Lou, how much different is the 8050 vs the 7845. Maybe the 7845 manual can work for you for troubleshooting. They do seem to be very similar other than the size. I'm not sure how much different it would be, I know the front axle is considerably different as the 8050 has planetary reduction. The 8050 has a 3 speed range compared to a 4, a two speed pto compared to a 3. The rear end casting are heavier and larger what other difference there are it's hard to say. The forward and reverse clutch packs should be quite similar and the engine is very similar. So far it hasn't needed much trouble shooting. I would like to have the software to adjust the power shuttle as it is very difficult to modulate with the foot clutch pedal.Also my dealer got me a pdf of the parts breakdown. Every thing I have found on the Internet seems to be spam of some sort.Dual-stage clutches require a VERY specific set-upIt definitely requires a clutch alignment tool specific to your tractor, and a lot of patience to get everything to slide back together (that is really the only hard part). It helps to get some extra long bell housing bolts to align the front half with the real half of the tractor, then put the stock ones back in once it slips together.I tried the links for a service manual but they only had the new models. Anyone have a pdf. I think the 3510 is the same.I'd take LOTS of pictures as you tear everything down. Take a picture of everything you take apart on the tractor, especially the clutch. It is amazing how much that helps when you go to put it back together. You will no doubt find that you tore it apart more than you needed to when all is said and done. A two stage clutch as two sets of spines on the transmission input shaft that has to align with their individual clutch. Lightly lube the tranny splines. One trick is to rotate your input tranny shafts so that they are in the same relationship as the splines on the alignment tool. Usually the forward clutch splines engage before the rear, so it isn't as hard as it sounds. Don't force it together with the bell housing bolts. I have used cheap Harbor Freight wood clamps to pull the two halves of the tractor together the last inch or two., just using minimal force. Sometimes it doesn't even take that. Just make sure the front half of the tractor is on the same center line as the rear, rock things back and forth, and turn the shafts, and it will slip together. A cherry picker (Again a cheap one from Harbor Freight will work) works well to hold up the front half of the tractor during this whole procedure.It doesn't take much, just a bit.
