We can NOT be held liable for any damage or injury caused by installing or using this product.Setting 2 disables blinking of the hazards during remote operation. When set to setting 2 (EXTENDED), it is possible to turn the ignition off and pull the key out, while the top operation continues. This is due to the way the roof button is directly wired to the roof controller on this model only. This works on cars with and without the IR receiver and allows for a much greater range than the close range IR solution. ? Tap UNLOCK on the remote 2x (in 1 sec intervals) to open the windows only. While the roof in in motion, the hazard lights flash as a warning signal (unless disabled by function 1).http://www.gdigbylaw.com/fleet-defender-gold-manual.xml Tapping either LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote will interrupt the operation immediately. IMPORTANT: When sequential unlocking (first driver's door then all other doors) is enabled, one click needs to be added (3x to lower windows, 4x to open top etc.), because 2x just opens all doors. When set to setting 2 (EXTENDED), it is possible to turn the ignition on and start the engine, while the top operation continues. Please use with extra caution to avoid injury by moving top parts! Tapping either LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote will interrupt the operation immediately. This functionality is now (as of firmware 3.30) integrated with function 3. To enable the horn chirps on SLK and CLK, a fuse needs to be reseated in the engine compartment fuse box. Please see the installation manual for details. To turn the light off manually, just tap the button again. Setting 1 activates the fog lights and setting 2 activates the regular dipped beams as the light source. PLEASE NOTE: On the SL this function always uses all turn signal lights. Some countries require the front lights to be permanently on. PLEASE NOTE: On the SL this function DOES NOT work and the setting is ignored. WARNING: This function ONLY ACTIVATES THE FRONT LIGHTS !!! You have to make sure that you still turn the light switch if you drive at night, since this function will NOT activate any rear lights or dash board illumination! Functions are indicated by the left arrow (4) and their settings by the right arrow (5). Additionally, the main cluster display shows all functions and options in clear text (where available). Navigation is done by pushing the up and down buttons on the left (2) or the phone pickup and hang-up buttons on the right (2) and settings changed by pushing the plus and minus buttons (3).https://78as.it/dimplex-sp920-manual Each time either a new function is selected or a function's setting is changed, the blinker arrows will indicate the new status by first blinking the function (left arrow) and then the setting (right arrow).Insert the key into the ignition lock and turn it to accessory position. Next, press and hold the phone hang-up button on the steering wheel until the left arrow blinks once to indicate function 1. Now let go of the button. From this point on you can navigate through the options by either tapping the UP (next function) and DOWN (previous function) buttons or the phone pickup (next function) and phone hang-up (previous function) buttons. Once the arrows are finished indicating the function and setting, change the setting by tapping PLUS or MINUS. The new settings are active immediately.End of programming mode is indicated by both arrows lighting up simultaneously. Examples: ? Function 3 (Remote roof control) is set to allow ignition on (setting 2): Left arrow blinks 3 times to indicate function 3, then right arrow blinks twice to indicate that this function is set to setting 2.This indicates that the function is set to setting 0 (OFF).The DISABLED (module deactivated) mode will be indicated as 1x left arrow only. Some markets received a normally- aspirated 136 bhp SLK 200. The electro-mechanical folding roof was very clever and again, made the simple folding roofs of the Z3 and Boxster look primitive. The new models included a 320SLK featuring a normally-aspirated 3.2 litre V6 that produced 218 bhp, and a SLK200 Compressor that delivered 163 bhp. The facelift comprised of restyled bumpers and door mirrors, new side sill covers and new wheel designs as well as a couple of trim changes but few can instantly spot the differences. Of more importance was the standard six speed manual gearbox and the introduction of the ESP traction control system. Featuring uprated suspension and running gear as well as special bumpers, trim and wheels, the AMG 32 also featured a hand-built 3.2-litre twin-plug supercharged V6 producing 349 bhp. Allied to an AMG specific five speed auto box, this one could scorch to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and on to a limited 155 mph. All European market cars were built at the Bremen factory but the R170 was also built in South Africa. As for what caused the problems, it’s unlikely to be a cheapening of the paint process like many claim, but is thought to be a combination of the introduction of water-based paint and insufficient bonding on panel edges. Common rust areas are just about every steel panel: front and rear arches, the base of the front wings where rust spreads out from behind the sills, panel edges and even the roof. Silver cars were thought to be worse but really, they’re no worse and just show the rust more. Generally, 2003 and 2004 cars are much better. Hopefully an MoT will pick this up but you must check regardless. Even so, problems can occur, mainly due to micro switches and hood rod adjustment. Wiper linkages are known to seize or break but it’s not stupidly expensive to fix with a good used part. Even so, bear it in mind. The M112 V6 was built in many forms: 2.4, 2.6, 2.8 and 3.2 plus a special 3.7 used in the ML, S Class and SL cars. Just the 3.2 was used in the R170 SLK though and this all-alloy unit with chain-driven cams is near enough unbreakable. They’re one of those engines that will run indefinitely with regular oil changes and careful use. The engine itself can display light piston slap at higher mileages but in all honesty you’d be very unlucky to have an engine problem. So, with careful warming up and regular servicing with the correct synthetic oil, these units will rarely give any trouble.Look online and you’ll find an Eberspacher-made rear box for a 230 or 200 for around ?250 and they’re about the highest quality exhaust you can buy. Autos are more common of course, and are preferable to some buyers, while all V6 cars are auto anyway. This was the era of sealed-for-life autoboxes and whilst it’s not essential, it’s not a bad plan to drain the oil, drop the sump and replace the filter screen before topping up with the correct new oil. Very often problems can be due to the torque converter and it’s three or four hours on a ramp to pull the box out, fit a new converter and reassemble. ABS control units can fail, callipers can seize and brake pipes certainly can and do rust. But for all that they’re no worse than anything else and parts are cheap. For example a reconditioned Pagid front brake caliper is around ?100 and front vented discs are under ?50 the pair aftermarket. Just listen for clonks, rattles and an odd feel to the drive that would indicate a knackered bush or balljoint. About the only time you’ll find cloth is on a LHD import. When Germany swapped the Deutschmark for the Euro in the early 2000s, a lot of Brits bought LHD cars aided by the very favourable conversion rate. Cloth isn’t a deal breaker but really, leather is the way to go. Standard equipment on the R170 included air conditioning, which will almost be guaranteed to need a regas by now if it doesn’t work. Kwik Fit does a decent job for around ?40. Production stopped only 12-13 years ago and Mercedes specialists are breaking plenty of time expired examples. Companies like Euro Car Parts and GSF supply just about all mechanical parts, and Mercedes Benz themselves stock just about everything. Genuine parts are often quite reasonable as well, and a few UK MB dealers have online shops now. Given the number of rusty or damaged ones out there for ?500, a complete parts car is always a good idea if you have the space. There’s also not a great disparity in price between early and late cars: we found a few 2004 examples for under ?2500 and 3.2 cars don’t seem to make any more money either so again, we’d buy as late a car as possible to avoid rust issues.Information Privacy notice. To surprisingly little fanfare, Mercedes launched the amazingly competent AMG-tuned C36. Then came the evocative, somewhat controversial, E-class with its distinctive cat’s eye headlights. Smaller and sportier than the current SL-series, the SLK is the company’s latest salvo in trying to entice a younger clientele into Mercedes showrooms. And the SL series hasn’t always been the porky boulevardiers that currently carry that designation. So Mercedes does have a history of building sporty cars. They just haven’t flexed those muscles recently. Instead, it’s a thoroughly modern rendition of the classic two-seater format with exquisitely balanced lines throughout. And because it has a removable hardtop, the SLK is equally alluring with the roof up or down. But it’s unlikely to venture this far away from its tried and true sedans.) All in 25 seconds. Much has been made of the fact that the SLK’s powerplant is a four cylinder like the Z3’s, but Mercedes’ four pots are force-fed by a computer-controlled, Roots-type supercharger. Other than a slightly boomy exhaust note when the roof is down, there’s nothing to complain about Mercedes’ decision to stick with the smaller engine. The slushbox responds quickly to enthusiastic jabs at the throttle and holds each gear well when the gear selector is rowed up and down the gated shifter. From a stop, it always launches in second gear. It makes the otherwise responsive SLK feel sluggish off the line. Until you mash the throttle. Then the gearbox kicks down to first and the SLK scampers away. It would heighten the sensation of response with only a slight fuel economy penalty. As it is, the automatic SLK is like a light switch. It either creeps off the line or threatens to break the speed limit before it gets through the intersection. There’s nothing in between. Even with the roof down, there’s precious little cowl shake and with the top in place, few coupes can boast a more robust superstructure. And considering its roadgoing prowess, the SLK’s ride exacts little penalty. It’s a tad stiff at urban speeds but smoothes out considerably as the speedometer creeps upward. With the roof in place, its trunk capacity is a substantial 348 litres (12.3 cu. ft.); more than most roadsters, including Mercedes own SL series. However, with the roof stowed in the upper portion of the trunk, capacity is down to a paltry 145 litres (5.0 cu. ft.). But Mercedes is also targeting SLK as the primary vehicle for the 30 to 39 set and as an only vehicle, its roof-down trunk capacity will prove a problem. It’s one of the few cars in recent memory that goes as good as it looks.Mercedes Canada has only been allotted 350 SLKs. They won’t be hanging around showrooms long. Accessible to people fairly familiar with general finance. The book is informative but not very entertaining. Sometimes redundant and lacking in clear examples. Good book to whet the appetite though. Yours don't have to.This edition brings the listener right up to speed with the latest developments in financial instruments and provides a clear and incisive guide to this complex world that even those who work in it often find hard to understand. With chapters on the markets that deal with money, foreign exchange, equities, bonds, commodities, financial futures, options and other derivatives, it looks at why these markets exist, how they work and who trades in them and it gives a run-down of the factors that affect prices and rates. Listen to this book and you and your company won't be new additions to this list. A fabulous source of reference for anyone wishing to understand financial markets - there is no better guide. If you find this subject interesting, it will give you what you need. Not what I was expecting. Would not recommend.Worth reading if you want to gain an appreciation for what financial markets do.Most subjects are explained on simple, concise terms, and those that are not are expanded on properly.I have, for example, a basic ready definition of what a money market fund is, and how a mutual fund works. This refreshes these basic understandings across the full range of markets, and sharpens them nicely. Alongside definitions we get well-chosen bits of background and history where appropriate. It moves briskly and held my attention well. This title would greatly benefit from having a reference guide along side printing, for example, the contract definition of a oil future and its formula to calculate tick value. The books is an excellent reference material which is less valuable in audio as opposed to a text book that could be annotated and pages could be flipped more easily. Having that said. it is still an excellent reminder since is was well above 20 years since I left the business school. And as a work in the field of finance I can grasp the audio, probably less suited for beginners. How does this one compare? Did it make you laugh or cry?It does not cover any one subject in enough detail that it could be used as a reference for that particular subject however. For example, if you were interested in learning how to invest in bonds, I have would not recommend buying this book and counting on its section on bonds to provide enough information to do so. However, if you are looking to begin learning about financial markets, this book is perfect. It gives clear, easy to follow introductory explanations of virtually all securities and markets around the world. The author explains quite complex topics with quiet ease. I wasn't expecting much as this book was included in the premium membership for free, but was quite blown away by the ease of explaining concepts. Not sure how he wrote this book so well, while some of his other writings (at least those I touched upon as a result of interest gained from this book) including that on crypto recently was just not up to the standard.Great information for people who didn't know the financial markets. The narrator has a pleasant enough voice, however it seems like he’s reading from an encyclopedia. The ideas are hard to follow and are made more difficult to understand with the use of dry and technical language. Kind of hard to follow in audiobook form since there's no real story to grab onto. Good general overview. Where would you like to shop? In the absence of formal training, few people are prepared for the responsibilities of dealing with management reports, budgets, and capital proposals, and find themselves embarrassed by their lack of understanding. This book is a practical guide to understanding and managing financial responsibilities.
