In Europe the Audi A4 was voted the safest car and the best value-for-money vehicle ever. Quattro AWD technology was available in all A4s and much loved by drivers, who said it turned the dreaded chore of driving in snow and ice into something pleasurable that some said they actually looked forward to. Coupled with Audi's always impeccably tuned suspension, shocks, and responsive steering, the A4 added a smooth, comfortable ride to its already elegant interior.http://www.berliner-mauersteine.de/upload/eos-rebel-xti-400d-manual.xml

The difference is usually the major drop of prices compared to six or seven digits you'd spot from a vehicle fresh off the brand's dealership. To help you understand just how much you can spend on buying a used car, see out these tips below: The 4 indicates that you shouldn't need to pay the car more than a 4-year term; while 10 indicates that your total spends on the vehicle shouldn't exceed 10 of your total monthly income. This can range from 1 to 5 years depending on the agreement and payment is usually required every month. You need to make estimates or rather the most accurate calculations you can come up with, to know whether your car's financial demands are lower than 10 of what you earn. You are earning Php 25,000 per month, while your spouse is earning Php 20,000. The total monthly income would be Php 45,000.00. When calculated, the 10 of 45,000 is Php 4,500.00, so your total monthly expenses for your car every month shouldn't exceed that amount. It's best not to tweak the household budget so much that you need to sacrifice the basic necessities like education and food just so you could afford a car. But you know what they say about research and comparing stuff, you can't have enough of information. Would it be a good idea to bring it straight out of town. Cover it in a good blanket and call it “baby”? You might want to read on, you might learn a thing or two. A diary that contains all the quirks and features of your new ride. Written there are the different things your new car can do and what every button does. Helpful tips like how to start your car, navigating through the infotainment system, arranging the seats and adjusting the various drive settings of your vehicle can save you the hassle and confusion. There are 2 schools of thought with breaking your car in. By flat-out hitting the accelerator and reaching the car's red-line within reasonable speeds on the free-way would loosen-up your car for the long haul. What this does is the mechanical bits of your engine would work at their capacity for the very first time. During the first 1000 km do not let the engine get too strained and shift as soon as possible. Read the section above about familiarizing yourself with the manual. Many cars nowadays will tell you what to do with the initial break-in. Also, speak to your dealership on what their prescribed break-in procedure would be about your car. A vehicle can be stuck in inventory storage for months on end before you purchase it. Always check the car's oil and fluids and make sure that they are at the optimum level. The size class for cars is determined by the interior passenger and cargo volumes. The size class for trucks is defined by the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), which is the weight of the vehicle and its carrying capacity.EPA re-tests about 10 of vehicle models to confirm manufacturers’ results. This is typically measured in liters (3.2L, for example), though sometimes it is expressed in cubic inches. I-4 and V-6 refer to the configuration and number of cylinders.Transmissions must either be controlled manually by the driver (“Manual Transmission”) or automatically by the vehicle (“Automatic Transmission”). The body weighs 10 less than that of the car it replaces. Exterior styling is aggressive and in keeping with Audi's new company face. The front end features a larger grille and sculpted LED daytime running lights, while the sides are sculpted and scalloped. Inside, high-quality materials abound, with plenty of leather and brushed aluminum, as one would expect from Audi. The interior is larger than the previous A4's, as is the trunk. An advanced multi-media interface is standard, as are six airbags. A new, 265-hp 3.2-liter V6 replaces the 255-hp 3.2 V6, while a 211-hp 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder replaces the 200-hp unit of years past. Its fresh face and benchmark interior distinguish it from its Mercedes-Benz C-Class and BMW 3-Series competitors, while its new dimensions also make it the largest car in its class. With the sure-footedness of Audi's world-class quattro all-wheel-drive system, more power from two new engines, the availability of both a wagon and a convertible, and the always-addictive oomph of the S4 model, Audi's sports sedan lineup has a little something for everyone. The A4 is available as a four-door sedan, a five-door station wagon dubbed the Avant, and as an open-top Cabriolet. Sedans derive their power from either a 2.0L 4-cylinder or a 3.2L V6. The former delivers 211 turbocharged horsepower, while the latter puts out 265 hp. Avants come only with the 211-hp 2.0T; the Cabriolet is powered by either a 200-hp turbocharged 2.0L or a 255-hp 3.2L V6. A 6-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission is standard, which allows for seamless shifting without power loss, and also features a second shift gate for manual up-down shifting. Optional on the Cabriolet is a continuously variable transmission (CVT). While all A4s make use of Audi's proven quattro all-wheel drive, the Cabriolet with CVT drives only the front wheels. The slick S4 comes only as a Cabriolet powered by a 4.2L V8 putting out 340 hp, delivered to all four wheels via either a 6-speed manual or the 6-speed Tiptronic. A4s come in three trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus and Prestige. Premium cars come nicely equipped with standards like 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, leather seating, heated power mirrors, power driver's seat, a sunroof, Sirius satellite radio, Servotronic speed-sensitive steering and a split-folding rear seat back. Premium Plus trim adds amenities like three-zone air conditioning, Bluetooth handsfree interface, Homelink universal garage door opener, heated front seats, fog lights, driver's seat memory, and dynamic self-adjusting Bi-Xenon headlights. The aggressive S4 comes outfitted with special 18-inch wheels, Bluetooth, four-way electrically adjustable lumbar support in both front sport seats, and of course that big V8. Popular standalone options on the new A4 include a Navigation Package with rearview camera, walnut or ash wood inlays, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, and Audi drive select, which allows drivers to choose a set-up for the chassis and suspension, from comfort to sport, which alters the driving and handling characteristics of the A4.Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to rupture. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Hogan 1.0 out of 5 stars We busted the car budget to pick up a CPO with extended warranty coverage and included dealer maintenance. Within the first few months the problems began. The first issue was the the key fob (which you insert in the dash and push to start, and turn off) became stuck in the whole. It could not be removed, and the car was running. We called the 800 number and at they sent a flatbed to tow it to the dealer, still running. (this led to a broken front spring that was refused under warranty as it was due to being towed to the dealer.under warranty.) The interior began to slowly fall apart thereafter. The rear upper grab handles began falling off. The plastic trim on the passenger seat back completely separated. The driver and passenger windshield pillar airbag covers fell off. This was nothing compared to the oil consumption. At the 20K mile oil change it was noted to be 2 qts low. Which was distressing as we had replaced 1 qt when the low oil warning sounded (there is no dipstick, you cannot physically check the oil level) and when it went in for maintenance the low oil warning was off. At 500 miles post oil change the warning came on. I added 1 qt of oil and then took it immediately to the dealer who reported it was over 2 qts low. We went round and round with Audi North American who finally admitted there was a TSB for this issue. They authorized the dealer to replace the entire intake system. This cured the oil consumption problem for about 10K miles. At 55K miles the oil consumption had grown to about 1 qt every 300 miles. I purchased the dealer only 'tool' to check the oil (a marked wire for different engines to check oil level physically.) The CEL was constant. Under warranty the dealer had replaced the main ECM, all injectors, the CAT and the intake system, again. The car never went from oil to another in the entire time we owned it without an unscheduled trip tot he dealer. We sold it before the extended warranty ran out. I am sure it lays dead on the side of the road as I type this.Even the dealer needs two or three attempts to get them smooth. Another is oil consumption, but that was addressed on mine by replacing the piston rings and the PCV valve with updated designs. Oil consumption now is very reasonable. I'm just glad it was done under warranty. I get DTC codes popping up from time to time that just go away after a spell. When I read the codes, they run from low performance of the catalytic converter to running rich at idle, to EVAP leak. I have spent considerable time and money chasing these down to only find that a problem does not exsist. I know now to wait a few days before looking into things, as the DTC light will probably go out after several starts. It is caused by the connections in the compartment beneath the seats being in need of a simple wiggle to improve the connections. They have been the most reliable cars I have had and as I am 77 that is many cars. The Avant is much more useful than the saloon. It is easy to drive, it has a six speed Tiptronic gear box, it is very quiet and comfortable on a long journey and is economical. I sometimes drive 750 miles in a day.All agree that seal failed as a result of improper installation or material defects. The failed part was installed by an authorized Audi dealership and supplied by the Audi factory. A couple of weeks my 09 A4 has languished at the dealership while all parties maneuver to assign the burden of repair costs to another. Meanwhile, I find myself without the usage of my vehicle, faced with a very high out of pocked repair bill for a failed part that was either installed improperly or was defective at time of manufactured. Since this issue is still not resolved, I will return to this website and update my evaluation of the 09 A4 Quattro when I get my car returned from the Audi dealership. My car experienced an oil consumption issue that was part of a class action lawsuit that Audi lost and they still declined to fix my car based on the fact that I had fallen just outside the mileage outlined in the lawsuit. I now have a car that I am still paying for sitting in my driveway that is unusable. I would stay away from purchasing this model and year at all costs, and I personally will never purchase another Audi based on their inability to stand behind their product. We recently lost the car to an accident, but the car kept us secure from a high-speed impact from behind. The car was extremely fun to drive, very responsive, and overall a beauty. While the 2016 and 2009 models are essentially the same, there are a number of differences in the between the newer transmission, improved 2.0T engine, interior components, etc. Class-leading fuel economy, a noteworthy list of standard equipment and a reasonable starting price certainly don’t hurt, either. And, despite the extensive technology that Audi has made available for the A4 it still only offers slower DVD-based, and not hard drive-based, navigation. Finally, it now deserves the spotlight again: with bolder exterior styling, a more spacious interior, a re-tuned 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged TFSI engine and an enriched list of available content, the 2009 Audi A4 is ready for its close up. Before any trip to your local Audi dealership, be sure to check out our Fair Purchase Prices to see if you have any negotiating room when buying your A4. When it comes to residuals, we expect the A4 to deliver better-than-average resale values, remaining higher than the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, on par with the BMW 3 Series and Infiniti G Sedan and lower than the Lexus IS and the Cadillac CTS. The trunk of the A4 Sedan boasts an impressive 16.9 cubic feet of space, but those wanting more will find a better fit in the A4 Avant: With best-in-class cargo room, a reversible cargo floor, luggage retainer set and electric tailgate, this wagon can be customized to suit a number of needs. Up front, a shorter front overhang highlights a longer hood and typical oversized Audi grille in stone gray or high-gloss black. Those who wish to draw even more attention to the A4’s front end can opt for the bi-xenon headlights with R8-like LED daytime running lights. Rounding out the A4 2.0T Premium’s look are standard six-spoke 17-inch wheels, while moving up into 3.2 territory nets flashier 10-spoke 17s or five-spoke 18-inch wheels. Premium vehicles include a Multitronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), electric parking brake, sunroof (panoramic on the Avant), automatic climate control, Audi Multi-Media Interface with 6.5-inch screen, leather seats and a 180-watt 10-speaker sound system. The Premium trim offers Bluetooth, a six-speed manual transmission, iPod integration and 18-inch wheels, while opting for Premium Plus presents a DVD-based navigation system with back up camera. Audi’s most desirable options are tied to the Prestige trim and include the S-line styling package, Audi drive select (adjusts the steering, suspension and shift points) and 19-inch wheels. A few options are available regardless of trim, like rear side airbags, quattro all wheel drive and Tiptronic automatic transmission with or without paddle shifters. Cost of upkeep. Has been a decent vehicle.
