In an emergency without this manual you have little hope of a quick solution.It tries to cover too many model years and it is vague at times. This is typical of all aftermarket repair manuals and Haynes in particular. They're fine if you're going light maintenance or brakes, but if you're doing something in depth, this book lacks. The factory GM manual isn't a whole lot better, however, and is terribly organized. IMO, there's just a void of good printed information for this vintage GM vehicle.This one seems to try to cover too big of a range of years and models. I was replacing a wheel hub for a 2002 Chevy Blazer 2wd, and this book only had the instructions for a 4wd, and then the ref to the 2wd didn't even make sense for the components that I had. Also, I couldn't even properly identify the torque settings for the slider pins on the front caliper based off the language of the book. Too confusing. Wouldn't recommend this book if you have a 2002 Blazer 2wd.I don't have much experience fixing cars, but I have some mechanical aptitude. This book is helpful about 80 of the time. Be prepared to supplement it with some internet research though. So they have infor on the 4.3 engine one but it’s not what the tear down pics and stuff are for.She was away at college several hundred miles away and her truck broke down. It was easier and cheaper to ship this to her overnight than to drive there. She already had a decent set of tools and is very capable of doing her own repairs-she pretty much grew up in the shop with me and did her first brake job at age 11. She used this book to pull the code and used daddys credit card at the parts store then made the repair and was back on the road in time to get home and give me a hug on my birthday.
