Man, were they all over the place. The first four channels were at about 650Hz (!!!), the last four at about 350Hz. One should aim for 440Hz according to the filter tuning instructions, but the first four channels can't reach this low. I tuned all of them to 530Hz, and now all my voices are working perfectly, apart from the panning problem, that remained. After further testing, it seems that the first four channels are panned a bit left, while the last four channels are dead center (tested with global stereo width set to mono!).
