Kelly C. 5.0 out of 5 stars Listeners to the Podcast will know that Pat has the ability to quickly get to the point and he politely guides his guests into doing the same. Prior to the podcast, I had never heard of Pat primarily because I live on the west coast and I am relatively new to the world of real estate sales. Because of the high quality of his Podcast, I decided to take a chance and purchase Pat’s book. Well, I am happy to report that Pat’s book has exceeded all my expectations. His honest, no-bullshit approach is very refreshing. He shares both positive and negative information freely. There is very little “fluff” in this book. It is well structured in a very helpful and thoughtful manner, which enables the reader to return to each respective Chapter for a quick run-down of all the critical actions and salient high points.http://ghefootmassage.com/fckeditor_userfiles/ewqlso-pro-xp-manual.xml

Pat has provided an honest look at his business management practices as well as some of the best marketing ideas he has deployed over the years. This book also provides helpful advice on Team building and structure considerations, including the conception and deployment of incentivizing strategies for the entire office including support staff. Despite his rise from humble beginnings, Pat freely shares his marketing philosophies and tactics that have made him extremely successful. Successful Mentorship (both Mentee and Mentor) relationships are also addressed. He shares his experience in learning and copying indirect competitor marketing tactics, then successfully deploys them in his own geographic market area that have worked well in non-competing areas. My favorite example is the postcard featuring his two daughters, which is included in the book but there are also many other good ones. While I am not a financial novice, I appreciated the fact that the Pat included this type of information because he is able to deliver it with great brevity and clarity. This book is very unique and contains great quality content which is original. I came away with a great impression of Pat as a successful real estate entrepreneur. This book is also very well edited, and while I was reading it, I would find it difficult to take a break. In other words, it just flows well. In the body of the work, Pat mentions that the original manuscript was twice as long but was substantially reduced. Overall It is a truly excellent book. Bravo Pat! Disclaimer: I am a new student of real estate presently studying for my license in the state of California. I am not even a rookie yet and about as far away from being a seasoned professional as you can get. I have completed my coursework for my Salesperson License with an MLO addendum. I will be taking my state exam in about 6 weeks.http://sperrincaravans.com/images/ewr20v5-manual.xml However, in preparation for my new career in residential real estate, (I have aspirations to become a top listing agent) I have literally been reading every good quality book I can get my hands. I have also been listening and watching a variety of Podcasts and Youtube videos (Mike Ferry, Tom Ferry, Tim And Julie Harris, Borino, Inman Select, etc.) on the subject of real estate sales activity, primarily lead generation, in order to prepare for myself for the real world (which I understand had little to do with what appears on the state exams). In addition to the normal process of studying from my exams, I took the unusual step to read as many books as I could get my hands on during the last 12 months. Some of the greatest legends of the coaching, sales, and real estate sales industries, and I would rank Pat’s book on equal footing with the works from all of these fine authors. The book is simple to read and is broken down to seven chapters filled with actionable steps. I love the stories, illustrations of the book because it kept the book simple and not too complicated to read and comprehend. This book is comparable to The Millionaire real estate agent by Gary Keller. The only difference is that this book is MUCH shorter and easier to read. I will recommend this book to new real estate agents. This book in an easy to understand way, tells you how to blow up your business, make more money, have more time and have more fun while doing it. Remember the little plastic monkeys that you hang from each other, arm to arm. My friend was a public high school football coach. The church was full of young men he had mentored. One by one they stood up and gave eulogies of what Coach Ken had taught them. Coach Ken was immortal. Hundreds of mentees would spread his beliefs and values to their younger brothers, their own children and to all the employees they ever manage in their long lifetimes. I realized that although I could count over 65 mentors in my 25 years of Real Estate sales, I had very little mentees. I saw myself as a plastic monkey from the barrel who had many monkeys pulling him up but none below that he was lifting up himself. Writing a book for me was the fastest and most efficient way for me to build more plastic monkeys below me than existed above me. It was a way to build mentees. It was a way to share with the younger generation of today's real estate agents what 65 other real estate mentors shared with me and then mix it up with all of my real life stories of what went right and what went wrong in my long and prosperous career on the front lines of the residential real estate game. I've always been fascinated by agents who set goals and then think that miraculously they will come true. Of course most never do come true. My hope is this book is used as a road map to get you from the point of setting a goal all the way to the point of achieving that goal. I believe it is a clear description of the roads and the trails that take you from here to there and when followed equal ultimate success.I have made it a must-read for all of our coaches and clients. A must-read! --Ben Kinney, author of Social with Jay Papasan, Social Media Futurist and top real estate agentHe has sold more than one billion dollars worth of residential real estate, one house at a time. Over the course of his career, Pat has increased his sales from ten homes per year to five hundred homes per year--in other words, selling almost two houses every day. Pat has negotiated as many as fourteen contracts in a single day. But by working hard and using all the ideas he has compiled in 6 Steps to 7 Figures, he quickly doubled his annual salary in only his second year in business, then tripled that by year three, eventually earning over five million dollars in a single year. He also grew his business. Although he started out as an independent, he hired more and more people to build a fifty-four-person team. Pat's current team structure allows him to take off over 150 days per year while still selling hundreds of homes. Over the course of his career, Pat bought over fifty homes himself, many of which he sold in order to purchase cash-flowing commercial properties. Pat presents to thousands of people every year at a variety of professional conferences. He has appeared on ABC and Fox News programs as an expert on real estate trends, and he has been profiled or quoted in Time, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, and many real estate industry publications. He lives in a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland with his wife and two daughters.Full content visible, double tap to read brief content. Still, I enjoyed the personal anecdotes and engaging tone. Whether you are brand new to the business or a seasoned vet. Pat lays it all out in 6 easy steps. I don't guess I understand why folks wouldn't 'get' this. But there you have it. I'm grateful I ran across Pat and his book. Great, great material. He's been in the trenches of real estate and you can tell that!I like listening to it in bite-sized chunks while driving to the office to get my head in the game for the coming day. It's perfect for that. Also, you introduced me to Audible. So, thank you! It's authentic, and more importantly it is packed with useful, actionable content. I highly recommend this book.In my opinion, it was very bland. It was more of a confidence and self motivating type of approach. I highly recommend this audio book. I'm glad it was read by him personally because I felt like it gave him an opportunity to express himself. The system presented should give anyone an edge in their market and Pat gives very many personal examples, not just theory. Overall a great book What did you like least? The strategies he shares are good basics and or refreshers for the beginner as well as seasoned real estate sales agent or broker. I found myself making bookmarks pretty frequently and adding notes on additional thoughts based on his ideas. The production is awful, nearly non-existent. It sounds like he either sat down and read his book straight through in one sitting, or did a chapter at a time. There is no post-production. The recording quality isn't bad, but he stops, repeats himself, mispronounces words and otherwise flubs lines. This was cyclical - he'd hit a stride and be error free for a while, then something else would happen. I did catch myself almost enjoying the candor at times, like we were in the car together talking, then he would have a bad spell and it was just painful to listen to.You can take things and apply them to your career. And, as always, it is encouraging to hear about someone's successes if you are working to do the same, too.If you are a real estate agent or are considering getting into real estate, you must listen to this book.
