See Figure 1 for information on which holes to install grab strap through for your seat (use the hole shown dark in the illustration). Install new grab strap onto motorcycle at same location old grab strap was removed (re-use existing hardware). Tighten to 60-90 in-lbs (6.78-10.17 Nm). 4. Position new seat on motorcycle. Be sure tongue on front of seat fully engages into the seat mounting slot between the gas tank bracket and frame. 5. Secure seat with stock screw. After installing seat, pull upward on seat to be sure it is locked in position. Save the mounting screw for installation of the new seat. 2. See Figure 2. Remove the plastic cap from the rear most fender hole (3). 3. Remove the seat retention nut and washer from the solo seat mounting hole Repeat until all hardware is transferred. In some instances we have already installed bumpers that are needed, but some models require the special specific bumpers from your original seat for proper tolerance and fit. The stock bumpers are easily removed by twisting and pulling at the same time. Reinstallation requires drilling a hole of the same diameter as the original into the new seat pan. Rubber bumpers are most easily installed using either water or silicone spray as a lubricant. Check to make sure the seat fits properly. The new seat will be more firm than the original seat and will break-in over time to provide greater comfort. During the break-in, the seat will also settle-in, or lower, about.Retain all hardware. Discard seat strap. 2. Remove existing seat from motorcycle by removing Phillips head screw with lockwasher, and nylon washer from rear fender mounting bracket. Retain all hardware except discard nylon washer. 3. Disengage seat from frame tab at front of seat. 4. Do not remove the plastic retention washer unless the captive nut is damaged and must be replaced. The plastic retention washer also prevents seat bracket from contacting paint on fender. Therefore, no nylon washer is required between bracket and fender on 1997-1999 models. 5. On pre- 1997 models, secure seat onto rear fender with original screw and lockwasher and place guide washer (1) between seat bracket and rear fender. 5a. NOTE When a solo seat is installed without a passenger seat, the passenger footpegs or footboards and the passenger grabstrap must be removed. For 1996 models: 1. Slide seat into position until front seat tab engages frame, then place original nylon washer under hole in rear seat mounting bracket and secure bracket to fender with screw (6). NOTE For 1997 models, a retention nut and washer must be installed into the fender hole, covered with a plastic cap, where the rear seat bracket will be attached. A cable strap is included to aid in this installation. For 1997 models: 1. Remove plastic cap from hole in fender where the rear seat bracket will be attached. 2. Place retention nut (3) over cable strap (2) so wide end of nut rests on eye of cable strap. Thread cable strap up under fender and through fender hole. As shown in the inset, a cable strap (6) can be used as an installation aid. Place the retention nut (5) over the cable strap so that the wide end of the nut rests on the eye of the cable strap. Thread the cable strap up under the fender, and through the fender hole. They can build ’em, polish ’em or tweak ’em for you... for a custom made performance bike like no other. Makes you want to go all patriotic and Bruce Springfield doesn’t it. There’s a great selection of scooters, mopeds, motorcycles and trikes. Go on, you can have fun and save a little gas at the same time. It’s their hundredth anniversary this year but don’t think they’re past it, these old Italian motorcycles have certainly managed to keep up with the times. It’s all down to the Mediterranean diet of olive oil and tomatoes you know (the designers, not the motorcycles, they still run on gas). Get your motor running. Anyway, if you fancy tearing up the highway on a Hooligan get yourself down to BMC. Italians really know how to do it on two wheels or four, in fact, nobody really does style like the Italians. They make them Big, Medium and Wee (that’s Scottish for small), well small-ish anyway. Prepare to be left speechless by their amazing creativity.contactlens88.com/imagedepot/upbank/files/California-manual-wastewater.pdf A motorcycle is a thing of beauty, especially if it’s been anywhere near Bourget’s Bike Works. Don’t despair if you’ve got one though, Harley Davidson are committed to supplying replacement parts for the next 7 years so you can still have fun on your Buell for the time being at least. It seems we just can’t get enough of that Italian style whether it’s two wheels, four wheels, handbags or shoes. Is it a car? Who knows, but they look pretty awesome from where I’m standing. Yes, they make trailers and sidecars for their trikes, who said the open road was a lonely place to be, you can have your mate right along side you, traveling in style. They manufacture motorcycles, trikes, scooters and ATV’s, and export them all over the world. They’re pretty sure that their trikes are safe, fun, and easy to steer with sharp cornering, and if you don’t believe me just pop along for a test drive. They’ve nabbed 45 national titles since 1993, why not see if you can help them to bag a few more. To connect with Motor manuals Yamaha, join Facebook today. I rode it with the choke open after a tune up and it started to backfire.I believe you have a problem with your charging system. With a weak spark, the bike will backfire. The engine is unable to burn all of the fuel efficiently and the unburnt fuel is released into the exhaust as black smoke. Once your spark plugs have been fouled by unburnt gasoline they need to be replaced. Don’t bother trying to clean them, even if they are only a day old. You may find that your battery will not accept the charge. In this case you may have a bad cell in the battery or it has just reached the end of its life. Replace the battery and continue. The bike is pulling more voltage out of the battery than the Bourget charging system is generating. It may be that your battery is weak and not holding the charge. What distinguishes this Bourget from most other bikes is its beautiful paint job, which is in excellent condition. A matching helmet is included. The front wheel has some flaking which is shown in a picture. It has about 50 per cent of its tire life left. This bike has been very well maintained by an older gentleman. The bike is in near perfect condition and only has 5004 miles on it. Has the Diamond cut jugs for looks and also helps with cooling. Bike has air ride suspension as well. The paint is all airbrushed and turns heads everywhere. Truly need to see this bike to appreciate it. Looking for a quick sale but maybe open to trades. Feel free to ask me any additional questions you may have.Few scratches on forks. Some blemishes in paint. Kick stand was replaced. This bike would look great with new paint job. Needs new left blinker. There doesn't appear to be any damage to the forks of the frame. NY SALVAGE CERT OF TITLE We would consider old trucks or something interesting as a trade. Email or call with questions. Comes with New York salvage certificate title. We can help with shipping, have trucks running all over weekly Engine is a 2013 with aprox. 500 miles but bike itself has 16000. I don't have too many details but you need to see to appreciate. Bike has nice custom paint but could use a little TLC.It has 5935 original miles on it. We also have all factory manuals and literature. The Paint is in awesome condition as is the powder coated frame. Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.
