By doing so you now have Flat Panel Antenna the assurance and peace of mind that comes with purchasing a product made Power Adaptor by one of the leading manufacturers. It is likely that we can resolve any problems for you via phone or email. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to. Follow all instructions and take notice of all warnings to reduce the risk of fire or electric shock. A rooftop antenna may be necessary. Angle Position the front or back of the Bauhn Digital Indoor Antenna to face the strongest transmission tower. Amplification Adjust the amplification dial until a strong signal is achieved. To increase amplification, turn the dial to the left. Some areas won’t require amplification, meaning the power adaptor is not required. Note: Screws are not included a. Find a suitable position to mount on the wall or cabinet b. Test the reception on all channels c. Yes, you can mount the antenna using the mounting holes on the back of the unit. Always check for suitable reception before permanently mounting. Do I have to use the power adaptor. The power adaptor can improve the signal in some cases. If you are still having difficulty producing an adequate signal after all steps in this manual have been attempted, a rooftop antenna may be required. Like Share More 1 answer Cass 2 years ago I do not use PC to view TV channels so I have no need to use the USB port. However, according to the manual, USB is to be connected to computer if you use the antenna to get TV signal for PC based viewing (need to buy a dongle connecting PC to the signal port of the antenna). I think USB port is for PC to supply 5V to the antenna. Like Report manicse asked 4 years ago I bought one this weekend. At first nothing it pickup but positing it just picked one community channel (C31). I tried many different angle nothing else is picked up. Thinking to return back but wanted check (one last try) if anyone know where to position it best to work? 1 like Share More 2 answers Cass 4 years ago You might like to try on the (external) walls or windows facing out without facing neighbor's walls. I found that the high position seems better but no need to be higher than necessary. If your walls have Aluminium foil insulation in the cavity then it won't work (the metal foil blocks the signal - see ). What I did before: I tried out various antenna locations (using masking tape to keep it in place temporarily first) before finalizing with a screw fixed to the wall (a little tedious if you are unlucky). If nothing works then it may be a good idea to return. Like Report Dutchie00 4 years ago I found it best against a window, I have 2 and they work great.
