Discoveries of other minerals such as bauxite and silver have boosted revenues from the mining sector.https://www.costaverde.it/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1629d0a66192ee---craftsman-lt1000-riding-lawn-mower-manual.pdf Following a three-month suspension of artisanal and small scale mining activities in 2017 aimed at restructuring the sector and capturing revenues, a rtisanal mining has been on the increase. The Malian govenment is also committed to developing the fledgling hydrocarbon sector, whose activities had been stalled due to the conflict in Northern Mali since 2012. Social conflicts have centred on environmental impacts of mining, distribution of revenues and informal mining. Recent EITI Reports have provided more information of relevance to local communities, such as artisanal and small-scale mining and payments by mining contractors. The tax office’s Office of Large Companies is the main body responsible for collecting and managing taxes paid to the central government. The National Geology and Mines Office and the National Lands and Survey Office levy sector-specific fees. Four Mining Codes (1970, 1991, 1997, 2012) are used concurrently in Mali. An online repository from the Ministry of mines is available and accessible here. AUREP (Authority for the Promotion of Petroleum Research), attached to the Ministry of Mines, focuses on four technical areas: The OGAS (Oil and Gas Administration System) has been put in place to monitor licence awards. Mali does not currently have a disclosure policy on capital structure and beneficial ownership. Referring to the above definition, the multi-stakeholder group retained a specific form that was submitted to extractive companies to collect this information. One company provided complete beneficial ownership information. The report recommends the creation of a public beneficial ownership register. When Mali began production of mineral resources, some countries producing the same resources suffered severe crises due to poor management of such resources. Mali quickly took account of these experiences and has sought to avoid falling in this trap. To achieve this we need transparency in our management of the sector.frankfurtpools.com/contents//files/bt3030-user-manual.pdf HE Boubou Cisse, Minister of Economy and Finance Gold is mostly mined in the Southwest of the country, in the Mandigue Plateau. Artisanal mining, which accounts for about ten percent of production has picked up in the last two years. Iron is found in the west near the Senegal and Guinea borders; Bauxite deposits are located near Kayes and on the Mandingue Plateau. Recent discoveries have tripled the country’s bauxite reserves. Manganese, Phosphate,Lithium and Uranium can be found around Ansongo,Kayes, Bougouni and Iforas respectively. Kaolin, limestone, tungsten, tin, lead, copper, and zinc exist in small amounts. Oil and gas exploration, which slowed down in 2012, has recommenced, given Mali's proven reserves of oil shale. Mineral deposits are primarily located around Kayes, Ansongo, Bafoulame, Hombori, Tilemsi and western Mali. Precious stones in Mali include Garnets, rare magnetic minerals, pegmatite, corindons, metamorphosing minerals, quartz and carbonates. The vast majority of these revenues came from gold mining. Revenues were mainly collected through company taxation (25) customs duties (14), special tax on certain goods (13). All other revenues flow to central government, with little fiscal devolution. The 2016 Report includes for the first time a reconciliation of subnational transfers to the main mining regions, as well as contextual information on the new local content legislation. The new mining cadastre was launched in January 2016, with registration free of charge. Mali is exploring ways of decentralising the EITI, in communications, outreach and data collection. Three structures oversee EITI implementation: the Supervisory Committee defines the main strategies and lines of action and meets once a year; the multi-stakeholder group, chaired by Lelenta Hawa Baba Bah, Minister of Mines; and the Permanent Secretariat ensures day-to-day implementation of the EITI workplan. Mali's second Validation against the 2016 Standard commenced on 28 February 2019.https://discarga.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1629d0a75199b4---Craftsman-lt1000-riding-lawn-mower-owner-s-manual.pdf In the second Validation, the EITI International Secretariat has assessed the progress made in addressing the ten corrective actions established by the EITI Board following the first Validation. On 17 June 2019, the Board decided that Mali made meaningful progress with considerable improvements. See the scorecard with descriptions of each requirement below. Study period and population forecast The population figures for Al-Hay District are based on the 2014 population data obtained from the Central Organization of Statistics and Information Technology of the Ministry of Planning and Development. The planning timeframe used in this study is 22 years, through the year 2040. A growth rate of 3.0 per year has been adopted in accordance with the MMPW standard for water and wastewater facilities planning. Based on the above growth rate, an increase in Al-Hay population based on Table 2 down below over the time period of planning. Consequently, the population of Al-Hay District is projected to increase over the next 22 years. The phase I means the populations in which started from 2018 to 22 years later which is should be at 2030. That means the WWTP starts working in 2018 to 2030 with this quality and parameters. The phase II means the design for WWTP will be started from 2030 to 2040, so the plant will be worked with these parameters and the estimated populations are calculated based on the year that starts with. Indeed, the project of the WWTP is designed to work for 22 years starting from the year with is 2018 to 2030 and the second part to the project to still be working is started from 2030 to 2040. Over the time period of planning in which started with 2014 the population is provided correspond- ing to phase I, which is 2018 going up to phase II which is 2040. Table 2 showed the increasing in the population over the time period of planning in the design. 4.4. Projected wastewater generation The projected wastewater generation is determined based on the population and level of service. The per capita wastewater generation rate is presented in Table 3 shown below for Al-Hay. In Table 3, it displays the projected wastewater generation in which starts with the population of Figure 2. Wastewater mains should be designed to carry the projected peak flows that could reach as high as five times the average daily flows, depending on the population served by the wastewater mains. For purposes of this project, peak factors are based on the Babbitt—Herman formula and have been summarized. Jasim, Cogent Engineering (2020), 00: 1723782 Page 9 of 32 Only the first two can meet the established effluent discharge criteria to River Tigris.Waste Stabilization Ponds have the lowest capital and operational costs that can treat the domestic wastewater to the level that complies with the WHO and FAO guidelines for effluent reuse. Because this process is unable to meet the standards, so the extended aeration processes will be adopted for this purpose. Extended Aeration can satisfy the selection criteria requirements for effluent disposal to surface water courses as it has the highest BOD, TSS and Nitrogen removal efficiency and meets the National Iraqi Standards for Wastewater Discharge to surface water courses, in addition to its ability to reduce phosphates considerably with minor upgrading. ? In the Figure 3, it displays a flow chart of conventional treatment plant. Additionally, the effluent standards for the category—Discharge to Streams, were selected from Iraqi National Standards, Table 1 in (Appendix A) is referred to in Act 25 published in the year 1967 from Iraqi Authorities to regulate the Treated Domestic Wastewater be applied to this project. These standards are to be used to determine the performance requirements of the wastewater treatment plants proposed for the Al-Hay City.
