The programmer works ok as far as i know but can anybody provide me with an instruction manual or simple instruction via the internet. Thanks very much MikeYou can create your listing free at DIYnot Local. Tested before listing, occasionally have to turn on more than once. Product Description The Potterton EP6000 is a two channel digital 24 hour heating programmer which switches your heating system on and off to give central heating and hot water on demand. The EP6000 also has a built in pre-set frost theromstat. If payment will be delayed please advise I accept Paypal, Postal Order, Personal cheque (UK only) or cash on collection Buyer is to pay postage and packing costs, I do use recycled packaging to keep cost down. Goods are dispatched as quickly as possible but only on payment of cleared funds, normally within 2 working days, occasionally 3. Photos are of actual item unless otherwise specified. Many Thanks You are the light of the world. Click here for more details I have replaced my old programmer for the EP2, however i cant set heating to come on without hot water being on also, and how do i know if my system is pumped or gravity fed. Thank You It sounds like it has been set up for gravity. If you have 1 or more motorised valves, you should use the pumped setting. On the central heating side there are no status indicators, Auto, Cont or Off. But on the HW side I do have the above indicators. But we appear to have no HW or CH. There are also now 3 On1, On2 and ON3 with Off1, Off2 and OFF3. Never have I had 3 daytime settings visible (only 2). Is there a simple fix for this ? Can you please advise. Many thanks My dad has dementia so I cant ask anymore. What I am not sure about is whether it is fully pumped or pumped and gravity hot water. There's a pump at side of Baxi back boiler, but theres an immersion heater upstairs and cold tank in loft.http://didocrosby.com/imagenes/dbi-sala-user-instruction-manual.xml

If I put the wrong code in for hot water - say gravity and it's in fact pumped, what could potentially happen? With gravity systems you cannot have heating on without hot water. When you set the new programmer to gravity, it will automatically bring on the hot water with the heating. There is no harm (except wasted fuel) in setting to gravity when you have a fully pumped system. The easiest way to tell is by seeing if the pump runs (vibrates slightly) when hot water only is running.I have tried doing a reset without any joy. They will talk you through it.It's a simple swap.My Thermostat clicks when over room temp, but cont mode ch don't fire up the boiler. Hot water on cont does fine. Is there anything I can check on the ep2001 before replacing with an EP2. And is it easy to do your self, ie as its the same back board, or do you have to use a qualified elecy ? Ta However replacing items until it works can be cheaper than an electrician. The EP2 will plug on to the existing backplate for an easy swap.I need independent time controls for heating and water. If possible the wiring should also to one for one replacement to minimise the chances for error. Please advise - thanks The timer will NOT travel past 05.15am or go back beyond 12.15am please help I have looked though the questions re changing an old EP2001 for the EP2 and it seems lots of people have done this. Are you able to help me? Regards, Mark The reference to the old models is just to show the functionality those models had. You can choose whichever functionality suits your needs. Which model you are replacing is irrelevant.I have a an EP2001 which after a power cut has developed a fault. On the central heating side there are no status indicators, Auto, Cont or Off. However on the HW side these indicators still work (except the HW red indicator no longer illuminates) and if I cycle through the HW mode selection the CH illuminates.http://www.aloeverajuice.cz/files/dbi-sala-tripod-manual.xmlIs this simply a fault on the EP2001 or could it be an indication of another problem? If this is a faulty EP2001 then I will replace it with an EP2. Regards, MarkAll you can do is reset the unit to try and rectify the fault. If no joy, then you will need to replace it.Can I replace this with a more controllable unit that has power back up. Fed up with resetting unit after power cuts. Can you recommend an easy replacement please, thanks The MEP2c is available on our website. The central heating comes on irregularly throughout the day (usually once but sometimes twice) when the central heating timer is off. I've checked whether the boiler has a frost thermostat and it doesn't. Can you offer any explanation as to why this is happening? Check if the hot water is on. Please call support on 0344 871 1545 Are you able to email me a wiring diagram which will enable me to change what I am guessing is a faulty setup? What do you select if you are replacing an ep3000 with this controller unit. I will be using the existing backplate. The referal to model numbers in the table just shows the capabilities of older models.Regards. When I turn the hot water on it doesn’t work unless I also turn on the central heating. Is there not a way to just turn on the hot water without having to also turn on the heating? Thanks If it is not working then you may have a failed motorised valve. Will the EP2 plug into the existing wired back box without any alterations. Norman You can have different times for each day of the week. After a few weeks, it starts to lose time. This morning, it was 7 mins slow although was only reset a few weeks ago. Is this a common fault. Am I missing something obvious that I should be doing? Thanks. RachelIf I manually turn the Hot water on, then manually setting the Heating on has no effect even though the Heating LED on the controller comes on. I have to switch the Hot water off, before I can turn the Heating on manually.https://labroclub.ru/blog/boss-digital-studio-br-532-manualThe Heating being manually on stops the Hot water being switched on manually. I can only switch both on at the same time using a programme. Will a new controller like the EP2 fix this? I could not confirm a fault without checking the outputs to see if the programmer is outputting a live.It allows me to set the water to twice. If I change to a new ep2 will this do the job, and can I do it myself Thanks for answering my last question. I am currently reading an online installation manual and looked at other questions, and now have another question. It states that at first power on, you need to choose Fully Pumped or Gravity System - firstly, how do you determine that, and secondly if were to get it wrong, can I then choose the other option. Thanks It can be changed if you get it wrong.I have a Potterton EP2002 with a Honeywell FrostStat alongside and wired in, but no other room stat anywhere in the house (almost all the rads have stats on). I have independent control of HW and CH via the sliders, but not via the timer (all on or none - provided sliders are both set to timed - I have two timers and can differentiate weekday vs weekend). If I replace with an EP2, will I then have independent timed control of both CH and HW and other than that, will things continue to operate as today. Thanks. Yes, you will be able to have different times for heating and hot water without changing anything else.I need to input. They will talk you through it.Will the EP2 do this okay? It then hinges up. Remember to switch off the power first. If not, you will have to replace the programmer with the EP2. The chart at section 11 of the instructions implies that if you previously had an ep2002 then you press ID number 7 when setting up. What ID number do I imput? Would the EP2 replace this model and can we do it ourselves easily or do we require a plumber? Thank you for your help However, it sounds like a motorised valve problem you have. It's time for a change as the sliders are getting faulty.http://ostroactivityholiday.com/images/7210-all-in-one-manual.pdf Is the EP2 my only option. Is there a suitable WIFI timer that would be an easy fit? Thank you in advance. Barry If you want a WiFi one, you will need to change the backplate. Is the battery built in or do you have to order it separately? However it does not enable me to, for example, set CH from 6am one day until 2am the following day. It will only go to 11.50pm the same day. Does the ep2 enable one to go beyond midnight or does it have sufficient timer options to get around this eg 6am to 11.50pm them 12.01am to 2am (at the same time being totally independent from the HW options) You can have up to 3 on periods per day per channel (heating or hot water). Thank you. Carol Can you please confirm if this is compatible with the Megaflow unvented mains pressure water heater system? Is the EP2 a direct replacement for the EP6000 ie will it plug straight into the existing EP6000 backplate which is wired for fully pumped? Also does the EP2 have a replaceable back up battery? Thanks. Robert Yes it has a replaceable backup battery. After a power cut the programmer doesn't seem to have retained my programmed times, it appears to revert to some factory set ones i.e. on at 6.30am off at 9.30am. Is it the back up battery that has gone, in which case can you get a replacement. Or is it simpler to purchase an EP2 and if so, is it simple to fit? Thanks. Harriet So a new unit is required. No wiring to do at all. My ep2 is set to gravity. How do I change it to Pumped ?You will need to reset the programmer and follow the installation instructions to change it. And how many different separate timers can I set for the central heating? You will need 1 or more motorised valves on your system for completely independent heating and hot water. You can have up to 3 on periods for heating, and up to 3 on periods for hot water. You will need to get a heating engineer to link it up to replace your built-in BP2000 programmer. Is there really nothing else I need to be aware of? But you will need one or more motorised valves for completely independent heating and hot water. The existing valve does not allow separate control of the hot water and central heating. Will the ep2 give separate control and is it a diy replacement? I have only replaced the battery once. The screen information is now beginning to break up. Is the EP2 a direct replacement ie can I use the existing back plate? My system has motorised valves and is pumped. Can I just fit the EP2 to the back plate. I am looking to replace it with EP2 as I understand it has the same back plate. Will I be able programme the central heating and the hot water independently. ( dual channel I believe)with this programmer. However, you will need a fully pumped system with one or more motorised valves to have the heating on without the hot water. Is the EP2 directly interchangeable with the EP3000. Does the EP2 have this facility? The pump over-run is controlled by the boiler so will still be maintained. I am thinking that the programmer is at fault, is it safe for us to buy an EP2 programmer and fit this ourselves? Thanks in advance for your help. Laura You just swich off the electric, then unplug the old programmer, plug on the new one, and switch the electric back on. Is it straight forward to replace myself, or would I need an electrician to fit it. I don't know anything about electrics. Thanks. You just switch off the electric, unplug the old programmer, and plug in the new one. You can then switch the electric back on and set the programmer up. It should take around 10 minutes to do, and full instructions are included. The battery is almost dead (less than 1volt). Is the fault likely to be the battery or the programmer itself? OR should I cut my losses and replace the current EP 6000 with a new EP2 We have a EP2002 with combined timing for heating and water, if we replace it with EP2 will it give us separate timing for each? Thanks This is because of a limitation in gravity systems. Thanks Is the backplate of the newer EP2 identical in template and wiring order to my old one. Also, could I keep the existing brown backplate with its present wiring, and just connect the front end of the newer EP2? As mine is set to 16 programmes, is there a switch in the EP2 for the same? Thank you for taking the trouble to answer my questions. Best Regards, Peter. Yes there is an option for fully pumped or gravity systems. It should outlast the unit during normal use, but can be replaced if it doesn't.Enter the code in the box below: Rating: Bad. Basically if I turn the hot water on it works fine and starts up the boiler. But if I turn the central heating on then nothing. Reifensteiner Verband comprised from 1897 till 1990 about 15 own schools and cooperated with further operators. It is rooted on a 1957 conference on home economics held in Bogor; it became state policy in 1972.It was added to the senior cycle Leaving Certificate in 1971, at a time when elimination of school fees was increasing participation. In subsequent decades new co-educational community schools saw more boys studying the subject. The awarding body is the SQA.These homemaking courses, called home economics, have had a prevalent presence in secondary and higher education since the 19th century.Signed by Abraham Lincoln, the Act granted land to each state or territory in America for higher educational programs in vocational arts, specifically mechanical arts, agriculture, and home economics. The conferences consisted of a group of educators working together to elevate the discipline to a legitimate profession. It emerged as a movement to train women to be more efficient household managers. At the same moment, American families began to consume many more goods and services than they produced. To guide women in this transition, professional home economics had two major goals: to teach women to assume their new roles as modern consumers and to communicate homemakers’ needs to manufacturers and political leaders. Americans wanted more opportunities for their young people to learn vocational skills and to learn valuable home and life skills. However, home economics was still dominated by women and women had little access to other vocational trainings. The lady in blue is City Light Home Economist Mary Norris, who died July 12, 2012. These practicum courses took place in a variety of environments including single-family homes, apartments, and student dorm-style blocks. For a duration of a number of weeks, students lived together while taking on different roles and responsibilities, such as cooking, cleaning, interior decoration, hosting, and budgeting. Some classes also involved caring for young infants, temporarily adopted from orphanages. Childcare practicums were often included at the same time as other classwork, requiring students to configure their intellectual and home lives as compatible with one another. Each member of the team was able to live a life outside the home as well as inside the home, ideally, one that both informed her domestic work and was informed by it.However, this program was centered on the ideals that women should acquire practical skills and a scientifically based understanding of how technology in the household works. For example, women were required to disassemble and then reassemble kitchen machinery so they could understand basic operations and understand how to repair the equipment. This movement pushed for gender equality, leading to equality of education. In the United States, both men and women are expected to take care of the home, the children, and the finances. More women are pursuing higher education rather than homemaking.Historically, home economics has been in the context of the home and household, but this has extended in the 21st century to include the wider living environments as we better understand that the capacities, choices, and priorities of individuals and families impact at all levels, ranging from the household to the local and the global community. Home economists are concerned with promoting and protecting the well-being of individuals, families, and communities; they facilitate the development of attributes for lifelong learning for paid, unpaid, and voluntary work. Home economics professionals are advocates for individuals, families, and communities. This interdisciplinary knowledge is essential because the phenomena and challenges of everyday life are not typically one-dimensional. The content of home economics courses vary, but may include: food, nutrition, and health; personal finance; family resource management and planning; textiles and clothing; shelter and housing; consumerism and consumer science; household management; design and technology; food science and hospitality; human development and family studies; communication and extension education and community services, among others. The capacity to draw from such disciplinary diversity is a strength of the profession, allowing for the development of specific interpretations of the field, as relevant to the context.Washing of surfaces is the most dangerous and complicated part because of the cleaning solutions. For example, hard water deposits are cleaned with acid solutions and grease is cleaned with alkaline solutions; they can both harm the skin and are reactive toward each other, potentially producing unwanted by-products. Mixing together chlorine bleach and strong acids (e.g. limescale remover containing HCl) forms chlorine gas, which is toxic. Solvents such as paint thinner and rubbing alcohol are toxic and flammable. Some disinfectants are toxic. Even dish water can require rubber gloves.ACTE's core purpose is to provide leadership in developing an educated, prepared, and competitive workforce. Terms such as efficiency and scientific management had already become commonplace amongst US home economists during the first decade of the twentieth century, but precisely the fact that these principles were applied so quickly to the complex working environment of the home shows that it was an environment which was ready to receive such ideas. This article seeks to show how the domestic context had already undergone profound change in that direction in the second half of the 1800s, primarily thanks to the work of Home Economics theorists such as Catharine Beecher. Her approach was characterized by an efficiency-oriented push, which aimed to save labor and space by reorganizing both. These changes also involved the concept of comfort and the structure of the American middle-class home, thus preparing the ground for many of the changes which became fully consolidated during the 1900s.
