Valerie M. 3.0 out of 5 stars I have a strong mathematical background, but I needed a study guide that would prepare me for the semantics of the actuary exam. The concepts covered in this guide seem fairly complete but, this book is riddled with typos. (Not great for someone who is trying to learn the nuances of the notation.) The most common errors are in the typesetting of fractions and subscripts. I am reading all the notes and working through every example. There are typesetting issues that leave me guessing about the explanations of certain concepts and what the questions are asking. I want to give this book a 2 or 1, because it has all the errors of a free, online guide that has never been reviewed. I give it a 3, because if you are familiar with the mathematical concepts at all, you'll probably be able to decode the typos, and then it seems to be a decent guide.I was able to work all the problems in the book and 3 of the practice exams all in 2 months.http://egymatec.com/userfiles/cummins-kta-2300-g-manual.xml

I felt that the problems in the book were harder than the actual exam and that the practice exam consisted of similar problems that you see on the exam. I passed on the first try and would strongly recommend this prep book in the future.I bought it while considering taking the first exam and have found it to be as comprehensive of a preparation study guide as you could ask for.It is extremely helpful. I would recommend it in a heartbeat. It has a textbook sort of thing in the beginning to review your materials, and then it was a bunch of study practice exams. great great great.I read this book twice and did all the practice exams; the exam was much easier than the problems in this book, and so when I finished my actual exam, I still have 40 mins left (3 hours total), I was able to work through many of the exam problem twice or even three times. In this post, I’ll be comparing the most popular options (after helping hundreds of Exam P candidates) and I’ll help you decide which materials are best for you. These will teach you all the math concepts you need for the exam. In addition, you can get personal, step-by-step guidance on how to prepare for the exam by joining the Study Strategy Program. These range from things like general probability, univariate distributions and multivariate distributions. So, they’ve condensed all those recommended textbook readings into a more manageable package that relates everything specifically to Exam P. Better yet, they come with tons of sample Exam P practice problems that you can use to prepare. That’s something you won’t get by just reading through the recommended textbooks. Hopefully this will give you some insight into which options are best for you. Study manuals are best for people that prefer to read, whereas an online seminar would be best for anyone that prefers to watch video lessons. I like that ACTEX includes a calculus and algebra review at the beginning (but this is available for free in their sample linked above). The choice between the two really just comes down to the style of writing that you prefer. In particular, I love that they include GOAL. GOAL is an online program with over 1200 practice problems for Exam P. You can use it to take practice exams in simulated exam conditions, or to quiz yourself on topics that you’re having difficulty with. This only applies in certain situations, so make sure to read the Pass Guarantee details before purchasing. Personally, I prefer to have a physical copy so that I can write in it (or sell it after my exam is done). But the electronic version is nice for anyone that lives outside the U.S. and doesn’t want to pay the high shipping costs. It gives you hundreds of practice problems, but unlike GOAL, they’re rated by difficulty level so you can gradually work on harder and harder problems as you improve. Also, in my opinion, the ADAPT technology is a bit more advanced than GOAL that is included with ASM and ACTEX. But, going with ASM or ACTEX is the more affordable option. The new versions are the most up-to-date with any syllabus changes and they’ll include GOAL. In my opinion, having GOAL is extremely beneficial and I wouldn’t recommend going without either it or ADAPT. It should be newer than 2015 though, otherwise it’s getting too outdated. Probability Generating Functions were added into the syllabus in 2018 so an older manual may not have any information on that. You can find sample videos from the TIA seminar on their website. That’ll save you some money in the unfortunate situation that it happens. Of course, you should read the conditions on their website for when this Pass Guarantee will apply. So if you’re rusty on your calculus and algebra skills, or if you’ve never seen some of the concepts before, TIA should do a good job of teaching you everything you need to know right from the basics. Shake excess rinsing fluid from cylinder. Do not use a cloth to dry cylinder, as lint from cloth cannot be kept from cylinder bore surfaces.Add fluid up to MAX line. Do not allow brake fluid to get on painted surface. LSPV assembly must not be disassembled. Replace with new one if defective. REMOVAL 1) Clean around reservoir cap and take out fluid with syringe or such. Disassembly will spoil its original function. Remove wheel if necessary. 2) Clean dirt and foreign material from both hose end or pipe end fittings. Remove brake hose and pipe. INSTALLATION 1) Install brake hose and pipe by reversing removal procedure, noting the following points. For installation, make sure that steering wheel is in straightforward position and hose has no twist or kink. Remove brake hose and pipe. Fill and maintain brake fluid level in reservoir. For this purpose, use of such a questionnaire form as shown below will facilitate collecting information to the point required for proper analysis and diagnosis. If the malfunction DTC is confirmed again at ignition switch ON, driving test as described in above is not nec- essary. Refer to SUZUKI scan tool operator's manual for further details. 4) After completing the check, turn ignition switch off and dis- connect SUZUKI scan tool from DLC. Is there Go to step 2. Go to step 3. any DTC (including code No.12, NO CODES on SUZUKI scan tool) exists. Is malfunction DTC (other than code No.12) Go to step 7 of ABS diag- Go to step 3. Go to step 2. Tighten sensor or bracket screw securely. If not, use new screw. 1) Ignition switch OFF. Go to step 3. Replace G sensor. 2) Remove G sensor with bracket. When the power source voltage becomes extremely low, this DTC will be set. INSPECTION Step Action 1) Ignition switch OFF. Substitute a known-good Repair or replace. Then DTC will be set in ABS con- trol module. If any faulty is found, repair or replace. CAUTION: Pull out sensor ring (1) from wheel hub (2) gradually and evenly. Refer to “Rear Axle Shaft and Wheel Bearing” in Section 3E. 2) In order to remove sensor ring (3) from retainer ring (2), grind with a grinder one part of the sensor ring (3) as illus- trated till it becomes thin. CAUTION: Sensor must not be dropped or shocked. It will affect its original performance. Refer to “Air Bag System Components and Wiring Location View” under “General Description” in air bag system section in order to confirm whether you are performing ser- vice on or near the air bag system components or wiring. Accordingly, when any internal engine parts are serviced, care and cleanliness are important. If done so, it may cause adverse effect to catalyst. After making sure that engine is cold, release fuel pressure as fol- lows. Serial data line (K line of ISO 9141) (3) is used for SUZUKI scan tool or generic scan tool to communicate with ECM, TCM, Air Bag SDM and ABS control module. Before using scan tool, read its Operator’s (Instruction) Manual carefully to have good understanding as to what functions are available and how to use it. Step Action Customer Complaint Analysis Go to Step 2. Perform cus- 1) Perform customer complaint analysis referring to the tomer complaint followings. For this purpose, use of such an inspection form will facilitate collecting information to the point required for proper anal- ysis and diagnosis.
