This is actually my second Super-Vee Bladerunner I've owned and I'm so glad I added it to a blue maple fingerboard stratocaster I own. Not only did it significantly impact the weight of the instrument (it's noticeably lighter - over two pounds lighter) but the instrument is louder acoustically with more overall sustain. The strings seem to fan out over the fingerboard radius in a nicer overall arrangement (the intonation was spot-on right out of the box). The tuning stability is the best I've ever experienced with a non-locking tremelo equipped instrument. The fit and finish of the trem is highly polished - almost like fine jewelry. If you are the type of person who fears working on your guitar it is seriously as easy as changing strings to install. The newly improved packaging from the SuperVee folks over the first version I bought (which came in a cardboard tube) has added a simple, professionally designed plastic clamshell shipping container and instructions. Pretty 'stratty' still and fairly 'vintage' feeling as well. Tuning stability with my particular setup is 99.5 perfecto. With three springs, the resistance is stiffer than id like at the bar. However, the seamless transition when engaging a pitch bend is enjoyable and addictive. I didnt get a claw or screws in my package. Since I was building a new guitar and not retrofitting an existing instrument, I was lacking the parts and contacted super vee for a replacement. The amazon listing, the manufacturers website, and the product packaging all list claw and two screws as included. Its a small company and I understand their various plights fully. The only problem I had was one of the saddles was stripped where the action set allen bolts are. The rest of them were very hard to turn like the saddles had been threaded with a defective tap. I had to oil them just to get them to move enough to set the action height. Very disappointing on a piece of guitar gear this expensive. Not sure where they get there saddles, but I would suggest they need to remedy this issue. Other than that I am very happy. If you want to keep your strat in tune without routing your guitar (or even drilling a hole), this is the bridge for you. As many people here have already suggested, you might want to make sure you have an upgraded graphite or bone nut and locking tuners to get the same flawless performance, but that would be the case with any replacement bridge.Please try again later. They said that I could take off the standard block and they would send to me the Shorty block for an up charge which was about half the price for the block. I decided to order the Shorty and keep the long block in case I ever had the opportunity of own an original Fender.Please try again later. Aside from that, I set it up pretty straight but it has a very little gap from the body, so it floats a little bit and it sounds like a natural vibrato when I push it down. Although, when floating, this alone is not that good for double stops. It is a pretty stable trem system, what more if I have a better nut and tuners. Increased sustain, greatly improved tuning stability, smooth action. I installed this with a set of Graphtech String Saver Classic saddles, a Fender LSR Roller Nut and Graphtech TUSQ string trees to create an amazing suspension on my Stratocaster. This led to fret buzz issues. The saddles and screws on the Bladerunner provide for better saddle height adjustment and stability. This bad boy was set up right out of the box for almost perfect intonation and I no longer have to worry about my guitar going out of tune. Great dive bombs and subtle tremolo effects. These types of products could get wrapped around the cable and cause serious injury. Using lighter gauge extension cords can result in severe power loss and motor overheating. Pull the cable out or push it back into the container by hand only, when the motor is stopped. When the motor is turning, always have one hand controlling the trigger switch and the other hand around the grip shield. Operator's hand could be caught in the moving parts resulting in serious injury. Avoid any direct contact with corrosive drain cleaners. Drain cleaning chemicals can cause serious burns, as well as damage the cable. Neutralize or remove corrosive drain cleaners in the drain before starting the job. Oiling moving parts is particularly important where the machine comes in contact with sand, grit and other abrasive materials. Many times, heavily advertised liquid drain cleaners are used to try to remove a stoppage before a cable cleaner is used. Once the cable has been subjected to these liquid cleaners, it is imperative to clean the cable. We believe the best way to clean the cable is to remove the cable from the canister or cartridge and stretch it out in a place you can hose it completely off with water. Once it has been cleaned with water the manufacturer strongly suggests the use of snake oil. In addition to this method of cleaning, the manufacturer also suggests periodically pouring a small amount of oil in the drum. Then, as the drum turns, the cables get complete lubrication. Snake oil has a special rust inhibitor that cuts through moisture and replaces it with a rust-resistant coating. In addition, snake oil gives your equipment a fresh, clean smell.
