Jasper 3.0 out of 5 stars I have searched the pdf download of. I am almost through it now. I passed the SSCP recently so I think that helped me breeze through some as there is some overlap. My issue is more with the practice questions. There are many, many questions in the practice test book which are not based on the study guide. Domain 6 is the worst offender. I have searched the pdf download of the book for half the things which were tested in the domain 6 and they are not present in the study guide anywhere. Some I know from work experience but come on, one of two things: Only test on what you have presented for study, or, If the additional subjects from the practice questions are necessary for the exam include them in the study guide!http://www.alex-vasilkov.ru/images/wisdom/brookstone-grill-alert-probe-manual.xmlThe concepts are not well explained. They are often not even explicitly defined. They are not always grouped together meaningfully. I think that it's really a failure of the writing style and editing, nobody read it for clarity. And it's really not concise enough. The concepts could be more clearly explained, more logically, in a book two-thirds or half the size of this ponderous tome. I could post specific exchanges examples, but why bother. Not sure that this matters anyway, this is the official study guide, so you're going to get it and slog through it anyway. But this is just. Disappointing. Makes me appreciate the PMP much more than I used to.The practice test were the most helpful in my opinion, as they helped you get ready for how the questions are the CISSP exam flow, and how they expect you to come to an answer. This was to me the biggest difference between the CISSP and other certification exams I have taken.Great book! I read this book cover to cover and found it to be well written and an enjoyable read. I preferred this book over the All-In-One Guide. David Lord 5.0 out of 5 stars After 3 months of continuous studying and reading Mike’s study guide cover to cover, I’m glad this accomplishment is realized. Wasn’t easy, definitely worthwhile.Both the study guide and the practice test book come with electronic tests and flashcards. Some questions are shared between both but they rarely overlap. I only gave it 4 stars due to the practice tests book. There are a number of questions that have errors or are incorrect. In some cases it seems like they just reordered the answers as the letter is wrong but the explanation is correct (and referring to a different letter) but in a few other cases they are wrong. Overall still a good resource but it could use some cleanup by a good technical editor.I passed the exam without an issue. Be sure to look up Mike Chapple's CISSP videos on Lynda.com, and certmike.com.The Sybex book is really dry to read, but its a great reference to explain the harder concepts and includes tips and tricks within the book. As for the book containing the practice questions, it contains a ton of questions per domain as well as 4 practice exams. You can also register the book and do the practice questions online. The questions provided are more straightforward than on the exam and isn't exactly structured the same way, but it's a good reference to test your knowledge. The reason for the 4 stars is because the book contains too much information and things that aren't tested on the exam. The questions in the practice question book are also based on the Sybex book and doesn't mirror the structure of the CISSP exam. Of all 150 questions, I was only certain that I correctly answered no more than 5. The material seemed well written, and I liked the pairing of the online Wiley test banks, and I took every online practice exam I can't say anything bad about this bundle.but just be sure you've thoroughly reviewed everything.
