Appliance S. 4.0 out of 5 stars Perhaps it is fine for people with lighter plow setups, but my system is beefy and very heavy and it was hard to use this lift. As I looked it over, I thought that a steel cable and pulley system to replace the roller and strap would probably work much better. Replace the plastic roller with a metal pulley, and use a length of braided steel cable (sixty cents per foot) and add a metal hook with clasp, add a few extra u-bolts and washers, and you will find the effort to operate the lift will drop dramatically and you won't have to worry about the strap stretching. You can either have the hardware store create the loops on both ends of the steel cable for you, or just buy the clamps intended for this purpose. The steel cable and pulley make the operation of the crank system precise and easy to use; you can quickly drop the plow with one downward stroke of the ratchet handle, and lift it quickly and easily with a few strokes of the lever.http://www.gorzow2.komornik.org/userfiles/bosch-maxx-freedom-performance-washing-machine-manual.xml

I will attach a photograph showing the modification, this is easy to do and makes this product MUCH better. EDIT: Added photo of modifications.I would guess it takes about 30 lbs of pull but it's out away from the body so it seems like more.My Warn electric piston lift failed on the first use, it is total junk and would never buy one again. This unit I would recommend highly, it takes a little bit of muscle to engage but it never fails. I drilled a few extra holes in the base plate and added a few more anchors and it took all the flex out of it completely. It's works much better than the winch. Giving it only four stars because I had to add support structures and cross braces to mount it. When I used the lifter without those additional support structures, the bars on my rack that had the highest stress bent under the weight. The mounting unit could also use more predrilled slots for more mounting flexibility. The lift now pulls much easier than it did with the nylon strap.Otherwise the metal and springs work very well.Perfect for the ATVs without winches. Installation was simple and straightforward.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Look around for something a little well made!Sorry, we failed to record your vote. After the initial installation, the blade and push tube may be connected or disconnected from the ATV in a matter of seconds by way of the mount’s quick release design; just two pins and you’re on your way. Each blade is equipped with a one-piece replaceable wear bar that protects the bottom of your blade from undue damage. We've taken the time to test and create the easiest most effective plow system on the market. We listened! All Uni-Plow One-Box ATV Plow components are finished in durable black powder-coat and carry a one-year.The UniMount universal mount allows UniPlow to fit most ATVs on the market. This 'Plow in a Box' concept isn’t new, but building it right is. We’ve taken the time to test and create the easiest, most effective plow system on the market. Customers told us that they wanted a fully-assembled 50” plow blade and minimal install time. We listened.Check out the fit chart, we're pretty sure you'll see yours there. Instead of buying a plow, then a mount, then some push tubes, paying for shipping on the whole thing and praying it all works together, we designed a single system that works with a universal mount. Don't lie. You're impressed. We've listed everything we could test, but we know that our mount will work with more ATVs than we've listed. There's nothing to tighten, no extra nuts, bolts or jutting metal to hold sticky snow. You're spared the rattling and squeaking of metal on metal and you get greater integrity and corrosion resistance. What you might save in shipping costs you lose in strength, and that's not a sacrifice we're prepared to make.We know your ATV has other uses, so we designed a quick-release mechanism so you can easily remove your plow blade and push tubes without removing your mount. We don't want you to worry about getting stuck on stumps or bottoming out, so our mount hugs the ATV frame for maximum ground clearance.http://www.raumboerse-luzern.ch/mieten/3-matic-manual You get the luxury of easy plow attachment without the hassles of a bulky mount.Simply move the pin and angle the blade to one of six positions for efficient plowing. Our blade pivots on a spring loaded pin, with an easy-to adjust handle for precise, easy adjustments. We designed our mechanism to snap into place and not to hold snow so that you can re-angle the blade as needed.One-piece blade, universal mount, hardware, push tube, all packaged in recyclable materials. We aren't playing price games, giving you a deal on push tube that's only compatible with a super-spendy blade, that's only compatible with a mount that's not even in stock. That's not how we work. One click. One box. One price. Couldn't be easier.Instead of spending big bucks on a gimmicky handle, we prefer a multi-purpose winch. Andrew L Parish 1.0 out of 5 stars It sounded like a great deal. Unfortunately everything about it is a giant headache and cheaply made, except maybe the blade itself. During assembly, the bar on the blade didnt want to fit together unless I exerted a large amount of force to wiggle the bar into place on the bolts. The bolts are made of extremely cheap materials. All of them. During the entire process of building it, 3 bolts snapped off as easy as a candy cane with standard hand tools. During the first time using it, about halfway through plowing 6-8in of Colorado powder on a 150ft driveway, the U-bolts start coming loose and the plow started swinging to either side. After tightening the bolts, I was able to finish plowing, but had to tighten them yet again! 2nd time plowing, the loosening of the U bolts happened again, and this time, the lever that angles the blade to either side got bent very slightly.http://aquaer.com/images/4-wheel-drive-manual-trucks.pdf A small amount of bending with pliers fixed that and all was fine. 3rd time's (not) the charm though. After about 5 mins of plowing about 6in of powder, the whole blade starts moving at random angles. Apparently the lever that controls the angle of the blade must have broke the bolt somehow and fell off in the snow. Since I didn't realize it instantly until the next push, it also somehow bent the bar that was next to said lever. So now the plow is effectively useless because it just pushes snow in all directions. This was installed exactly according to the directions. The mount did not hold tight to the machine frame and all the mounting bolts bent on first use. Replaced all product mounting bolts with stainless steel bolts. The mount still pivoted sideways. I had to take it to a friends machine shop, replace all the bolts again, drill and add 4 more bolts. 9 bolts total including the replaced original. Now it is finally secured to the frame and skid plate. Very poor mount design. With the mount behind the front wheels it gives the plow and frame much more leverage to twist the plow mount. The plow blade is very thin and light but seems to work OK so far. All of us have truck plows and operated heavy equipment plows here in Northeast Minnesota where we have snow 6 months a year so plows and plowing are nothing new to us.While I still believe those hold true, I became a little frustrated with some of the problems that kept adding up. First thing I noticed was that i received some of the hardware in the wrong quantities. This ended up being fine since i cound use a one of the short screws in place of a longer screw i was missing for the wear bar. The 2nd issue I ran into was that the drawing was showing the wrong order of parts on the plow assembly (see above pics for comparison). Again it was easily fixed that I just had to disassemble and reassemble. The 3rd issue I had was that when assembling the actual snow blade, it states to leave screws loose til you have all the pieces on. Actually, you have to leave the nuts only a turn or so on, and flex the blade to get everything to line up. All of this was minor annoyances that I stayed positive through. The straw that broke the camels back was the fact, that I had to take a grinder to take off some of the rounded edge off, where the push tube assembly attaches to the atv mount. The hole was not drilled in the right position perfectly on one side of the push tube mount therefore it would not fit, and there seems to be little to no allowable tolerances built in for the metal. I highly doubt powdercoat was factored in on that tolerance as well None of these issues were actual fitment problems that you would expect from a universal fit item. I was impressed that those did not exist at all, however I believe the company has a disconect between engineer, fab shop, and manual writers. All of which points to quality control issues. I truly believe that they make a great product, and hope that this helps guide them in the right direction as well as give anyone else a heads up that they may have to adjust for these issues.I ordered the plow as a Christmas present so we didn't get to open it and attempt to install until a month after purchase (and 1 snow fall). Once we unboxed, we were missing the lower blade ware bar. We can probably thank UPS's excellent shipping skills for that, but we contacted Extreme Max and they shipped us a replacement. The directions included are difficult and some of the pictures with fine details are bad. With so many nuts and bolts it would be nice if they were packaged by step to ensure your using the correct parts. With the assembly we broke 3 bolts in total.just using a regular socket. Finally get the plate mounted, and the blade assembled. We broke the eye bolt for the spring (tried to use the wrong nut because you can't see in the pictures). Shaking head at this point. We finally got it all attached and hooked up. We also installed a new Winch to lift and lower the blade. We are happy with the looks and how it fits on the ATV, it should be easy to take on and off seasonally. Now we just need the snow to try it out. That said, I agree with other purchasers, the instructions leave a lot to be desired and the photos were difficult to see. Good thing I actually have Grade 8 bolts to replace them with. If it wasn't such a pain in the ass, I would return it. Amazon, needs to ensure the vendor is accurate in their item description as I feel I was taken advantage of. I feel cheatedSorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again The assembly and installation on my Honda Foreman 400 was straight forward and took me about an hour and a half. Admittedly, I was skeptical about the plows durability and strength as the plow is made of thinner metal. However I put this plow to the test this weekend during a major winter storm and I couldn’t be happier with it. The plow curls snow when wind rowing perfectly despite is height compared to other brands and the trip mechanism works perfectly. I got a few curbs and lips covered under the snow at a considerable speed and the plow tripped as it should without any damage to the blade of face. The plow disconnects from the frame by 2 pins making it very easy to drop it.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again So I rounded up. Start to finish. It took us 5 hours to assemble. Put the mount of the atv, (2001 Honda Foreman 450) and then bolt the plow up to the mount. A few things that peeved me were. 1. I found the directions to be on the poor side. Items were misnamed and not clearly marked. That slowed us down a lot. 2. At least on this bike. If you are looking for an easy quick release plowing system. There was a lot of swearing. But. It went it after dozens of attempts. Overall. Everything seems to be made well. And the initial test with some snow was positive. I will be keeping an eye on the mount etc as the winter rolls along and we push more and more snow to make sure it does not loosen or bend. I would prefer a front mounting quick release but unfortunately that isn't available for my atv. Word of advice. Don't loose any nuts or bolts as there are ZERO extra.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again However the hardware, the carriage bolts in particular, are absolute garbage. I’ve had two break on me after one use. I went to local hardware store and bought higher grade bolts plus a bunch of spares. Remainder of plow seems of good quality, that’s why it’s so odd they ship with such garbage bolts.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again The instructions were written and translated by a first year english second language student, but it's not rocket surgery. I welded it to the frame. Had to grind a little off the push bars to make it fit in the mount. With all that said, it works well and I am happy with it. Bring on the snow!Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Fit perfectly. Everything arrive in one piece and on time. Took me about 1.5 hours to assemble the blade and the instructions are pretty straight forward. Took me another 15 minutes to connect the mount to the Quad. Again pretty straight forward as it only mounts one way. Received it in the fall but I tried it out by leveling some ground that included grass, sand.dirt and rocks and it held up great. With winter here now plowing snow is no problem for this blade as it pushes more than enough without flexing. Hooking up to the mount is quite easy if you use you winch to help you along. I see there was a person saying that he tried dozens of time to line the holes up along with some swearing and I do agree that it would be troublesome without using the winch. I pull up to the blade and get it somewhat centered. Doesn't have to be perfect as the winch does most of the work afterwards. Drive over it till its close to being inline with the mount. Hook the winch hook to the back center hole. Could be different for other quads but this one works best for me. Raise the blade till it starts to teeter than while standing at the front of the blade I'll slide it into the mount and walk over to the sides of the quad and insert the pins. Works great for me. First try every time. I would recommend this blade and they do go on sale for a good price in the fallSorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Easy hook up to quad, 2004 Artic Cat. Quality looking plow, expect it will meet expectations for many years to come. Highly recommended.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Perhaps not as heavily built as some but no problems with heavy Northern Ontario snow fall. Once the plate is mounted to the ATV removal and remounting is simple. Be sure to securely mount the plate to prevent swivelling movement of plow blade under heavy load.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Snapped off two bolts without really trying so not sure on quality of steel. Haven't had the chance to run it through it's paces yet as temperatures took a dip and I need to drill my skid plate on my sportsman to facilitate the installation of the mounting plate(tight squeeze). For the price seems ok.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again Very easy to use and does a. Very easy to use and does a good job of clearing the snow on our driveway even though it is gravel and a slope.Sorry, we failed to record your vote. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn anLearn more But rather than turning to your trusty shovel, another solution is to get an ATV snow plow for your all-terrain vehicle. We have created this product guide to help you out in the task of choosing, so let’s get started! The large diameter pivot assemblies work to rotate the blade smoothly and reliably to ensure that you get years of faithful service out of it. If it strikes an immovable object, it is specially designed to trip forward to protect the plow assembly from getting damaged. You can optimize the blade depending on the conditions that you are facing. There is also a powder-coated finish, which is specially designed to keep material off the blade. It is designed to mount to the ATV frame behind the wheels, rather than the front or middle, which transfers the force to the frame for effectiveness. When you come to install it, you can do so via the push tube which is designed for simplicity. It is made in the USA and there is a one-year warranty included in case anything goes wrong during this time. You can also fit it at multiple different angles to ensure that it plows through the snow with maximum effectiveness. The cutting edge also helps you complete the task with ease. As well as snow, its heavy-duty construction makes it suitable to deal with gravel, dirt, and sand. The plow mounts comfortably to the front of your ATV, which makes installation much more straightforward. When the season changes and the weather gets warmer, there is no need to remove the mount. But if you feel the need to do so, installation and removal is easy. Ultimately, this is a durable piece of equipment, which does the job well. As such, it is suitable for larger than average vehicle and more rugged conditions. Everything that you require to connect the system up with your ATV is included. Bear in mind that it is made for UTVs with a 2-inch receiver, so you should ensure that your vehicle is compatible. Plus, there are three extra horizontal stabilizers which are designed to support the deepest point of the blade. The heavy-duty skid pads are fully adjustable depending on your requirements. Previous customers have been impressed by the level of durability which this blade offers, as well as how easy it is to install on their vehicle. Plus, it is the kind of product which has been built to last. This one features a highly curved profile and tapered designed which moves snow away from the surface which you need to clear. As for the finish, it is both low-friction and powder coated to ensure that nothing sticks to the surface. At the bottom is a tough wear bar, which scrapes the surface and picks up anything which has gathered there. It is made to fit with the WARN ProVantage system. This will help you to narrow down your options. If you own a standard size ATV, which is around 50” in width, a regular 50 to 55-inch snow plow is likely to do the job just fine. However, if you own a larger vehicle with a width of 60 inches or more across, you are likely to need a larger plow measuring between 60 and 70 inches. Most of them are between 16 to 24 inches. Since short blades have less surface area, they don’t need so much power to push through the snow. If you have a more powerful ATV, it will be able to cope with the increased snow build-up which you get from a larger blade, whereas smaller vehicles will not. A longer reach helps to improve efficiency in certain situations, but it also reduces the ability to move the plow around in tighter spaces. Again, the weight of the plow needs to be matched to the size and power of the vehicle. If your ATV is less powerful, it will struggle to deal with an especially heavy plow. You don’t want to put any unnecessary strain on the motor or suspension of your vehicle. Double check the reliability of the brand and how well built it is. High-quality steel and multiple support levels are worth looking out for. You could also look at the country of manufacture. If they are US-made, this is often an indication of high manufacturing standards and quality materials. After all, you want something which is going to look good on your vehicle. Check for low-friction coating on the blade, which helps to reduce scratches and dents, as well as ensuring that snow does not stick to it. If the plow is easy to install, this makes your job so much easier, and ensures that you don’t have to waste a lot of time. There are times when you want to clear your driveway at a moment’s notice, and quick installation is highly important. Here is some more information on the different types you can buy. Straight plows are the more common choice as they are more affordable and lightweight. However, v-plows have the benefit of an arrow-like design, which helps to get through frozen solid snow. Bear in mind that these are the more expensive option and they are best-suited to larger vehicles. The most common are either the manual approach or an on-board ATV winch. Either one is perfectly fine for home use, but for those who need to clear snow or other debris on a larger scale, a direct lift system may be needed. This has the inbuilt capacity to lift the plow up and down as required, so you can remain seated on the ATV while it does its job. You may be wondering which one is more effective. Well, it depends on the individual circumstances you find yourself in. One of the main advantages they offer is effectiveness. ATVs will clear the snow away much faster than a snow blower ever could. Also, snow blowers only tend to work well if the snow is light and fluffy. If it is heavy and wet, an ATV will do the job much better. If you live in the countryside and want to clear the roads, your all-terrain vehicle with a snow plow will make short work of this task. And it is also better if you plan on clearing snow on a more commercial basis. They will fit in places where it would be impossible to get an ATV snow plow. You can wield one easily without having to make big adjustments to the correct angle. If you are clearing an area like a lawn, an ATV plow can be damaging, but this is not the kind of issue you have with a snow blower. On the downside, they are slower to clear big quantities of snow, and you will need an especially powerful one if you need to clear large amounts of ice which has frozen over. If you have never undertaken this task before, it can feel slightly daunting. To help you out, here are a few simple tips to follow. You don’t want to risk overloading your vehicle. At best, it will have trouble plowing through the snow. At worst, you will seriously damage your ATV, and you are even putting your own safety at risk. Working in cold temperatures can be tough, so you need to ensure that you have completed all essential maintenance work to keep it in good working order. Check the oil, tire pressures, the electrical wiring, and anything else which may affect the vehicle performance. You need to set the depth to the ideal spot where it will clear the snow without overloading the vehicle or damaging the surface underneath. You may have to alter the depth depending on the surface and the amount of the snow that you are plowing. Consider where you want the snow to end up when adjusting the angle. Getting this correct will ensure that you don’t have to put in as much effort. Trying to plow snow which is too deep and heavy will risk overloading it. Instead, these areas need to be plowed a little at a time, going back over the area as needed. Also, you need to be wary of anything which is hiding underneath the snow. Curbs, garden equipment, and landscaping features are just three examples of what could be waiting for you. If possible, you should remove as much as you can before snowfall. For the things that you can’t move, you could put some poles or other markers in place. This will also help to ensure the blade with not hit the ground on uneven surfaces. Start your first pass straight down the middle with the blade angled in the plowing direction. The snow will get deeper as you pile it up, so you should make your passes using less of the blade. Otherwise, any remaining snow can end up freezing and getting stuck to your vehicle and it will be a major headache to remove next time you come to use it. Its central purpose is to clear snow and ice from outdoor surfaces, but many can be used to remove sand, dirt, and other debris. Often, these are for personal use in climates which attract high snowfalls, but they are also commonly used for commercial purposes as well. These attachments can be bought as individual components or an entire kit with all the parts that you need. The key piece of equipment is the front-mounted scraping blade, which comes in various designs including a straight blade, V-shape, and tapered design. There are also a range of mounting and support components. You should wash the plow down after every single use. At the very least, you need to complete this task after you use it on a heavily-salted surface. If rust spots start to accumulate, you may need to sand these off and paint the plow. If the blade has removable parts, you need to ensure that these are kept well-oiled. When you put the plow away for storage, you should choose a place which is cool and dry. Air should be able to reach it continually. If you cover it up too tightly, it is more likely that condensation is going to gather. The vehicle needs to be big enough to accommodate the size of the plow. Check the seller’s information for information on compatibility. If you are still unsure, it is worth getting in contact with the company directly. After all, this is an expensive piece of equipment, and you want to get it right time first time. It can be made from aluminum, steel or polyurethane, and is also available in straight blade, v-shape, and tapered designs. There is also a mounting kit which will fit at the front, mid, or rear of the vehicle. Also, you have the push tubes, which attach to the mounting bracket and extend to the front of the vehicle. Their purpose is to allow the blade to be attached to the ATV. Some allow for multiple mounting angles, or a mechanism which allows it to be reset. Finally, you have the skid plates or feet, which keep the blade slightly above the surface to reduce the damage which it can cause. These stop dirt and gravel from the ground being scooped up along with the snow. A few of these items include a manual lift, winch, power lift, power blade rotator, wear bar, blade markers, rubber plow flaps, plow wings, and plow weight bars. The manufacturer should provide detailed instructions on how to install the snow plow, so read these carefully before starting any work. You can then maneuver it under the vehicle to install the mounting plate in a forward mount or mid-mount style. Whichever you choose, you should attach it with U-bolts. These are designed to wrap around the frame of the ATV to keep the snow plow securely in place. This process should only take a couple of minutes. Many people choose to keep the mounting plate on permanently as it makes it easier to attach and detach the snow plow as needed. You should have a set of pins and latches which attached the tube to the front of your vehicle. If you don’t need to raise up the plow too high, a straight push tube should be fine. These are not designed to elevate high and are likely to be stopped at the bottom of the frame. If you need extra elevation, your other main option is an articulating push tube. When the tube hits the bottom of the frame, the blade will keep rising as the tube has an extra hinge to give it more height. These come is a variety of sizes and are usually made from steel or polyurethane.
