It is a great honor to be asked to write the introduction to this book. My meeting with Samyama was one of the most magical moments of my life, the full impact of which I did not realize until much later. Samyama also happened to be at the same spiritual center attending another program that was taking place simultaneously. I was sitting in the dining hall during a lunch break, and I stood up from the table to take my tray into the kitchen. Through the doorway, walked Samyama. Her eyes were filled with Light and loving-kindness. She moved silently as if each footstep were a prayer. As she approached me, she said, “Oh, how precious!” She gave me the biggest, warmest hug I had ever experienced. I immediately fell in love with this sweet, kind woman whom I was meeting for the first time in this lifetime. At that point, I had no idea that she was a Great Teacher. I didn’t even know or ask her name. Her Beingness was enough—her Mere Presence being the embodiment of Pure and Taintless Expanding Unconditional Love. In her Presence, the Lotus Petals of my Heart began to unfold. That one encounter began a powerful transformation within me that is still ongoing today, and I see similar transformations occur with everyone she encounters. Like the poetic spiritual texts of the Olden Times, the words contained in this book were heard by Samyama in her profound state of meditation. Samyama received these sessions on a daily basis from Bhagwan Karttikeya beginning in 1958 while in a deep Yogic trance. In 2007, Samyama was requested to memorialize these Teachings in written form and to bring them to the world to benefit humanity during this unprecedented time of growth and expansion. It is an esoteric spiritual therapy for those who are consciously progressing on a Spiritual Path and are ready for more advanced spiritual unfoldment. Hatha Yoga practitioners have found great benefit from this modality during shavasana (the corpse pose), as it creates the space for deep integration of the Wisdom acquired during asana practice, as well as Evolution on the Higher Planes. A hypnogogic state is the natural state we experience momentarily just before going to sleep when the passive and active minds change roles of dominance. The recipient is led through a spiritually guided visualization and, while in the hypnogogic state, the recipient’s unconscious (subconscious) mind and Soul hears the spiritually empowering language of the sessions even if the recipient is not consciously aware of them. The recipient experiences a deep relaxation ending with the knowledge that they have had great internal shifts in Awareness to Higher Consciousness. The recipient receives whatever Teachings are most beneficial to them in that moment. It aids in their Actualization, Enlightenment, Illumination and attainment of the State of an Ecstatic Being, whichever is most appropriate for the person receiving the session. A session leaves the recipient profoundly touched. They will feel Integrated and Unified with their True Self and with Spirit. Much of the stress in their life will recede into the background, paving the way to a clearer sense of who they are and where they are going, and connecting them to the deeper purpose of their life. To fully appreciate these profound Teachings, its serves one to understand the history, beauty and majesty of the spiritual tradition from which they came —the Taoist Yogi-Christ Lineage International. The Taoist Yogi-Christ Lineage International was founded by Mahavatar Babaji, the Immortal YogiChrist of the Himalayas, and is currently headed by a Holy Hierophant composed of five Presiding Deities. A “Hierophant” is a being who serves as a Holy Vessel for the transmission of Sacred Mysteries and Esoteric Wisdom, bringing Spiritual Aspirants into the Presence of that which is deemed Holy by acting as a Supreme Intercessor for the Divine. The Holy Hierophant of the Taoist Yogi-Christ Lineage International is composed of the Hotei (Lord Maitreya—the Laughing Buddha), Lord Jesus, Bhagwan Karttikeya, Mahavatar Babaji and Lord Shiva, all of whom preside side by side as coworkers for the Evolution of Planet Earth. The Path of the Taoist Yogi-Christ Lineage International is the Path of Gurukripa Upaya, which means “the Path of Guru’s Grace for the Disciple and Disciple’s Grace for the Guru.” The highest expression of this Path is through Seva (Sanskrit for “Devotional Selfless Service”); thus, we are Sevites (a Sevite is one who performs Seva). The Taoist Yogi-Christ Lineage International is a Christian Lineage (a Lineage descending from Lord Jesus), a Shaivite Lineage (a Lineage descending from Lord Shiva) and a Taoist Lineage (a Lineage descending from the Hotei, who is a Master of the Tao and a Zen Master). Some people who first become acquainted with Taoist Yogi-Christ Lineage International may think this unusual. In our experience of working with the nonphysical Hierarchy of Ascended Masters who guide the evolution of Planet Earth, we find that the Ascended Masters all work side by side for a common purpose in complete allowing of and in collaboration with one another. The “family tree” of the Taoist Yogi-Christ Lineage International reflects this truth. Mahavatar Babaji’s Mission is to assist the Holy Hierophant to usher Planet Earth into the Diamond Age of Enlightenment, predicted to start in the year 2160 and to last for an initial trial period of three thousand years. The Diamond Age of Enlightenment is foreseen by the Ascended Masters of East and West to be greater than the greatest Golden Age that ever existed on Planet Earth. The Ascended Masters tell us that during the Diamond Age, Enlightened Awareness will be the baseline of consciousness for the entire human race. If human beings demonstrate that they are ready for Heaven on Earth during the three-thousand-year trial period, the age of Kali Yuga—the Age of Darkness—will be permanently eradicated from the galactic evolutionary cycle and will be replaced by the Diamond Age. The teachings in this book are part of the collective effort of the Taoist Yogi-Christ Lineage International to expand human consciousness into the Diamond Age. Some of the greatest spiritual beings on Planet Earth work quietly and in relative obscurity for our evolution. Mahavatar Babaji is one of those Great Beings. “Mahavatar” means “Great Avatar.” An Avatar is an incarnation of God in physical form, such as Lord Jesus, the Avatar of Sacrificial Love, whom we revere in our Lineage as the physical embodiment of the Christian Trinity. “Babaji” means “Our Beloved Father.” Mahavatar Babaji qualifies as a Mahavatar or “Great Avatar,” as He has supported and continues to support the evolution of other Avatars, such as Lord Jesus. Mahavatar Babaji provided Lord Jesus with spiritual assistance by Overshadowing Him (surrounding Lord Jesus with His etheric body) during the forty days and forty nights when Lord Jesus wandered in the desert. Originally known as Mrytunjaya and later as Lord Markandeya, Mahavatar Babaji manifested His present physical body, which is inhabited by His three-million-year-old soul. Mahavatar Babaji has been living in the same physical body for over ten thousand years. Samyama has chosen to serve the world in relative seclusion and Silence, living a simple and ordinary life of Service with great humility. Samyama was born in the Philippines in 1945. She began her intense spiritual path at the age of four, learning to speak English through her study of the Christian scriptures. On November 22, 1958, Samyama began her life-long relationship with Mahavatar Babaji, who initiated her as His pupil in Etheric Plane Communication (on the subtle planes of consciousness). Under Mahavatar Babaji’s guidance, Samyama ultimately went to the United States where she studied with a Hindu Guru until His Mahasamadhi (conscious, deliberate and intentional final exit from the physical body in the hour of death). KYN is meant, not only as a means to Yogic Sleep, also, as a calming tool for those who have experienced long hours of working, worrying, and continuous concern for others, or hours spent by those whose lives are burnt from the Fires of Charity and Brotherly Love. This book is encoded with the sacred teachings of Ancient and Ageless Wisdom handed down from The Taoist Yogi-Christ Lineage International of Mahavatar Babaji to you. We are also given the gift of a treasury of powerful words and phrases imbued with healing properties and the ability to transform our daily existence to a higher level. Each sentence contains energetic teaching that works deep within our consciousness to raise our spiritual nature. In the Taoist Yogi-Christ teachings of Tantra Yoga, there is a Divine Magick—a Spark of Creation—that occurs as a result of the interplay and union of male and female energies—the Union of Shiva and Shakti. This Cosmic Union between male and female gives birth to all manifest existence. This dynamic is present in every aspect of life: sperm and ovum; proton and electron; light and dark. As you explore these sessions, you will notice that God is described in various places using anthropomorphic terms, sometimes being referred to as “He” or “Him” (as the Masculine Creative Principle) and at other times being referred to as “She” or “Her” (as the Feminine Creative Principle). In Bhakti Yoga, the Path of Love and Devotion, the Devotee, after completely merging into Oneness, disengages—stepping back to maintain psychic distance between the Devotee and the One Beloved. In doing so, the Devotee creates a space of “two-ness” in order to have an object of worship and adoration. In the Initiations, the Divine Feminine, as the Devotee, onepointly focuses on the Masculine Creative Principle as the Absolute, the Light, the Truth and the Way, as someone to Worship and Adore, as He places Her on a Pedestal adoring Her as His Muse. He, as the Poet, worships the dust off Her Feet, with Her being the most splendid Power in the entire Universe and the embodiment of Unconditional Love Itself. Unlike the traditional notion of poet and muse in which the poet lives in unrequited love for the muse, in Bhakti Yoga, the Poet (capital P) and Muse (capital M) are Lover and Beloved, Beloved and Lover, having a mutual loving relationship. The Taoist Yogi-Christ Lineage International acknowledges the experience of God to be personal, direct and subjective. This manual frequently contains references to the Supreme Being in masculine form because that is the author’s personal experience. We invite readers and practitioners to bring their own experience of God into this work. Practitioners will notice that unconventional capitalization is used throughout the text to denote the special mystical nature of words used to express ineffable spiritual truths. In the author’s experience, the highest mystical Truths cannot be communicated in words, and the use of capital letters is an approximation of the Supreme Truth. Bible verses are given throughout the text with references at the end of every session for deeper contemplation and meditation. The Taoist YogiChrist Lineage uses the King James Version for its rich poetry, dignity, and resonance, and because it is widely accepted by the ecclesiastical community. CORE TEACHINGS OF THE SESSIONS Below are brief descriptions of the core teachings contained in each session inside this book. The Secret Garden One and Two To realize and embody the Teaching “Do not hurt the human heart, for that is where God dwells.” The Secret Garden Two offers a deeper experience of this Teaching. Practitioner Information Requirements: None. Karma Cleansing One and Two To purify the blood and to balance the Yin and Yang of the recipient’s karma. According to the Mystical Philosophy of the Taoist Yogi-Christ Lineage International, blood is Consciousness and karma is energetically embedded in the blood. Karma Cleansing Two offers an advanced session. Higher Self—Temporary Soul To experience an Interlude between the Higher Self and the Temporary Soul. It is important for the Higher Self to be in Total Relationship with the Temporary Soul so that the Temporary Soul may become an Immortal Soul when the Soul returns to the Source after leaving the Physical Body. Practitioner Information Requirements: Age of recipient needed. Deep Sleep To provide the recipient with the benefit of at least eight hours of deep, uninterrupted sleep in the span of one session. Balancing the Yin and Yang To provide an opportunity for the masculine and feminine aspects of the recipient (the assertive and tender aspects of a person’s Beingness) to be in Total Equipoise and Equilibrium so that the recipient remains neutral and therefore ripe enough to make choices for him or herself. Practitioner Information Requirements: A deck of affirmation cards is required. Choose any deck that resonates with you as practitioner and is appropriate for the participant. Kama Sutra White Light Tantra To experience one illustration of the Teaching, “Illusion and Reality are one and the same.” The Path of Tantra Yoga is the braiding of Bhakti Yoga (the Path of Love and Devotion) with Mantra Yoga (the Transformative Power of the Spoken Word). Tantra Yoga brings the recipient’s Enlightenment into the world so that Yoga (Union of Body and Soul) and Bhoga (pleasure) are one and the same. Practitioner Information Requirement: This session is only for a couple in a committed sexual relationship. Before the session, the practitioner discerns each partner’s role within the larger society, such as householder, spouse or parent. Practitioner also discerns which partner expresses more tenderness (Yin) and which partner expresses more assertiveness (Yang). Astral Projection for an Individual To give the recipient’s Astral Body (a combination of the recipient’s emotional body and mental body) the chance to have a vacation in the Milky Way and merge with the Source. Practitioner Information Requirement: None. Astral Projection for a Couple To give the couple’s Astral Bodies (a combination of the couple’s emotional bodies and mental bodies) the chance to have a vacation in the Milky Way and merge with Source together. Practitioner Information Requirement: For any couple. There is no requirement that the couple be in a committed relationship. HOW TO GIVE THESE SESSIONS Note: Please see glossary (pages 109-117) for definitions and pronunciations of unfamiliar words. Practitioners are requested to read this manual cover to cover and familiarize themselves with each session and the protocols and guidelines before giving these sessions. Practitioners are requested to give these sessions in a quiet place where the practitioner and recipient will be undisturbed for the duration of the session. After reviewing the Table of Contents and conducting a personal interview with the recipient that discusses the recipient’s avenues for growth, the practitioner intuitively chooses a session to give to the recipient. The practitioner sits before the recipient and performs Puja by waving a stick of incense clockwise in front of the recipient seven times while silently repeating the Mantra “OM NAMAH SHIVAYA SHIVAYA SHIVA” and asking the recipient to inhale the fragrance so as to clean and clear the recipient’s auric field. Puja is an act of ritual worship in which the practitioner honors the Living God dwelling within the physical heart of the recipient. The practitioner asks the recipient to lie down, close his or her eyes, and to remain as still as possible for the duration of the session. The practitioner asks to be used as a channel of Light, Love and Healing by silently saying “USE ME, USE ME, USE ME, USE ME.” The practitioner reads the chosen session while remaining connected to his or her heart. Sessions are designed to last approximately 45 minutes to one hour. The practitioner should pace the session accordingly. At the end of the session, the practitioner allows the recipient to slowly and gently return to ordinary awareness. If the recipient is experiencing deep relaxation, the practitioner may want to gently call the recipient’s name and have them wiggle their toes and fingers to come back into their body. Following the session, the practitioner allows the recipient sufficient time to become grounded and integrated before driving or undertaking other activities. THE SECRET GARDEN ONE Realize and embody the Teaching “Do not hurt the human heart, for that is where God dwells.” The Secret Garden One Yantra Aspects Yantra: Mercury in the Vedic Square Planetary Characteristics: The aspects of Mercury are intellect, speech, poise and self-confidence. Mercury rules education, writers and teachers. Vedic Indian Numerology: 5 Color: Green Gemstone: Emerald Metal: Gold Day: Wednesday Mantra: AUM BUM BUDHAYE NAMAH AUM The Secret Garden One Session Close your eyes. When your eyes are closed, you will notice that it is very easy to relax. Now I invite you to take a deep breath through your nose. Hold it to the count of seven, exhale through the mouth, releasing, relaxing. As you exhale, feel your body’s content releasing, relaxing, letting go. Inhale through the nose, hold it to the count of seven, exhale through the mouth, releasing, relaxing. One last time, inhale through the nose, hold it to the count of seven, and exhale through the mouth. You are now released and relaxed. Now I would like you to breathe normally, watching your every inhalation and exhalation. In the olden times, the yogis said that life is measured by every breath we take. Since the Maha Kumbha Mela in 2001, they have been saying something in addition. They have been saying that life is measured by those moments that take our breath away. So consider this moment as one of those moments that takes your breath away.1 Now I would like you to focus on your physical heart. As you focus on your physical heart, right at the center, see a bright blue Flame as big as your right thumb. Watch that Wickless Flame that is Heatless and Smokeless and Windless. Allow the Flame to fill your heart with wonder and magick. What a Magickal Flame. This Flame is called the Light of the Self that is Ever-New. It is also called Spirit or God2 — the God of your heart. And what I would like you to do right now is start creating a Puja (an Altar) around this Flame. What pictures of deities could you put there. Include pictures or statues of gods, goddesses or Divine Beings whom you worship and adore. Continue to add more pictures of your choosing. Feel free to arrange this Secret Garden of your Heart, this Secret Puja, in a way that is pleasing to you. This Secret Place is where you seek refuge3 when you come to meditate and contemplate the issues of your life and your relationships. It is a place where you can be alone, for no one can come here except you. This place is your own private garden. Be sure to light some incense and do Arati, the waving of the Lights; do Puja to the Flame and know that when you do so, you are actually bowing and doing Puja to your own Inner Self, your Inner Light that is Ever-New, to God, the Beginningless One, 4 the One God Without a Second, the One Beloved, the Eternal Bridegroom, the Only Man in Town. Do Arati, the Waving of the Lights, with a beautiful silver tray on which you have placed a crystal bowl with water and a floating flower. The color of the flower is hot pink representing passionate Love for God. On the tray frankincense, myrrh and incense are burning. And, after waving the Lights to the Clear Light of the Beginning, you place the silver tray right in front of that Flame of your own True Self so that Spirit can smell the fragrance of the incense. It is the offering of your own Heart and Soul. And you kneel down and reverently bow, and then sit cross-legged in a half lotus or a full lotus posture, whichever is more comfortable for you. And you start staring at the Flame in Trataka Yoga, the Yogic Art of Gazing. You look at the Light and allow it to hypnotize and mesmerize you. You look at the auric field of this bright blue Light. It is beautiful beyond sight. You can see the three different levels of auric fields and dimensions. Now I would like you to hold your hand above this Flame, about four inches above, and now you experience dimension four of the auric field. When you feel some kind of warmth that gives life to your palm, it is actually giving life to the left ventricle of your heart, which is the home of the Akashic Record.
