Doug Taylor 2.0 out of 5 stars Like every other Haynes manual I've ever been 'stoopid' enough to buy, this one was a complete waste of money. Pictures too unclear to see what they are showing, processes are begun without any explanation how to get there. The engine rebuild is nine pages. I mean really.c'mon! Don't waste your money.I had a problem with my ETM and it tells me what it is, but not whhere to locate it, how to remove it or how to clean it, and those functions are relative easy once y0ou look on the internet. This manual is lacking a lot and I would never buy another for a car. I would spring the the manfg. Like so many, I'm tired with being ripped off by dealer garages when I can do it my self if I have the same manual.Great in that it covers a range of years too. Its working. It was used but in like new condition.They just tried to cram too many models into this edition and it suffers incomplete information for many procedures. Perhaps the English don't work on their cars as much as the Americans do, though. There just isn't as much information as i would have like to see in this book.Overall, it is better to have it handy as a reference than not.It does cover several models but has been good thus far. I wanted it to find out how to remove the centre console in order to change the bulb on the gear shifter. A daunting task even with the manual. It involves removing the rear seat. I was really hoping there would be a DIY-oriented process for replacing the fuel pump on the older steel tanks but it wasn't there. While this book should be in every Volvo owners bookshelf as a must have, most Volvo owners that do their own work will find this has limited value. Too generic. Not any Volvo special tool work around's, of which their are many as an example. Nor has the authors bother to avail themselves of the vast amount of items that any Volvo owner who does their own work accumulate. For the cost I was also expecting better paper quality, this is not something that you would leave in a garage. Bottom line is that the folks that made this book didn't due what they could have done and it shows.Poor photos, poor descriptions. I bought an online manual that is much better at presenting the information, however it has issues too. Twixt the two and YouTube videos, it is possible to work on Volvo's.The photos are mostly helpful, though sometimes it’s hard to determine to what the arrows are pointing. Overall, very helpful, but not great. However, all Haynes manuals that I have used are better than any Chilton manual I have used.I have found errors and instructions that are completely wrong but not many. Most of the time these manuals are spot on accurate and can be relied on to guide you through most repairs very well.Cannot find in auto stores. From 2000 to 2007, the second-generation Volvo V70 was manufactured and sold. By 2003, the crossover was christened the XC70, while Volvo S60 was the sedan version of the V70. Unveiled in February 2007, the third-generation V70 was produced from 2007-2016. Although it was still marketed as the V70 and XC70, it was now based on the P3 platform. By April 2016, production was ceased on the V70; however, the XC70 continued to be manufactured until May 2016. For this generation, the sedan was named the Volvo S80. Volvo launched the second-generation V70 to most countries in early 2000, including North America. Built on the Volvo P2 platform, the second generation shared significant styling and mechanical and styling commonality with the Volvo S60 saloon. For 2005, all P2 platform Volvos received a slight facelift across all markets. Some changes were also made to the electrical system and some of the engines, for instance, diesel engine models were given a particle filter. In addition, too new 6-speed automatic transmission was offered in both FWD and AWD configurations. Manufacturing and production of the second-generation V70 and XC70 ended after the 2007 model year.
