilm X-S1 may not show an increase in detail from its larger sensor, but the images appear more natural and benefit from greater tonality and nicer defocused areas.www.denizlihurda.com/image/files/bowflex-x2-assembly-manual.pdf The Canon PowerShot SX40 HS is a simple but effective camera, delivering impressive features and performance to produce great-looking images. The addition of raw capture and a greater ISO range would make this a complete success. Leica's V-Lux3 is a fantastic camera, but from the specification, performance and image results it appears identical to the much lower-priced Panasonic model. So the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 offers the best solution for most photographers. It is well priced and delivers great results, holding fine detail even at higher ISO sensitivities and providing raw shooting. The zoom and stabilisation are impressive, and it is easy to operate for both the new user and experienced photographer. I did see it whilst at work, but I didnt have a chance to respond and then I forgot to.No need to waffle or embelish. Nonsense Best bridge cameras 2012 - verdict The Sony Cyber-shot HX200V is a very clever camera with lots of functions to help produce terrific results. I think the HX200V is the best camera if you like videography as much as photography. I would not disagree if someone said the P510 has some slight It cant hold a candle to the HX200V video. Revelation alertNot Digital Video Review. That opinion was probably from someone who doesn't know the difference between a soft lens and atmospheric haze in a picture of something at a great distance. I am not going to carry on like a fanboy. But I rather have good photo capability at the expense of video. This is why the HX200V or FZ150 are great choices - IF you dont need so much extra zoom. Nope. P510 lens is not superior than any bridge cam out there. It's just that P510 has longer reach does presenting the subject closer and appears to be sharper because of more detail. Longer reach and more detail is the whole point. Regarding the blown highlights, that was my error. I had a small amount of free time so I took some quick shots before an appointment. I should have lowered the EV. I still like the image. I still prefer it to your boring shot. Your obsession with 100 on a small sensor camera is borderline OCD.But I rather have good photo capability at the expense of video. This is why the HX200V or FZ150 are great choices - IF you dont need so much extra zoom.I think so both must be set at 600mm to make a reasonable comparison. Any way, the picture at full zoom of the P-510 look strange. I was watching image comparisions between both and it is true. Diference is not too much to loss the 1000mm zoom, specially for wild life entusiast, bird life watchers. etc. Every camera has its customers according the use and capabilities. But I rather have good photo capability at the expense of video. This is why the HX200V or FZ150 are great choices - IF you dont need so much extra zoom.Well, i think that is a pitty, because P510 CAN take good video, you only have to cut some bad scenes sometimes, like a kind of PP. I think so both must be set at 600mm to make a reasonable comparison.I was watching image comparisions between both and it is true. Diference is not too much to loss the 1000mm zoom, specially for wild life entusiast, bird life watchers. etc. I agree, diference is not spectaculair, but it is definitethere. In our latest buying guide we've selected some cameras that might be a bit older but still offer a lot of bang for the buck.http://www.holzbau-hoelzl.at/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/16270d575194f2---bounty-hunter-pioneer-ex-metal-detector-manual.pdf With this Table of Content, you can directly go to the certain part of this article simply by clicking the sub topic below. Edsall 5.0 out of 5 stars To me it is not a great quick reference guide, but that guide came with the camera. There is a certain amount of redundancy because Alexander White organizes the guide from several aspects: the physical location of the features on the camera, the features that are on each dial, its various capabilities, etc. I find this helpful as I could not possibly remember all the capabilities of the Nikon P510 if they were all present just once in the guide.Book is just what I want for my Nikon P510 camera. Book is in great condition and seller sells at a fair price.Printing it was out of the question because of the number of pages. So finding this book was a godsend. It is clear and easy to understand. My issues with any camera manual remain the same however, they all scatter information about the same process in different places in the manual. I will say that Mr. White does a better job with this than others I have seen. Thank you Mr. White.
