Most of them I've seen have a red gear box but as you can see this one has a yellow. Can anoyone identify it by the pictures attached.The 1100 has a round integral PTO shield and not the earlier shroud cover. The 1100 also has a fully enclosed shield around the belt drive to the wobble box. I have an IH 1100 model with 7 ft bar and a CIH 1300 with a 9 foot bar. The 100 and the 1100 are field cutting machines. The 1300 while a good field cutter can also mow roadsides and work in tight corners due to the 3 pt hitch setup. Except the color of the wobble box. It's also an 1100 head too. I would guess they grenaded the original. The 1100 has a forged bottom end on the yoke (it's kinda rounded instead of having nice square edges) They're dimensionally interchangeable though, so don't worry about parts availability. The pin end of the 100 yokes tend to hammer out faster than the 1100 yokes, so the upgrade is a good thing.
