Also appreciate the liberal but not excessive use of examples to illustrate the disorders and certain aspects of them.I am trained as a family medicine MD, and I think it includes a lot of very good information for primary care in particular, with understandable explanations of disease and treatment.It has all of the DSM-IV criteria in easy-to-read charts and then explains in the text each criteria while giving examples. This is not light reading, however, and if you're wanting psychology this is not the book for you. I'm a medical student and it was recommended reading by the faculty, so glad they chose this!I'm not 100 sure I would have bought, however, if I had to pay for it myself.However it has not affected the readability.
