Suited for college teaching of pedagogy. It is well organized. Each topic is well-placed and easy to find. There are detailed descriptions within the chapter on technique and musical sound development that are priceless. There are plenty of examples, tables, lists, etc. I believe I have stumbled upon a resource that won't stay on my shelf too much.I also like the size of the print, not too small as many of these types of books can be.I'm sure I'll be dipping into this for a long time to come.C'e' davvero tutto, affrontato in modo assolutamente schematico - cioe senza fronzoli o prolissita - con una competenza ed una efficacia davvero notevoli. Abby 4.0 out of 5 stars It's pretty informative so far but seems like it will be outpaced by modern discoveries of kids' capability and learning styles. Nice to have on my shelf but wouldn't really recommend this to anyone. I will not be purchasing the other books unless it's required.Well written and thought out pedagogy. I am a classical guitarist but learned much from this book about teaching. She was extremely emotionally abusive. She told me to quit the first two years of lessons with her. She kept telling me to do something else with my life. She gave me the message that I was useless, stupid, incapable of learning, and a worthless human being. She lost her temper a lot with me and other students. Towards the end of my studies with her, she praised me up and down telling me she'd never seen anyone improve as fast as I did and was really proud of me. I had to seek a lot of outside help to get as good as I did. I made it into a German conservatory. What she taught was somewhat useful, but how she taught ruined music for me and ruined my sense of confidence and self-esteem. I went to Germany and later Serbia. I was doing really well. But the damage she had caused was so profound, I quit for about 8 years after I came back to the U.S. When I started playing again a few years ago, I decided to try jazz in an effort to do something completely different in order to reset my mind about music. I noticed that I was having an extreme amount of anxiety and depression around learning new music. I enrolled at the California Jazz Conservatory to push myself.https://skazkina.com/ru/boson-netsim-lab-manual I have such extreme anxiety in depression in classrooms and with private teachers, that I've broken down crying several times. I'm trying my best to conquer this damage. Do not buy her book. It may be a great book, but you'll be supporting someone who crushed several young pianists including myself.? I don't know if I'll ever recover from what she did to me, but I'm going to try.Well worth the purchase An excellent resource. Well worth the purchase. I love the activities at the end of each chapter.A lot of what is learned in the book is more of an overview and does not necessarily cover topics in great detail. In my opinion, the book is extremely helpful for reference, and also for clarifying many topics. It covers most of the issues students of the intermediate level would encounter and I will definitely reference this book.
