ford ka 2001 manual spark plugsBut electrical RV slide-out systems can, and do, fail. The time to learn to troubleshoot a slide-out problem is not in a campground with a fully extended slide-out. Take the time to learn how to manually open the electric slide-out on your travel trailer. Items you will need Screwdriver Crank handle Step 1 Park the trailer in an area clear of obstructions. Make sure the trailer is level before operating the slide-out. Step 2 Check the battery and verify it is fully charged and connected to the electrical system. If the slide does not extend or retract, use the manual override to extend or retract the slide-out. Step 3 Find the slide-out motor. The motor is located beneath the slide-out room. Refer to the owner’s manual for the exact location. Step 4 Remove the brake assembly from the motor. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws that connect the brake assembly to the motor. Don’t lose the screws. Set the brake assembly aside. Step 5 Find the crank extension. The crank extension is located either on the outside or the inside of the frame. Step 6 Attach the crank handle to the crank extension. The crank handle comes with the trailer. If the crank handle is not available, use a wrench or socket and ratchet to turn the crank extension by hand to extend or retract the slide-out. Step 7 Reattach the brake assembly to the slide-out motor. Replace the screws and securely tighten each one with the screwdriver. The brake assembly prevents the slide-out from moving. Have the travel trailer serviced at a certified service center. Warnings Disconnect the battery from the electrical system before manually extending or retracting the slide-out. Do not overextend or retract the slide-out. This can damage the slide-out mechanism. Wear heavy gloves when manually working the the slide-out to avoid injury. Writer Bio R. Compared to the past, RVs epitomize freedom and travel by providing everything to make the journey as comfortable and carefree as possible. Today’s RVs hit the road with semi to fully automated features unlike the ones with small cabins built onto the back of regular vehicles. Now, with a press of a switch, the traveler can raise and lower tables, power the wheelchair wheels, adjust the satellite dish, and create retractable rear panels, among several others. These automated features are exciting, which contribute to the huge popularity of RV vehicles. RV Slide-Out Actuators; the Backbone of RV’s Automation So, when we say automation, we cannot ignore the role of linear actuators as they make this automation possible in RVs. RV slide-out actuators, which are basically the electric actuators programmable to create linear motion, make your RVs more functional with minimum efforts. Available in several force, load capabilities and other specifications, slide out systems are largely used in several RV applications that require motion control. A Few Application Examples Let’s see a few more applications of electric linear actuators in RVs. Although today’s RV slide-out actuators offer more power than earlier versions, they are susceptible to motor failure, misalignment, and leaks. The failure of the actuator systems directly impact the functioning of the automated units, causing troubles to the traveler. Hence, it is advisable for the RV owner to have a basic knowledge when it comes to the regular maintenance and troubleshooting of slide out actuators.http://hamayeshniroo.com/camera-manual-mode-tips.xml In other cases, when the actuator gets stuck and experiences problems in extending or retracting due to a blown fuse, bad wiring, or weak battery, the owner must instantly rectify the issue by performing the right troubleshooting steps. Thus, the user in the vehicle must keep an eye on the functioning of automated systems by checking for unusual noise and erratic movement on a regular basis. The manufacturers must have listed everything in the user manual that lead to offering optimum performance even when they are put to operation in the toughest industrial applications. Moreover, for RV vehicle manufacturers, it is always important to procure the motion control systems from the leading names, who implement stringent quality control measures during the actuator production. Venture Manufacturing, Co.The company also offers a range of other products specifically for RVs including fifth wheel landing gear and RV slide out gears. Powered by Wordpress. This adds to their cost effectiveness as well as operational excellence. The design allows for ease of assembly, maintenance, and disassembly. We offer the actuators in five different strokes. Faucets need to be open and then closed when liquid appears. Pump will stop when full pressure is achieved. 3. Should you wish to sanitize the tank, open V3 allowing water to flow into tank and pressure will be released. Prior to using your toilet, be sure to add a proper amount of deodorant chemical into the toilet with water. Flush contents into tank plus two or three gallons of water. The toilet system performs better when you run water 10 to 20 seconds after flushing to ensure wastes will proceed to the bottom of the tank. Each time you drain the tank, you should follow instructions listed, before using. Be sure termination valves are open on tanks. 2. Open valve to release water into tank for rinsing and cleaning of your waste water holding tank. 3. Rinse for several minutes to remove any foreign matter from tank and probes. Leave these open during this procedure. 2. Start pump and operate until all water has been removed, takes about 20 to 30 seconds 3. Valves with handles in vertical position will take water heater out of system. By-Pass Kit consists of water line, 2 valves and clamps to control where water will flow. Each of these components will be explained in its appropriate area. Propane is the only fuel permitted to be used in a recreational vehicle and its appliances. Should your container become slightly overfilled, pressure may rise due to hot sun. It could cause the overflow valve to “blow off” and emit a small quantity of propane vapor. Mounting and attaching instructions are listed below: 1. Thread the long rod into the base plate. 2. Set both bottles into place as shown. With both cylinders full of propane, turn the lever on the regulator towards the cylinder you wish to use first. The swivel brass nut on the main hose will be your final attachment. There are several things to remember each time the container is removed: 1. When traveling with your RV, normal vibrations and road movement may cause connections to loosen and develop leaks. For normal maintenance we advise all owners to test for leakage at least once per year or more often. Due to smaller area in your RV, there is less oxygen than in your home. Proper ventilation is required when cooking. Each gallon of propane produces about 91,500 BTUs of heat energy. Following is a list of typical appliance consumption when turned on fully for one hour of operation. This series and models manufactured by VENTURE RV has 30 amp service, 50 amp service is available as an option. Highly recommend that your RV electrical connection, is not plugged into a household outlet. This power cord will be approximately 26 to 28 feet in length. Each cord has the correct gauge of wire to carry the correct voltage to coach. In some hook-ups the power cord may not be long enough and extension cords are required. Include these also in your planning. WARNING NEVER, under any circumstances, remove a grounding pin in any cord or plug. It may mean the difference between LIFE OR DEATH. CAUTION A 50 amp service is a 240-volt hook-up. When using such an adaptor, you have reduced incoming power and CANNOT power all your appliances. This GFCI device is designed to protect people from hazards of line to ground electric shock.Batteries are not standard equipment or supplied by the manufacturer on Venture RV units. Recommended batteries are of deep-cycle type as you need longer, slow consuming power rather than cold-cranking power. A battery is PDF created with pdfFactory trial version www.pdffactory.com. A battery requires routine maintenance for long life. First, terminals need to be kept clean to avoid corrosion. Second, a battery used daily will consume water as long as the converter is in operation. Be sure to check the battery no less than every 30 days and keep the battery filled with distilled (rain) water. BATTERY—AUXILARY. The RV battery is placed in parallel circuitry with the battery on your tow vehicle, which is NOT SUPPLIED by manufacture. Care needs to be exercised not to drain both batteries together. The connector between the recreational vehicle and the tow vehicle may build up corrosion due to moisture. You may need to clean these terminals occasionally to insure good electrical contact. With 50 amp it means 2- 120 volt positive wires will be attached to two banks of positive power in circuit breaker box, one to each side. Power cord will have 4 prongs on it, 2 positive,1 neutral, and 1 ground. Some appliances are built and equipped to operate on propane gas ONLY. DO NOT attempt to operate on natural, butane or methane fuel. This power must be present before propane gas can enter through the control to the burner tube. NOTE: Different model furnaces are used for different unit floor plans. Air in the propane line will significantly delay burner ignition. The burner may light unexpectedly as the air in the line clears and is replaced by propane. You could get burned causing injury. CAUTION Hand held igniters may be used but be sure they are the type designed for lighting open flame burners. At this position, the oven pilot will remain lit. 4. To shut down the oven pilot light slightly depress knob and turn clockwise to “. If you do not smell propane, go to the next step. 5. Turn “ON” the propane supply. 6. Turn on electrical power to the appliance. 7. Turn switch marked “ Gas “, which is located on bottom of the monitor panel, to “. By far the most common trouble with electric water heaters results from energizing the water heater before it is filled with water. Even brief operation of the electric element without water in the tank will burn out the electric heating element. Venting For an absorption unit to operate fully it must have two vents. The lower vent serves as access to service components and allows air to enter. Door Handles During travel, the door latch prevents the door from opening. When closing each door, push the door toward the refrigerator until you hear a “. Should you wish to change temperature on the inside of box you must move the thermister and wire on the fins of unit. Venture RV does not stock nor sell this option. It’s main function is to maintain a charge for any auxiliary battery you may have installed on your coach. Two sizes are available, a short or tall version, depending on size or model of camper and space. These phone numbers are listed in the appliance manuals. Manuals should stay in unit at all times. I say “may” because not all slide-out mechanisms should be lubricated. (Check your owner’s manual.) An accumulation of dirt is likely to cause serious problems and excessive wear to the RV slide-out components. The seams should be solid, but flexible — long exposure to the elements can make them brittle and prone to leaking. Pay special attention to the top and bottom seals, which are especially important and vulnerable. And be sure to perform inspections both with the slide out extended and retracted. If you encounter any issues with your slide out’s seams and seals, don’t delay in getting them fixed.Every time you move the slide in or out, make sure the slide seals flip over properly and that any debris that may have gotten lodged under the seals is removed to ensure a watertight seal. RV slide out seal maintenance simply requires cleaning and lubing of the seals.Nothing has been damaged. Just replace the fuse and the slide-out will operate normally again. You may have to ask your dealer how this functions — because the odds are your manual will tell you nothing. This can easily lead to stripped gears — because the noise is caused by the teeth jumping out of the gear. More often than not, the RV slide-out motor is not getting power due to faulty wiring or a faulty switch. It doesn’t cover all of them — but it confirms how general maintenance tips for all RV slide-outs just don’t apply: Most have an RV slide-out repair manual that you can download: I’ve owned, used, and repaired almost every class and style of RV ever made. With a GVWR over 8,500 lb (3,900 kg), Super Duty pickups are class 2 and 3 trucks while chassis cab trucks are class 4 and class 5. The F-Series Super Duty has been used as the base chassis of the Ford Excursion full-size SUV.In Suriname, even though traffic is on the left side of the road, the import and registry of left hand drive vehicles is allowed. The weight and class of these trucks would make them the heaviest trucks in the F-Series line at the time.In response to the changing demographics of pickup truck purchases during the 1980s and 1990s, Ford shifted the design of the F-150 separate from the larger F-250 and F-350 (which remained in production). While still a full-size pickup under the skin, to expand its appeal among consumers, the F-150 adopted carlike aerodynamics and convenience features. To market a truck that appealed towards commercial buyers, fleet buyers, and users who tow, Ford sought to create a separate, dedicated heavy-duty truck platform (in place of using one chassis for all of its trucks). By expanding into two separate but related platforms for F-Series trucks, the inevitable compromises inherent in offering a wide range of load-carrying capacities were avoided.Two-wheel drive was standard, with four-wheel drive as an option; on F-350 pickup trucks, a dual rear-wheel axle was optional with either drive configuration. Under the skin, only the base-equipment 5.4L V8 and 4R100 transmission are shared. While sharing the similar aerodynamic cab design of its smaller counterpart, the exterior of the Super Duty trucks are much different forward of the windshield. To improve aerodynamics over metal-framed mirrors, manual-telescoping trailer tow mirrors were available as an option. As an industry first, 2 large complete ring-style front tow hooks were included.
