Conversacion y gramatica is organized by chapter theme, grammar, functions, and vocabulary. It features conversation snippets, interviews, and listening passages as well as high-interest reading selections to further accentuate students’ acquisition of key Spanish vocabulary. Lectura y redaccion is designed to enhance the development of reading and writing skills, the understanding of Hispanic cultures and societies, as well as awareness of one’s own cultural beliefs, values, and assumptions. Mundo 21’s content-based approach provides students with a wealth of opportunities to interact with each other as they discuss the many cultural and literary readings in each unit.
