Sean (402)-212-2827 According to GM Authority, the Cruze Eco-D will be introduced as part of the entire 2014 model year Cruze range, set to go on sale in the second quarter of this year. Earlier reports have indicated that the diesel Cruze will be able to achieve fuel economy numbers in the range of 50 miles per gallon. Official specifications will be released at the time of the 2014 Cruze's unveiling, though reports have stated that the sedan will be powered by a reworked version of the 2.0-liter turbo-diesel inline-four found in the Holden Cruze CDX overseas. In that application, the four-pot oil-burner produces 160 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque - increases of 20 hp and 29 lb-ft over the 2.0-liter engine used in VW's Jetta TDI. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.http://www.logo4you.dk/userfiles/dymo-datemark-stamp-manual.xml

Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial. One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue. In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem. A high-performance version was released in 1991 and given the name of GMC Syclone. The pickup was also sold by Isuzu as the Hombre from 1996 through 2000, but only in North America. An electric version was leased as a fleet vehicle in 1997 and 1998. Together, these pickups are often referred to as the S-series.The first S-series pickups were introduced in 1981 for the 1982 model year. The base engine (manufactured in Japan and imported) was a 1.9 L Isuzu four-cylinder ( RPO LR1) shared with the LUV and Isuzu P'up, with a 2.8 L V6 as an option. The Chevrolet and GMC models were identical apart from the grille, tailgate and assorted insignia.Following the popularity of the Jeep Cherokee, 4-door SUV variants were introduced in March 1990 as 1991 models alongside the badge-engineered Oldsmobile Bravada. The OHV-derived 2.2 L diesel engine and 1.9 L SOHC gas engine, both from Isuzu, were gone the next year, leaving just the Iron Duke and updated 2.8 L V6. A much-welcomed 4.3 L V6 was added for 1988, and anti-lock brakes came the next year. The GMC Syclone also appeared that year. The Sonoma GT bowed in 1992. Added to this was the 4.3 L V6 Vortec W-code engine. This generation's last year was 1993.The Baja was available in three colors: Midnight Black, Apple Red and Frost White. When first introduced in 1989, the Cameo had three color choices; Apple Red, Frost White or Midnight Black. Other appearance packages included the S-10 Back Country, predecessor to the Baja, the S-10 Top Gun edition, the GMC Sonoma SST, the GMC S-15 Gypsy Magic and GMC Jimmy Magic. While sharing the same front and rear bumper as the Syclone (and future 92-93 GMC Typhoon), the aero package did not have as much of an aggressive look as the Syclone but still featured bumperettes, lower door skirts, and rear quarter bed corners to round out the cladding package. The gauge cluster was also the same setup, however due to the non turbo-charged powerplant of the Sonoma GT, the boost gauge is not included in the RPM cluster. The Sonoma GT's production only lasted for 1992.For 1993 no specialty labeling or limited edition tags were known to be used with the W-code engine. Production totals for these vehicles are unknown. All of the special models (the Syclone, Typhoon, and Sonoma GT) were discontinued, but the changes to the pickup brought it in line with its major competitor the Ford Ranger. In compliance with the Clean Air Act, all second generation S-10s and Sonomas equipped with air conditioning used CFC-free R134a refrigerant beginning in the 1994 model year. The all new 1994 S-10 didn't offer any airbag, presumably as a temporary measure to economize the introduction of the new body styles, as well as to gradually phase out steering wheel designs that didn't accommodate for airbags, though the vehicle itself was slated for airbag capability.Sport utility models (Blazer, Jimmy, Bravada) came with thicker front and rear sway bars. This was also the year that GM introduced the ZR2 off-road package. In 1996 the 4.3 L engine was refreshed, and a third (rear) door was added for extended cab models, along with the sportside bed option. In 2001, a crew cab option was added and was only available with four-wheel drive and an automatic transmission. For the 2004 model year, the regular and extended cab models were discontinued; only the crew cab model was retained. The 14-inch (360 mm) wheels used on the first generation were discontinued. On the exterior, the front fascia was redesigned, and new wheel designs were added.Leather-trimmed seating surfaces were also introduced for the Crew Cab for the first time for the 2001 model year. The SS was discontinued in 1998 and was replaced by the S-10 Xtreme for the 1999 model year.A step-side version was available from 1996 to 1998 and until 2003 on the Xtreme. The Hombre differed from its GM siblings mostly in the front sheetmetal, with different lights, grille, front bumper and front fenders, which were more flared out. The rear quarter panels were also different, as they had a slight flare over the wheel well to match the front fenders. The Hombre had a much smaller range of equipment options compared to the S-10 and Sonoma; a Spacecab extended cab, V6 engine and four-wheel drive were added for 1997 and available until 1998.Hombres were also available with the S-10's aluminum wheels with Isuzu center caps.It would be another six years before Isuzu re-entered the pick-up market with the i-Series, which formed the basis for the S-10's successor, the Colorado. For 2015 models, the diesel engine was refreshed, resulting in an increased power output of 200 hp. Also, for the first time in Brazil, Chevrolet offered the flex-fuel S-10 with four-wheel drive.Archived from the original on 2019-03-27. It seems nearly impossible to understand or appreciate automotive history without first understanding the larger history behind it. This is true of the climate that created the Chevy S10 pickup truck. The 1982 Chevy S10 marked the first generation of this compact pickup, valued for its affordability and customization potential. In fact, it’s simply been re-imagined. You might be able to find used S10 pickups wherever you find Chevy trucks for sale, and you can certainly find an extensive inventory of Chevy Colorado pickups, which ultimately replaced the S10 to great acclaim. Affordable, durable, and dependable, the S10 pickup trucks sold from 1982 to 2003 and came in two-wheel drive with either four-cylinder or V6 engines. Starting in 1983, the trucks were available as either extended cabs or 4?4. The four-cylinder was a 2.5L, generating 105hp, so the six-cylinder was generally preferred for the added power. The second generation brought about more options and features, including one very unusual addition to the Chevy S10 pickup truck line. In 1996, Chevy introduced the Sportside bed and available three-door cab. For regular cab short-bed S10s, the ZR2 offered a high-performance V6 engine with alloy wheels and sport suspension. This package made off-roading a breeze, thanks to its larger, off-road-ready tires, stronger suspension, and four-wheel drive, which came standard. If you were a brave (and small) enough passenger, you could access the fold-down jump seat in the back through the third-door panel. From 1994 to 1997, the rear-wheel drive S10 pickup trucks came standard with a 2.2L, four-cylinder engine generating 118hp. Engine upgrades on the V6 in 1996 returned more power and torque, operated by either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. In 1999, the S10 Xtreme was released, similar to the ZR2, but built more with the racetrack in mind, compared to the all-terrain of the off-road enthusiast. Standard rear-wheel drive, the ZR2 stood lower by two inches, and sported body-color grille and bumpers, sport suspension, and sixteen-inch aluminum wheels. The 1999 model year really was the last year for major changes to the S10. Although the Chevy S series was a popular line of pickup trucks and they did offer durability and versatility for an affordable price, reviewers and automotive journalists criticized the lack of safety features and abundance of low-end materials throughout the interior. But, it’s popularity kept it on the road until 2004, when it was reborn into something new. Offered on a lease basis to utility fleets, customers included the U.S. Air Force, and utility companies like Virginia Power, Detroit Edison, Boston Edison, Southern California Edison, and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. It was a heavy vehicle at 4,199 pounds, but its payload remained approximately 951 pounds. This 100 electrically-operated vehicle received an update in 1998, but was ultimately discontinued later that same year. Of the 492 produced between the two model years, approximately sixty were sold, making them rare, but not impossible to find. By 2004, the Chevy S10 was discontinued, and immediately replaced by the Chevy Colorado. Still considered a compact-to-midsize pickup truck, the Colorado was larger across the board than the S10s.Supported by a more rigid frame, the 2004 Colorado came equipped with either a 175hp Vortec 2800 all-aluminum DOHC 16-valve, four-cylinder engine or a boosted 220hp Vortec 3500 all-aluminum DOHC 20-valve, five cylinder. The Colorado is still designed as a mid-size pickup truck that can handle a lot of different tasks and look great while doing it. This is a perfect truck for anyone who is interested in a pickup, perhaps a first-time truck-buyer, but one who doesn’t necessarily want a massive heavy-duty model. After all, that’s what the Colorado is all about and how it has built upon what the S10 did: offering a truck for people who want something balanced. That’s what the Colorado represents and why it has remained so important and popular over the years and into the modern era of truck design and development. It is a middle way for truck-buyers that can handle a lot of work but doesn’t have to take over your life. Chevy has designed the Colorado as a balance between work and play, and that philosophy is apparent from every aspect of this truck. After all, whether you are loading up the bed with drywall or pulling a trailer full of equipment, you want to make sure your truck can get the job done. Any of those three configuration options, however, can be selected with either 2WD or AWD, depending on the drive type you want. There is a 2.5L four-cylinder engine that provides up to 200hp and 191 lb.-ft. of torque, which is pretty good but the Colorado can certainly do better. If you want, you can step that up to a 3.6L V6 engine that can give you up to 308hp and 275 lb.-ft. of torque, which is much better for towing more weight behind you or handling heavier payloads in the bed. Finally, there is a 2.8L Duramax Turbo-Diesel four-cylinder engine available that can give you 181hp and 369 lb.-ft. of torque, which is ideal for hauling some serious weight behind you or getting up steep inclines with a payload. Well, when properly configured and equipped, the 2019 Chevy Colorado has a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 lbs. On top of that it has a maximum payload capacity of 1,574 lbs.Sure, that falls short compared to a heavy-duty pickup, but as a balanced truck designed to handle both work and play, this is a perfect experience. Remember that impressive towing capacity and maximum payload that is great for work. Well there’s no rule that says you only use that for getting the job done. When Friday afternoon rolls around you can unhook your work trailer, leave 6,000 lbs. That’s the beauty of what the 2019 Chevy Colorado has to offer. There are numerous trim levels and upgrade options available on the Colorado so you can make it just as comfortable as you want it to be. Interested in going off-road with your mid-size pickup. Then check out the ZR2 trim level. It also includes great luxury upgrades like leather-appointed front seats, an 8-inch Infotainment system, 6-speaker audio system, and multiple USB ports for connectivity and charging devices. It has heated driver and front passenger seats along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and automatic climate control. The LT trim level also has a leather-wrapped steering wheel with controls, single-zone climate control, and 4G LTE Wi-Fi functionality. Plus you get great safety features with the LT such as an HD rear vision camera, StabiliTrak with electronic traction control, and a Teen Driver system for helping new drivers learn safe habits. With the Colorado, the legacy of the Chevy S10 continues through excellent engineering, great overall design choices, and a clear vision for a truck designed for people in the middle between small pickups and heavy-duty models. That perfect middle option that gives us exactly what we want but doesn’t miss the point by skimping on powerful engine options or solid towing power. The Chevy S10 was built on the idea that truck drivers wanted a pickup that could handle both work and play equally well and get any job done, while still treating you right on the weekend. Even though the name has changed, that design goal and attitude have not. And that’s why the modern Chevy Colorado still does so much for so many drivers, and shows no signs of stopping any time soon. Let’s take a closer look at the Bow Tie’s bygone hotted-up compact pickup truck. But the Xtreme got a lot of upgrades that Chevrolet figured would attract younger buyers. Interestingly, Chevy offered the Xtreme on both the regular cab and extended cab S-10 models, and with both fleetside or flareside bed options. That meant either a 2.2L four-cylinder or an available 4.3L V6. Either could be paired with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The real deal combination was the six-banger with the stick, which put out 190 horsepower and 245 pound-feet of torque, allowing this compact, rear-wheel drive pickup some capability, especially in some high school parking lots. It also included a quicker 12:1 steering box. The Chevrolet S-10 Xtreme also got a limited-slip differential, making it quite agile in the corners, especially considering its compact size. However, we suspect that some amount of nostalgia, perhaps from our former high school parking lot hoons, will eventually give these trucks something of a bump in prestige and prices. Who knows, maybe the S-10 Xtreme will one day be considered alongside the 454 SS as the cool retro sport truck to have. Details here. We welcome your submissions. See here for details. He visited the parts bin of the Blazer and Camaro and came up with this package. The center caps for the wheels were the highest cost in development. One they made a ton of these trucks. Two even with the higher out put V6 these trucks lack power compared to today’s vehicles. Most were sold with the 2.2. A 1998 Sonoma, two 2001 Sonoma’s and a 2003 Sonoma. Next was a 2006 Colorado and then a 2007 Colorado that I still drive every day. They were all 4-cy and 5-sp man trans. Two of the Sonoma’s were stepside beds. Handled better than any of the Corvettes or Camaros that I have had. I would buy another tomorrow if they still made them. Was really fun to drive and rode great. It’s a shame that GM doesn’t make a small, affordable truck, anymore. The S-10 was wildly popular. When I was 21, I bought a brand new 1995 S-10 2WD (RCSB), with LS trim, 4.3 V6, automatic, and 3.42 gears. She was definitely a fun, quick little truck. I’d love to find another one in nice shape, but most of these trucks were driven until the doors fell off. I’d say a ZR2 4X4 variant would have a better chance of being produced, than the 2WD sport truck that you and I would LOVE to see. But, us boys gotta dream!! Love this little truck. Would like to find one of these extremes to rebuild. Enjoyed the article. I am second owner and it has been my favorite project. Wish I could post a picture. I lowered the back with a 1” lower block kit and as a result the truck has a great stance. The truck still runs and looks great. Living in San Diego also helps on saving on body rot I just wish it had a better engine than the 4.3 engine it had. I never had an issue with my GMC Sonoma Ext. Cab 4.3l with the ZQ8. It lasted until I needed more room and got the Trailblazer SS. Since then GM has lost itself for enthusiasts with families like myself who enjoy twisted roads and track days just as much as cross country road trips. I hated to see it as I loved the sport trucks. Then again it is off road. My first was a 1985 ext cab with the 4.3 that I modified to put a 8ft bed on it that was my fav at the time. Now I have a 3door ext cab 4.3 Xtreme on air ride and she looks soooo sexy layed out on the frame. All the other s10s were square body style with the 4.3 or a V8. One of my 4.3 trucks died with 320,000 miles. I special ordered a black regular cab sport side with the V6. Sadly I had to sell in back in 2002 so I could buy my SS Camaro when they were winding down Camaros in 2002. I’ve always loved the S10 platform and had several used ones over the years.Good times, long gone. I always referred to my ZQ8 extra cab as my El Camino cause that was as close as I would ever get to having a nice riding car with a bed, LOL. I settled for a Silverado rcsb in 2014. Actually too big and too hard riding. White with factory flames. Currently has 23k on the clock. It’s been lowered 2 inches otherwise it’s uncut. I have always loved these trucks. Big fan of the cyclone and typhoon as well. I had an opertunity to buy a 2004 Colorado as GM was changing over the model over the year I bought mine. So happy I didnt buy a Colorado or Canyon. I don’t even know if I should drive that I don’t wanna put any miles on it!I really feel like it’s a nicest one left anywere It Had 160K highway mikes when I sold it. Still in use today! Mechanically it was easy to fix, but cosmetically things were hard to find. Because not all of us need to purchase those 4 dr useless as a truck by any means! It is an amazing truck though You can also subscribe without commenting. We also invite you to join other enthusiasts and fans in discussing The General in our GM Forums. Previous owner spun a bearing and pulled the engine plannin on a rebuild and ended up selling the truck, I bought it and found a very strong running totaled 1998 Chevy 1500 and installed the motor. It is one heck of a little 4x4. They build these for off road use right at the factory, so its all done right. These have become collectible and have quite the following, looking at the truck its easy to see why. I have driven the truck locally after installing the motor and tested the 4x4 which is push button electric. It runs good and seems to handle nice. We walked around the entire lot looking at cars waiting for someone to approach us. There were two gentlemen in front of the office, neither offered to assist us nor even said hello.
