That was not a personal attack, that was me putting my foot down on a thread that has been a lot of work over the years with the rules of the thread on page one.History of the Hardbody only. I have become short-fused over the years. Greg may have posted in here but that doesn't validate arguing the content of the thread with me. Please start a new thread on this topic. In any case, thanks for your forgiveness, I can see that you have been a long time contributor to this forum. I also noticed that your excellent article on the suspension rebuild, something which I have had the parts for for years but never gotten around to, was missing almost all the images. I am getting imageshack to restore the missing images. They stated they will have them restored by tomorrow at the latest. I have already put on a new 3 core radiator, Derale 70 AMP dual fan, 100A alternator, rebuilt the throttle body, replaced all brake parts except the metal lines, all new wheel bearings and seals (front and rear). I also have all the raw materials to build a massive new center console. My previous comments were correct however. I am not doing any of this due to failed parts (except cracked dash) and I really do still have the original hoses on there, just to see how long before they blow. The only other problems I ever had were slow leak on the clutch slave cylinder (5 spd man), totally rusted AIV box (which I just bypassed), and of course the melted speedo needle, which I just fixed with a piece of balsa wood carved and painted to match the tach needle. I think I can get over 500K miles out of that engine. Timing chain looks brand new and tensioner has a long way to go, 175 lbs compression (not a lb difference between cylinders), and haven't even adjusted the valves more than a few thousandths over the years. Love that old truck, as I have had it in some severe conditions, and it keeps on going. Saw that, but as you know the engine changed slightly for 88 and 89 and so did the manuals. It is not the actual info I am after. I just wanted to completely restore my manual as I am also rebuilding the truck. Thanks for your support. If you are seeing images in these places, then I must have a serious caching problem (not) on all my browsers, OR hopefully you are pulling them from your cache and therefore still have good copies you can post.
