On this model I think people mostly complained about the ice drawer and ice dispenser. Both work fine for me, just make sure you put your glass right up to it and ice won't fly everywhere. As for the ice drawer, I have no issues removing it and I haven't had any freeze ups for the months I've had it. It looks great and stays nice and cold, what more do you want from a fridge. Called Samsung for factory authorised service. They arranged for one of their Authorized repair serviceman to perform repair. I watched as he called Samsung to talk to a tech. I'm an electrician and it became apparent to me he did not know what he was doing. He listened to the tech and using his meter checked several connections on the printed circuit board. Several times he was checking the wrong terminals and had to ask the tech to repeat where to check. He said he needed to order parts and would be back in a few weeks. When he returned he installed the parts and said every thing was working. When I tried the dispenser it no longer tried to dispense any ice cubed or crushed. I called Samsung to complain. I was given a phone number to call. The person there listened to the trouble I was having and said the parts replaced would not have fixed my problem. He said he would send out parts and arrange for a different repair company to install. When the new repair person arrived he listened to my problem and said the parts sent would not fix the trouble. He checked out a few things. When he put the parts back together The water dispenser no longer worked. He said he would need to call Samsung for parts and left. After two weeks I called to find out the status. I was told that Samsung would not authorize any farther repair but nobody bother to call me I called Samsung again and was told they were sorry about the misunderstanding and Issued a new work order number. A few days later i received an E-mail stating the work order number was cancelled. Another call another order number and again another cancel e-mail. Again called got a new number and again a few days later a cancel e-mail. Called again this time I was asked to hold.When he came back on line he said Samsung was no longer going to attempt any repair. This story has been abbreviated for space allowed. This exchange went on for almost three months and involved many many phone calls and e-mails. It involved 9 different service order numbers most of witch were cancelled within days of being issued. The fridge came with badly sealing ice dispenser flapper (the thing that closes the ice chute after the ice is dispensed) and so even if I don't use the ice dispenser at all snow forms inside the door ice chute. Now naturally that snow or ice breaks off every time the freezer door is open so even if you don't mind much not being able to use the Ice dispenser since the chute is always plugged you will sure as hell mind cleaning the mess on the floor every time the freezer door is open essentially rendering the whole freezer section useless. I have called the Samsung repair department on June 11 2014 and instead of having the repairman call me they gave me a number to call for Big Island Climate Control. Well after numerous attempts I have reached the guy and he promised to get the part in about two to three weeks and call me back. I gave him almost two months but nothing happened. So after numerous additional attempts to reach him unable to even leave a message as his mailbox is always full I finally talked to him in mid August. Same promises made but nothing got done. Once being called at 7 am he apparently picked up the phone by mistake and immediately said he is not open until 8 am and that he will call me back. Of course that never happened. But it is close to running out of warranty so that is probably their plan. Now that comes on the heels of having a really bad experience with a Samsung all in one laser printer CLX-3160FN couple years back that also arrived with defective scanner cover straight from the factory and started smudging prints as soon as warranty ran out. Which meant it was just plain tap water. -The ice maker stopped making ice. It took tons of googling and troubleshooting to finally reset the ice maker and get it making ice again. -And about that ice maker. Worst ice dispenser EVER. It shoots ice all over the place. Every. Single. Time. We get ice some shoots onto the floor. Every time. Don't even bother using the crushed ice selection or your kitchen floor will be cover with a giant snow cone. The ice dispenser also periodically drops a couple pieces of ice on the floor when no one is even near the refrigerator. -The fan in the freezer freezes up, and makes a terrible crunching sound and eventually isn't able to run at all about once a year. I've had to completely take apart the interior or the freezer, including the back panel, to remove the ice build up from the fan. I imagine if I didn't do this soon enough the motor would have burnt out completely. Currently my fan has ice build up and I'm trying to melt it away with a blow drying so I don't have to disassemble the entire freezer again. Which inspired me to get on here and write the review. The whole system is a mess. You cannot go in the freezer and get some ice out of the bin as we could in previous fridges. This means to put ice in a small mouth container we usually have to use a cup and transfer the cubes. A bigger issue is the ice dispenser itself. Every time we use it chips of ice, some quite large, spew out from around the top of the glass and shower on the floor. There are always little puddles of water on our floor, and eventually it will damage the polyurethane coating. We are also now experiencing a more concerning issue. The ice outlet gets jammed and the motorized drive which moves the ice out gets stuck on. When this happens, the only way we have found to resolve the issue is the remove the ice bin, empty and rinse out all the little chunks of ice stuck in the outlet, and then put the empty bucket back in. This has happened several times, once when one of our kids was home by herself and the motor was stuck on for 10-15 minutes while she tried to reach us on the phone to ask what to do. I also am concerned about the longevity of this fridge due to the flimsy nature of the plastic which lines the insider of the refrigerator side. When moving one of the shelves it went in at too much of an angle to slide in and the molded plastic shelf channel just buckled inward. Very little force was applied, this is not reasonable. We have also had the defroster in the freezer freeze over requiring a full defrost, but I think this is because we had some plastic bags covering some of the inlets. In all, I would not recommend this refrigerator, there are other options at the same price point which might not have the same icemaker issues. Update: More problems with this Fridge, I am pushing it down to one star and cannot recommend at all. We have not had a repeat of the stuck ice dispenser, we just dump all the ice every month or so. However, now we are regularly getting ice build up in the sealed area where the defrost fan is, which contacts the fan blade and makes a horrible noise. I thought it was a problem with covering the outlets, but we have been careful about that. I now have to use a hairdryer to melt the ice out every 6-8 weeks, but in the process melted some of the cheap plastic lining the inside of the freezer compartment. I recently lowered the freezer temperature and it seems to have slowed down the ice formation - but the freezer is now not cold enough for long term storage, we have to use a spare freezer for that. The ice spewing out I described in my original review continues to be a major annoyance, and we have some water marks on our cork floor from bigger chunks we did not locate when they shot out of the dispenser. All in all, this appears to be a pretty cheaply made product, we are already saving for a replacement.
