Line up the arrows on the sides of the plugs before attaching. Mouse Connection The selected signal input is displayed at the top right of the screen. The display will sho w the last selected input source before po wer was turned of f. (F or more information, please ref er to the Optional V ideo Module section of this manual.) The 2-prong adapter with ground is used with older U.S. electrical outlets that only support 2-prong power cord plugs. ? Note: When using this adapter, the ground lead MUST be securely fastened to the ground screw on the outlet. Plug the 2-prong adapter into the bottom socket of the eletrical outlet. Hook the end of the ground lead firmly around the neck of the outlet ’ s ground screw. T ighten the scre w, if necessary, to hold the ground in place. Then plug the po wer cord into the adapter. Ground lead The main menu will go off automa tically if there is no further action from user for 10 seconds. Press EXIT b utton to leav e the current sub-menu, and press EXIT again to lea ve the main menu.W ill in vert image to display properly according to position of projector.Select the YES option (press arrow b utton or disk pad button) to turn off. 2. The f an will continue to run for approximately 90 seconds. 3. Disconnect power cord from w all socket. 4. Disconnect cables if moving projector to ne w location.The projector will then search for the selected type of signal until it is found or switched to another type. Scanning Channels The MP7730 can recei ve ov er 100 tele vision channels. In T uner mode (TV and CA TV), press the Scan b utton on the remote control to view all a v ailable television channels. The message “ DO Y OU REALL Y W ANT T O SCAN. YES NO ” will appear onscreen. Press either the left or right arro w buttons on the remote to r each Y es or No, then press the Menu b utton to enter the selected answer. The message “ TUNER IS SCANNING NO W ” will display for a fe w seconds, and then the scanned channels will appear for a few seconds each. Select the T uner items and press or ke ys to prompt out of the tuner menu. If the source is from CA TV, please choose CA TV. F or example, if current A Box is NTSC T uner box, then “ NTSC T uner ” will appear in this section.Function (Must be perf or med with remote control unit) Channel Select Press the channel number b utton user wants to select (for example, 12), then press Return ke y to set. The channel number will appear in the lo wer right corner of the screen. If there is no further action for three seconds, the channel number display will disappear automatically. -123- Scan Press the Scan b utton for two seconds to begin scanning TV channels. T o delete channels from memory, press the button to erase the channel. A “ Channel Erased ” message will display. Users can also add c hannels to memory by pressing the b utton after selecting it. A “ Channel Added ” message will display. Rev erse Press the Re verse b utton to toggle between the previous and current channels. Channel Erased Channel Added If the lamp is used beyond the normal lamp life, the picture will become dar k and the colors poor. Always replace lamps with ne w ones. Using an old lamp in the projector could cause a malfunction. When the power is turned on, the LAMP indicator will light up red or a message will be displayed to indicate when it is time to replace the lamp. Consult your dealer. Replace the projection lamp immediately. CHANGE THE LAMP, AND RESET THE LAMP TIMER — The lamp has been operated for 1200 hours. CHANGE THE LAMP, THE PO WER WILL TURN OFF AFTER 20 HOURS — The lamp has been operated for 1479 hours, and the po wer will turn off after 20 more hours. CHANGE THE LAMP! — The lamp has been operated for more than 1500 hours, and the po wer will turn off automatically in 10 minutes. All of these messages will not display for more than 3 minutes, but each message will be dis- played whene ver you turn on the lamp ag ain. Lamp is not well attached — When the LED blinks rapidly, it indicates that the lamp is not attached properly. T emper ature is too high — When the projector ’ s internal temperature is too hot to operate safely, the LED blinks slo wly for one minute and the lamp goes off automatically. If the LED light is of f, it means that the projector ’ s lamp and temperature are opera ting under normal conditions. Caution The LAMP indicator will light if the lamp becomes too hot. T urn off the po wer and let the projector cool for 45 minutes. T urn on. If the LAMP indicator still lights up red, please contact your dealer. Maintenance Also, do not use an old or previously used lamp as a replacement lamp. W ARNING T o reduce the risk of electrical shock, always tur n off projector and disconnect power cord befor e changing lamp. T o reduce the risk of severe b urns, allow the projector to cool for at least 45 minutes before replacing the lamp. T o reduce the risk of cuts to fingers and damage to internal components, use caution when removing lamp glass that has failed and shattered into sharp pieces. This lamp contains mercury. Consult your local hazardous waste regulations and dispose of this lamp in a proper manner. 1. T urn the main po wer switch of f and disconnect the power cord from the outlet. 2. Loosen scre w and remov e the lamp cover. If the lamp is hot, av oid burns by waiting 45 minutes until lamp has cooled. 3. Loosen three screws designa ted by arrows belo w. (It is strongly recommended to use a magnetic- headed scre wdriv er, if possible. Pull the handle to remov e lamp housing. If the screws are not loosened completely, they could damage your fingers. Do not insert your hand into the box after the lamp is remov ed. If the optical parts inside are touched by hand, it could cause color unev enness, etc. 4. Replace the lamp with the ne w one, insert into projector, and tighten the scre ws. Firmly tighten the lamp scre ws. Loose screws may cause a bad connection, which may result in a malfunction. 5. Re-install the lamp cov er and tighten the scre w. Do not turn on the power with lamp co ver remo ved. Whene ver the lamp has been replaced, reset the total operation time of the lamp. Do not reset if the lamp was not replaced, as this could cause breakage. Maintenance T o select the default setting, select “ Reset ” (or “ Cancel ” to return to the default setting). 4.
