Stay away from your target car or it could take bullet damage and blow up. When the coast is clear lockpick the vehicle and drive it back to Mike’s. He likes what he sees and gives you your money. Follow you back into his building and up the stairs inside. Head back to Joe’s on the third floor. Once back in the apartment head for the kitchen and open the fridge for some food to replenish your health. Use the sofa in the kitchen to get some sleep and end the level. It’s your mama and she wants you to go to the docks to get work. Grab your clothes from the wardrobe behind you then run out the door. Run out the back entrance to the place and get your car. Once you get there head up the stairs on the building and you’ll meet Mr. Derek Popolata. He gives you a job so follow Steve to the warehouse. Before you go down the stairs grab Playboy Magazine: Playmate 18 on the ground near the doorway. Head to the center of the warehouse where you can load crates onto a truck. After you load the first crate the warehouse door opens up. Head out the door to quit, but Steve has something else for you. Now all you have to do is collect fees. Head back downstairs into the warehouse and start talking to the workers to get your 10 dollars. You might have to be rough if they don’t want to pay. After the third guy pays up you meet a real troublemaker. You will have to put him down to get the rest of the money you need. Be sure to dodge his fists before attacking with your own. When he gets woozy go close for extra attacks. You get your money and a bonus. Run and outside to your car and set the waypoint to Freddy’s to meet Joe. Head back to your car and drive to Maria’s place. After you head into the building find a Playboy Magazine: Playmate 4 behind the door. Next, knock on the first door on the left to find Maria. Pull up to the front of the hospital so she can exit the vehicle. Drive just across the street to get to the Office of Price Administration. Get out of your car and run to the end of the alley. Hop over the fence on the left side of the alley. Follow the alley to the left and crawl through the bathroom window you find open on the back wall. Keep moving until you find some large brown doors to enter. Enter the next hallway until you see a large room on the left side. A guard sits at the desk in the center of the room. Make sure no guards are looking from the balconies above then quietly head for the desk. Grab a Playboy Magazine: Playmate 40 from the desk while the guard isn’t looking. Head through some large brown doors and follow the hallway until you see a blue door. Head on through and follow the metal stairs to a door below. Move into the next room and make a left and enter the second door you find along the left wall. Disable the alarm system on the wall. Inside are a few bookshelves. Move in between the first two to find Playboy Magazine: Playmate 6. Backtrack to the large room with the guard desk and sneak up behind the guard to silently take him out. There are two other guards in the building that you need silently take out as you make your way around the area. Head up a narrow staircase you find there. When you get to the second floor head across the hall and enter the director’s office on the right. Grab the keys off the desk then exit the room. Head into the office across the hall. Make a right after you enter and grab Playboy Magazine: Playmate 5 on the shelf. Make another right when the hallway ends and then your first left. Enter the last door on the left. Inside is a cage door you have to lock pick to get inside. Once you get in open the safe to the right and grab what you came for. Follow the alley back to your car jumping the fence when you get to it. Time to go to Freddy’s Bar. Park out front and head inside and up the stairs. You’ll have to quickly take them to gas stations around the city before midnight. Use your map and put a waypoint on the closest gas station. Put the pedal to the metal and pull up in between the station and the pumps where you can sell the stamps. Quickly select the next closest station and once the sale is complete head on your way. Then you can drive your way over to Joe’s place. Head up to his apartment and take a snooze on the bed in the kitchen to end the level. Run outside and get your car you can use to drive to Freddy’s Bar to meet Joe. You get another job to do, this time to rob a jewelry store. Pull up out front and run to the front door. When the coast is clear use your lockpick to get inside. Be quick or the cops will spot you. Once inside a car crashes through the window to try to rob the place as well. When he tells you too take cover behind a counter as those other thugs try to blast you while he tries to unlock the next door. After the door is open follow Joe up a short set of stairs and grab Playboy Magazine: Playmate 9 to the right. Before you go up them move toward some doors and look under them to find Playboy Magazine: Playmate 2. Now follow Joe up the stairs all the way to the very top. The door is locked so you’ll have to cover him while he tries to get it open. Use the stairs Joe is on as cover. Once the door is open follow him on to the roof. Use the cover of the roof to drop them quickly. After you drop three police Joe will cross an icy walkway to the next roof so follow him. More cops are waiting on a nearby rooftop so get some cover behind the ledge. One of the cops has a shotgun so watch out. When they shoot at Joe you can pop out and blast them until all three are dead. There you get into another firefight with cops. Drop all three on the nearby roof then follow Joe into the building. Follow the room to the left and grab the Playboy Magazine: Playmate 8 on the floor to the left of the shelves. Follow Joe through the room and back out onto the roof. Head down the fire escape to get down to the street below. Meet up with him back at his place. Head down the alley to the street. The cops are looking for you to the left so run right. Head for the nearest clothing store to change your appearance so the cops won’t catch you. If they spot you before you get there you’ll have to steal a car and lose them. Before going back to his apartment follow the stairs down until you find a Playboy Magazine: Playmate 7 on the floor next to the gate. Now head back to Joe’s and sleep on your bed to end the level. You see Joe’s girl get in a minor car accident. Run over and teach the guy a lesson. Dodge first then nail him with a series of light attacks. She is very appreciative and wants you to go to her place, but you need to go. Hop in your car and head to Freddy’s. They have another job for you and it’s big. First you need to get a machine gun. Head back to your car and use the map to find Harry’s shop. After you get close, park on the street and run down the alley with the sign that says Army Navy. Ring the buzzer and someone inside will let you in. Head down the stairs and follow the hallway to the gun room. Once you get your weapon in a crate head back outside. Shoot the vehicles causing them to explode killing anyone nearby then finish off anyone else shooting at you. First, go all the way up the stairs to the top to find Playboy Magazine: Playmate 11. Then, head back to the stairs and go all the way down to the street. Take out anyone still alive then head to the building across the street and to the right. Look for weapons on the ground to refill your ammo as you go. Take out the two fools shooting at you from farther down the room. Follow your friends into the building using crates and pillars as cover. Stay toward the right of the building because an explosion will hit the left side. Eventually you find some stairs heading up on the right side of the room. Before you go up move into the office across from the stairs and grab a Playboy Magazine: Playmate 10 from on the shelf near the lockers on the right side of the room. Get down behind some tables to use as cover and take them out. Keep moving through the room taking out anybody that gets in your way. At the back of the room is an elevator you can follow your buddies into and ride up. The door behind them opens up and more enemies try to take you out. Stay behind the cover and blast anyone who shows their face. When your friends move forward into the next room follow them picking up any new weapons you might need. Use the side of the door as cover and mow the goon down at the top of the stairs. Head up to the top then duck behind the metal siding at the top of the stairs. A guy with a machine gun tries to mow you down. Wait for him to stop firing them peak out from cover and aim your gun in his direction. When he pops his head back out blast him and grab his gun. Henry takes him out but gets hit in the process. You need to get him some help. As Joe carries him out head to the right of the room across from the now dead fat man and you find Playboy Magazine: Playmate 12. As you get closer to the bottom level you feel an explosion and fire erupts from below. Some goons emerge from a doorway to the right of some large distillery barrels for you to quickly gun down. Continue on when the coast is clear. From the stairs you’ll have to run down the center of the room. At the end you will find the exit door on the left. Head outside to your car and safety. Check your map for a repair shop nearby and fix up your car and change the plates. This will keep the police off your tail. Be sure to keep your speed in check on the city streets but cut loose when you cross the bridge. You should get Henry to the doc before he dies. Time to repay your debts. Jump in the car and head for your sister on the map. Jump out of your car on the city street and run for the building on your map. Head inside and up to the second floor where you can ring the bell on the second door. You give your sister the money she needs. Now go steal a car and head back to Joe’s. Sleep on his couch to end the level. The thing is, Mafia II isn't that hard on its hardest difficulty setting, meaning that it can be insultingly easy on the more mild settings. Take our advice and play through Mafia II on your first playthrough at the hardest difficulty setting available. This means that enemies take more damage and you take less, but there are upsides as well. Not only will you earn a couple of great Trophies or Achievements when you finally get through the whole game, but it will make Mafia II a meatier and more difficult experience. The game can easily be beaten in well under ten hours, so why not add a little playtime, difficulty and length to your adventure?You'll often find yourself equipped with only a pistol or another weak weapon, and you'll need to do something about it. While it's true that you could pretty easily get through the entire game with only pistols, you can make your life a lot easier by attempting to stay strapped. Doing so doesn't always require you to visit an illicit weapon shop, either (though you could easily do that, too). Simply being aware of the weaponry your various enemies are using will do you just fine. Once you clobber an enemy with, say, a shotgun or tommy-gun in hand, why not cop it for your own. These are important things to consider as you move through Mafia II. And better yet, you can carry many weapons at once, so you're rarely-if-ever constrained by weapons already in your arsenal. Well.Mafia II allows gamers to store a limited number of automobiles in various garages strewn throughout Empire Bay. These garages should be utilized for multiple reasons. Not only does storing a car make it available on the fly later, but it also allows you to store cars that are great for very specific situations. For instance, you may want a couple of fast, light cars for getaways and the like, while bulkier cruisers will help you withstand mobile gun battles. Keep in mind that cars can be repaired and upgraded at your garages, as well, so no car's condition or statistics are ever static. Hang on to these cars, and they will no doubt end up serving you well.Mafia II, like many movies, television shows, books and games in the crime genre, revolve around a well-told story. It's true that Mafia II is already a pretty short experience compared to some of its contemporaries even when you watch all of the game's cutscenes. Thus, by skipping cutscenes, you'll end up making a brief experience even briefer. But beyond that, you'll cut the soul out of Mafia II. Pay attention to the cutscenes. Enjoy the awesome voice-acting and the interesting characters. And get a feel for why you're doing all of the things you're doing in the game in the first place.
