I get my most wanted eBook Many thanks If there is a survey it only takes 5 minutes, try any survey which works for you. We never know the exact year but this should help. Not all the newer Electrolux vacuums will be here, just the major models. This is not a technical or model specs page about Electrolux vacuums. To get that information, you will need to contact Aerus. This has been gathered for informational purposes only. For official and technical information you will have to contact Aerus Electrolux. We have tried to make this as accurate as possible but do not guarantee it to be 100 accurate. We think Electrolux is a great vacuum and it has been a piece of American vacuum history. It is not uncommon to see a 40-year old Electrolux still running perfectly. The term buy once and buy right would apply to an Electrolux in our opinion. My sister-in-law still uses her 1940 Electrolux (given to her by her grandmother) and it works fine.http://www.chbcnlr.com/userfiles/bt620s-user-manual.xml I have seen vacuum salesmen demonstrating how strong the Electrolux is by jumping on it with all their weight (don't try that at home). I must say that I think the Electrolux vacuum is one of the most convenient vacuums to vacuum with as well. Electrolux vacuums have been in existence for almost 100 years now. In this document, I am only going to mention the latest models. For all other models, you should be able to find information on the internet. We have listed the models below and by each model, you will see a year. This year represents the year we believe Electrolux started making that particular model. If you are looking for an older model, please let us know. We sometimes come across some of the older ones. This was the first official model with the Aerus name change. In my opinion, age is not a big factor in an Electrolux because they last for so long. What you need to look at is condition and how they have been treated. In my opinion, I would not be scared off by a 10 or 15 year Electrolux. If properly maintained, you probably have another 15 years of use left. You could go through 5 super store plastic vacuums in that amount of time.As we have serviced, repaired and rebuilt thousands of Electrolux or Aerus Vacuums we have not noticed any problems and they are powerful dependable vacuums that you will love. The only exception to that is the Electrolux Renaissance. That was the 1st model that they put the switches to control the vacuum in the hose handle and they had some problems with that hose going out after awhile. I think for the money they are an excellent value. I think if you get the models 6500, Guardian, 8000, 9000 canister models you are fine and the uprights I would go with the Gray Epic 3500 models and you would be fine. If you want to buy a brand new Electrolux (now Aerus) product you will need to contact Aerus directly as that is the only way to buy new units.https://www.informaquiz.it/petrgenis1604790/status/flotaganis22032022-0140 If you want to save some money and buy reconditioned then you can shop at our store at the link below. Those are made by a different vacuum company (Proteam) but the quality and power is just as good if not better. Those we sell new but I have not been able to find another company in Canister Vacuums that make as good a quality of Canister Vacuums as Electrolux does. You would probably receive a warranty with the work, and the things a long time. Great return on investment. But if you are determined to do it yourself, open the front of the canister and remove the bag. As you are looking at the front of the unit, there are two vinyl coverd strips that run the length of the unit. Pull forward on these strips and then pull out so that the vinyl seperates from the plastic underneath. Now grab the plastic strip with a pair of needle nose pliers and pull towards the front of the canister. These can be tough if the machine has never been opened up before, but pull as hard as you need to, to slide the strip out. Once both strips are out, turn the machine over, pull out on the sides of the bottom of the unit, and lift up. The bottom should come of relatively easily, and eveything will be exposed. Good Luck!! You would probably receive a warranty w.For normal cleaning conditions the dial should be set in center position (T). When vacuuming fine dust, rotate the dial counterclockwise. When vacuuming larger particles, rotate.N137A (for Electrolux Epic Serial 6500 SR) has a broken wire. Can I get a replacement power nozzle or find a repair place in the Everett, Washington vicinity? I have the motor Arthur Gaucher Can I download one on line? Judy Lewis Power nozzle losing contact intermittently. Is this piece replaceable or repairable? Model C133A - Vacuums. I gave it away many years ago and sometimes kick myself for doing it.It was hard to tell what shape it was in because the photos were poorly staged. So I threw caution to the wind and bought it because the price was right.http://flordeyebenes.com/images/britax-car-seat-manual.pdf It came on Thursday and I was pleased to see that it was in really great shape. Now, it runs like a top! This is just like my old one, with a smooth finish. That's not really noticeable. Shipping has gotten outrageous but I couldn't resist this find! In my experience, it's the best performance upgrade you can give any Electrolux canister. Even with the tiny crack, it sounds like you made a good purchase. Also, the top has the crinkle finish in chrome. Others were the Diplomat LX, Genesis LX and whatever central vac was being manufactured at the time.I have both the Ultralux and Grand Marquise. The chrome trim on my Ultralux has the crinkled finish that you described. I wonder exactly how many were made?I personally like the look, although it?s purely aesthetics! Here?s a couple of mine with the crinkle finish and full chrome body. I have to replace my motor and I don't want to tear into it until I have an idea as to how. Thanks for any help you can give! Two are under the blower port cover. One is on the top handle and the last one is up front by the bag door. Once those are removed the top will lift off.Two are on top and one is on the bottom. Once those are removed, use a slotted screwdriver and hammer to gently tap the cord winder off. Be sure first to mark where they go and then remove them. Two of the terminals are connected together and mount to a single post on the cord winder. They simply slide apart. Next, there's one more connection from the motor field to the black wire on the wiring harness that needs to be separated. All wire should be disconnected by now.Once those are removed, the motor cover will lift off and the motor itself can be pulled out. As far as I can tell, there are three models: Grand Marquis, Ultralux, and Ultralux LX. The Grand Marquis has no name marking and silver top trim, correct.https://www.advancedevents.ro/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/1628914263ec02---canon-a1000-is-manual-pdf.pdf The Ultralux has its name on the back and textured blue top trim, then the Ultralux LX has a different style name label and has silver top trim that was either flat or textured, or is there some other combination. I could swear that I've seen that body with blue top trim and no name label, but maybe not. In any case, could someone with solid knowledge describe how to distinguish these models, perhaps the official name of that grayish-white color? I wonder if, at times, Electrolux built built the same model with slight trim changes. Thank You! I'll let you know how it all turns out. This motor has been in there for close to 30 yrs, it glows blue green when it runs. Time for a new motor then when I feel like fiddlin, I'll rebuild the old one. Thanks again! It's also a model 1521. Isn't this model in there with the aforementioned models, too? Strange how the crack pattern is nearly identical. I wonder if it's a stress crack somehow? They are longer, more supple, and will enhance the performance 10-fold. I have used and purchased the aftermarket hoses and have had nothing but good luck with them. Certainly worth the money and at half price--just about. You can't beat them! It's easy to change that out and I think that's probably what happened with the first vac pictured in this thread. This vacuum is known for having a faulty motor. It's beige color is rather bland. Then came the Marquis in about 1986. This was, as pictured above a white body, blue trim, blue crinkled painted top, no badge, and a smooth finish beige front. This lasted about a year and had a similar pn to the Marquis but a matching color. Not sure what made it different. Then the Ultralux as pictured above in about 1989. The body was only slightly different to the Grand Marquis. It had a badge with name and the front was a beige crinkled vynil. Also, the power nozzle cover was more rounded, eliminating all the grooves the previous cover had. Then the Ultralux LX in about 1990, again as pictured above.chooset.com/galeria/files/700r4-service-manual.pdf And also with few canister changes. Here, compared to the Ultralux, it had the full size stick on badge, a chrome crinkled top, and the power nozzle was the first with a head lamp. Then came the Ultralux Classic about a year later in 1991. This was the same as the LX but the colors were reversed.Little did I know I was getting the last of the metal Electrolux canisters. I was just thrilled to have the last one in his inventory. I pampered that thing even despite the woven hose. I always carefully hung it over two hooks to keep it from getting worn. Of course, not to be forgotten is the Limited Edition Commemorative model which was black and metalic. Only a few were made. I believe the short crevice nozzle was sold with the Marquise, Grand Marquise, and Legacy with its own storage clip on the carrying handle of the cleaner. The rest came with the longer crevice tool, which was stored apart from the cleaner. All originally were paired with braided hoses. All others were labeled only in literature and on packaging. As far as I know it was an option for it and the rest of the 1521s.The subtle difference is that the trim of the bag door cover of the GM is smooth and the L's is textured.Just for fun. They were intended as a gift. Apparently that meant something at one point. The end of metal bodied models was a good thing. It was the last one I had and no one wanted to buy it. I gave it to goodwill. An 80 year old woman was at the donation door and she couldn't lift it. She referred to it as junk. It had a brand new hose but that means nothing to the average person. Since I have two CE?s I?d LOVE to have some accompanying literature, brochures, owners manuals, etc.I'm curious what happened if you don't mind sharing? Dealers are located in over 50 countries throughout the world. All of the vacuum cleaners are built in either Ohio or Texas. The company's primary competitors included The Hoover Company and The Eureka Company, both of which began operations in 1909, as well as Bissell that started building carpet sweepers in 1876. Their primary European competitor was Electrolux, which started 1924.As long as the cleaner was consistently pulled backwards, tension in the spring would remain constant and the turbine would continue spinning. It was designed for rural areas that didn't have electricity, and was very similar to the carpet sweeper. The company changes the appearance of the cleaner with revised color schemes and introduces new model names while keeping the core technology intact. Used machines are widely available for sale internationally. The first model was the R, followed by the 2R, 3R and 4R. In 1970, input from Kirby distributors, dealers, management and customers guided Kirby engineers in developing the Kirby Classic. This ushered in the second generation models, and was an instant success, with soaring sales, allowing the company to expand its manufacturing facilities outside of Cleveland for the first time, which coincided with the rising popularity of wall-to-wall custom installed carpet. As long as the customer owns the machine as the registered owner, if the cleaner needs repair, they can send it back to the Rebuild Department and have it restored to “like-new” condition. The company will completely disassemble it, repair or replace any worn Kirby parts, and sandblast, polish and buff metal parts back to a shiny “new” appearance. Internal components are also thoroughly inspected and repaired with Kirby replacement parts so that it will perform as originally designed. Please help improve it by removing promotional content and inappropriate external links, and by adding encyclopedic content written from a neutral point of view. ( January 2020 ) ( Learn how and when to remove this template message ) Kirby's vacuums made until 1919 were made by Frantz Premier. One of the popular selling points is that it can be easily configured into a canister vacuum, hand portable vacuum, blower, floor buffer, and more. One of the most common complaints about Kirbys is that they're heavy. The image of the machine made from metal adds to that reputation. The difficulty to push the machine is largely due to the suction created that makes it difficult to maneuver, especially in deep pile carpets and not necessarily the materials used in manufacture, however, for elderly users or users with arthritis, the 23 pound (10kg) weight can make it difficult to use. With the introduction of the 1945 Model 505, the handle could be removed and the machine converted to a portable unit with a shoulder strap so that cleaning in difficult areas could be performed, and the machine converted into a canister-type cleaner with a long hose attached to the front for dusting tasks. With most vacuum cleaner models, the rubber drive belt that powers the brush bar, an integral component with most modern machines, remains in place and is only examined when it breaks. Vacuum attachments are available on other machines but don't require the drive belt to be disconnected and the carpet nozzle with the rotating brush bar removed. For delicate surfaces, the drive belt that spins the brush bar can be detached so that only suction is used. In 1976 with the introduction of the Classic III, a small plastic window was installed in the belt lifter so the belt could be visually inspected as being intact and installed on the turbine driveshaft, however, this feature was only available for a short time, and was removed in 1981 for the Heritage model. When the Heritage II was introduced in 1984, Kirby revised the carpet nozzle by making it slimmer, and in 1987 a Brush Performance Indicator Light was installed in the top of the carpet nozzle. This device consisted of a coiled copper wire wrapped around a magnet, with additional magnets installed in the rotating vibrating brush that created an electrical charge. A small LED bulb would then light up when the brush bar was spinning; if the light appeared to blink or wasn't illuminated, it meant the brush bar wasn't rotating at the desired speed, and that the nozzle needed to be adjusted up or signifying that an inspection of the drive belt was needed. This feature replaced the earlier plastic window on the belt lifter handle. The feature was no longer offered on models made after 1990, starting with the Generation 3. A cloth bag that allowed airflow to pass through and clean the air was attached at the top of the Sani-Emtor. Earlier versions of the cloth bag used a dense duvetyne, and later corduroy cotton and wool fabric bags where fine grit, dander and other foreign contaminants collected. The cloth bag can be laundered periodically, if necessary. Starting with the Tradition model, an internal, disposable paper bag was introduced optionally in addition to the cloth shake-out bag, so that customers could decide which method they preferred. The disposable paper bag provided a protective barrier against the interior surface of the cloth bag, and offered the convenience of storing the cleaner when finished, not requiring that the bag be emptied every time. The disposable paper bags became standard following the release of the Heritage model, with the shake-out bag becoming optional. The introduction of the Generation 3 in 1990 marked the end of the shake-out bag, with disposable paper bags being the only method of dirt containment. Starting with the Sentria in 2006, Kirby bags are no longer made of paper, but polypropylene, a cloth-like fabric.A carpet shampoo attachment, called the Rug Renovator appeared with the Dual Sanitronic 50 in 1965, which uses a dry foam method to scrub the shampoo into the carpet. The plastic backing of the handle could be easily removed and items placed inside could be retrieved. Oddly, this feature was never mentioned in the owner's manual from 1970 until it was discontinued in 2006.Another original attachment offered with the Model 2C, called the Crystalator, could be used to fumigate closets for insects and moths using mothballs, which was no longer available with the Legend model in the late 1980s.This was replaced three years later with the Heritage II in 1984 called the Zippbrush, utilizing a rotary brush attached to the turbine in a more compact housing, which is still being offered.
