Nodnarbius 5.0 out of 5 stars It was still in the shrink wrap, and even had the online e-guide access still available. The shipping could have been a little quicker as it took over ten days to get to me, however, this could be my fault as I did not utilize a faster shipping method, so no fault to the seller here. All in all, an excellent product buying experience. I think the guide is really helpful even after over 80 hours put into the game. It has given me some new insight to utilize the game mechanics. There are many things included here I wouldn't have thought of before. One of the best is in regards to traffic flow and the use of curved roads. These are two things I never really gave much thought to, however, once you start to read about it, you start to think about it. I really believe that is the mark of something special. It should make you think beyond what the guide presents and allow you to be your own player and try new things. This is a good quality game that does have some limitations in place that are not necessary, but hardly ruin the overall experience.http://ahnil.com/userData/board/bridgestone-marine-fender-design-manual.xml

The real point here is that I bought this guide after so many hours, and I hope it helps me think of new ways to play for so many more!I think Maxis has done a great job of returning to the world of SimCity 2000 and updating it for 2015. However, the two biggest problems are the size of the book and the gray typeface color which make it extremely difficult to read. Why did Prima make this such a virtually small book in size and type face. Surely it would have been cost effective to make a large, if thin, game guide with black typeface that could be easily read. I would appreciate any comments other SimCity gamers might have about this problem. There is a lot of information made readily available with colored tabs on the ends of the pages. As someone who has played this series since SimCity2000, I find it a great source. While the game may have landed with a thud, this guide had some great tips and hints, and some interesting insight to what SimCity was supposed to be. This is a good on ya, Prima.I love SimCity but find it somewhat addictive. The game arrived two days before the book, so I played the game about eight hours, before I had a chance to look into the book. That said, about 40 of the content is just trivial statements, 55 is a reference of information that you can find in the game by simply click on icons. I found only about 5 unknown and useful information in the book. Examples for trivial info: Page 65. Power: Points to remember. Is there anyone who would grab the book to look this info up when playing. Is this info useful when not sitting in front of the PC playing that game. Anyway, the reason why I still like the book is, that it has tiny little bits of useful information (which are hidden very well in this ocean of useless and annoying content) e.g. - I wasn't aware that the ground water level is not static: it is vanishing when used and rain will replenish it. It has a nice layout.http://www.shophoathuymoc.com.vn/assets/images/bridgestone-tire-specification-u0026-maintenance-manual.xml The book has a voucher code on page 3, which allows you to access the the complete(!) content of the book online. The text and pictures are identical, only the layout is changed to a single column layout. I just wish it would come in a condensed form without all the trivial and redundant info.In the past I have enjoyed such guides for the SIMs series, as it shows you things that are hidden away and very subtle so that you can get the most our of the game. But here it is just a waste of time and money. It just lists details of all the buildings, what each icon, window, view etc. means. But there is no hidden information, no guides and how to get the max out of the game. There is nothing in here which you can't easy get for free from other sources, including in game. Perhaps this is a reflection on how superficial the game itself is, that the guide cannot provide depth to a game which doesn't have it!The information that's included is nicely presented but can be found on the internet for free. The eguide that comes with it has poor support - a lot of information about the new updates is missing and because of that newcomers to the game should try an internet guide than this one. I like the interview parts and the behind-the-scenes parts. The free access to the online copy using the given code within the book allows you to keep up to date with any changes. Definitely recommend this. The book is clearly written and ombines good information with many hints on playing the games. I particularly liked the articles written by designers. First released in 1989, the newest non-numbered SimCity was announced on March 6, 2012. Built using Maxis' GlassBox engine, SimCity is a PC and Mac gameIt sounds simple enough but can be quite challenging. For instance, if you construct industrial zones near houses the citizens get angry, some will move out. You have to fulfill the citizens needs to keep them satisfied. Head to the Starter Guide to read more on this topic.http://schlammatlas.de/en/node/15687 YES NO In This Wiki Guide SimCity Summary: Revitalizing the original simulation management game, this version of SimCity features a fully 3D view of the town to allow players complete access over their creations. Houses, Objects, Clothes, Walls, Floors, Make-up, Skins Seamless Textures Help Using This Site Some of this reflects issues which have been patched out of the game and some information that is incomplete or out-of-date has been removed. I didn't make them so I want to thank the Youtubers who shared their efforts - please go and like their videos to show your support! Unlike SimCity 5 with it's tiny cities, bizarre agent behavior and hateful traffic management, Cities: Skylines actually feels like the natural successor to SimCity 2000, 3000 and 4. Whilst certainly not perfect, this game created by 9-person team, Colossal Order and published by Paradox, is (in my opinion) the city building stategy game we've all been waiting for. The level of detail encompassed in the game is fabulous and there are many awesome little things you can discover. I also love the fact it's paced at a gentle enough rate that it doesn't require constant juggling; you can tweak and obssess over one specific aspect to your heart's content if you wish without the rest of your city falling into chaos. Or if you like juggling then simply enable the included Hard Mode mod! As I write this we are eagerly awaiting the addition of tunnels which the developers are giving us in a coming FREE update. Tunnels! Seriously. How great is that? The first is that I have fixed the contact script.https://gingersgarden.com/images/brandt-oven-user-manual.pdf I honestly don't know why it was broken, but I can confirm it now does what it is supposed to! A significant number wanted updated articles to reflect the additions and changes made by the Cities of Tomorrow EP. Unfortunately I do not have this pack, nor do I wish to purchase it because I was too disappointed and annoyed with the original, by the time I'd finished writing the articles on this site I genuinely felt like I never wanted to play Simcity ever again (still true). Unfortunately this would be impossible to provide without playing the game, however I will set aside some time to browse YouTube for existing relevant content to add as relevant links. If you know of some videos that you think are especially well made and helpful then I'd really like to hear about them - please use the newly refurbished Contact form to let me know your recommendations! Or perhaps it'll happen in 5 years and a lot of people still want to play. The point is, we don't know, and since the EULA states we have no right to service, it is entirely in EA's hands and I for one, do not feel at all happy about that. EA was slow enough to hand over their credit cards to Amazon to fix the server shortage after release, how long do we imagine they'll keep paying to allow people to play a game once it has ceased to make a big profit? The next installment went into production a few months ago and could be released as soon as 2017 DRM is a 'necessary evil' according to Lucy Bradshaw - Ok Lucy, if you say so, but treating paying customers like would-be-criminals who will steal given the slighest opportunity is a highly negative and aggressive strategy, and very poor thanks to those of us who have spent serious money on EA's products for many years. Learn more Keeping a massive city afloat is far different from juggling a few residential blocks. Fortunately, you can do well for yourself by following a few key principles. These tips will help you start and maintain a growing city. As you expand, they become even more crucial. Keep these in mind and pay attention to what's happening in your city, and you'll be a popular mayor in no time. DO THINGS IN ORDER When beginning your city, you'll need to start construction in a particular order. In order, your first steps should be: 1. Lay roads. 2. Zone residential, commercial, and industrial areas. 3. Build a power station. 4. Build a water tower. 5. Build a sewage treatment plant. 6. Build a town hall. 7. Build garbage dumps, firehouses, hospitals, and police stations. 8. Build remaining services. Follow these beginning steps to get your economy going. After that, start building whatever you need. USE EVERYTHING Of course, you need a bit of everything. Don't ignore firehouses, or buildings will burn. Don't ignore schools, or your Sims will never get educated. In SimCity, everything works like a giant game of rock-paper-scissors; everything serves a purpose. As you progress, you'll require more than just one of each construct. For example, you'll need enough police stations to cover crime in all regions of the city. Think of each building as a web - each one can only cover so much ground. If you don't like web metaphors, think of it this way: divide your city up into districts (which you've probably already thought about anyway).ais-rus.com/ckfinder/userfiles/files/7340-manual.pdf Do you have enough services in place to collect trash, fight fires, cure sick, and stop crime in each district. SPREAD IT BEFORE YOU EDIT Nearly every buildable object can tweaked. Hospitals can have more ambulances; firehouses can have more trucks. Don't get caught up in maxing out every aspect of these buildings so soon. The more sprawling your city, the more you'll need to place. Each building has a limited response time: maxing out a firehouse in the northern part of town does no good if the trucks can't reach the southern part of town in time. Make sure you place enough services to adequately cover your city, then begin upgrading them. ZONE BALANCE IS KEY The bottom right corner of the menu shows three bars: green, blue, and yellow. These represent residential demand, commercial demand, and industrial demand respectively. When you being your city, start zoning in a 2:1 ratio that favors residential. In other words, build twice the residential zones as you build commercial or industrial: the amount commercial and industrial zones combined should equal residential. As the city grows, keep an eye on these demand meters. If commercial demand starts rising, zone more commercial space. Pay attention to the meters and build accordingly, and you'll keep your employment and income rates steady. YOU WON'T BE A MILLIONAIRE RIGHT OFF THE BAT Every city starts small; that's just the way it is. Don't expect to have tidal waves of money rolling in at the city's start. As you expand, costlier items become available, but everything starts in a meager state. Tweaks to the budget and increases in commercial and industrial zones will increase income. Balancing the budget, which becomes more complex as you upgrade your city hall, is the best way to organize money coming in versus money going out. IT'S OK TO BE A JERK (TEMPORARILY) Of course, the quickest way to increase city income is to raise taxes. Keeping them high, however, leads to unhappy citizens and a low approval rating.https://dsodrecital.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/16283cf3aafc84---bt-cd110s-manual.pdf Fortunately, you can play a bit of tug-o-war to keep people happy while still creating an income spike. Basically, your approval and happiness will be just fine if you raise taxes temporarily. Get the money, build the hospital, and drop taxes back to normal - the period of time in between won't damage your reputation much. NO AVENUES? NO GROWTH Eventually, you'll be trapped by the city's boundaries. You don't have quite as much room as you'd like. At this point, the only way to expand is through density, and that's where certain roads come into play. Low density streets and avenues work nicely for creating neighborhoods and linking areas, but the can't support larger structures. Medium density roads can support larger buildings, but only high density roads can support skyscrapers. You'll need a mix of all three types to keep your city expanding and running properly. DON'T SWEAT RESOURCES When claiming land in a new region, don't freak out over the resource meters. See what's available, and build your city accordingly. For example, don't rely on a coal plant for power if the area has no coal to speak of. By the same token, there is no harm in dropping multiple types of power plants - if you have the money and workers to keep them running. You might even find you only need the original plant to keep the whole city going. LISTEN TO YOUR PEOPLE Right off the bat, keep Thought Bubbles on in the settings menu (they're on by default). As you scroll around, you'll notice green and red thought bubbles. These offer hints as to how to improve your city. In the same vein, make sure to click on Mission Bubbles - the grey speech bubbles that sometimes appear - when they pop up. These missions are usually very simple, and they come with a monetary reward most of the time. In addition, these are usually based on the current needs of your city. KEEP MINI-TUTORIALS ON Mini-tutorials pop up to help you out when things go south.https://www.bridalchapel.com/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/16283cf3cd9f80---Bt-4-manual.pdf It's hard enough to keep a few blocks running smoothly, much less your entire city. Keeping these on will allow the game to notify you when you're missing something important. By the same token, the blue information icon on the left side of any build menu will give you a complete rundown of everything those constructs will affect. Take a look at it if you're unsure how the new building will affect the surrounding area. YOU WON'T GET IT ALL AT FIRST Listen: we know SimCity can be overwhelming at first. That's just the kind of game it is, and it takes all players some time to grow accustomed to the mechanics. Keep these tips in mind, and you'll be fine. Big Government Place one of each of the City Hall departments on a single City Hall. Simcity 2013 Building Guide I have honestly had a thorough google search and I can't find a really detailed and solid guide to playing Simcity 5. I also don't want to watch someone play the game on Youtube for 2 hours. I just want a list that I can refer back to, of simple helpful facts. Anyone got a good link. The kind of information I want to know is things like. A general guide on how to specialize your city on one thing effectively e.g coal, casino etc. How to attract more medium wealth shoppers? (It says build more parks etc but I have a shit tonne of them so it can't be enough). Where does freight go? (Commercial zone?). How to attract more tourists. General list of basic beginner facts As a Simcity noob I feel quite lost trying to get these and many other simple questions answered. Maxis doesn't seem to have a detailed guide of the mid-late game. If you want to go down the industry path the first thing you should get at your city hall is the Department of Education. Place your community colleges and universities near industry zones to increase tech level. I've played this game for 100 hours so far. I've only managed to get a successful tourism city and a few successful mining cities. I fail hard when I try to go oil or gambling. As for starting a successful city. I know how to do that no problem. First things first: if you start an oil town do NOT get an oil power plant. It will make it incredibly hard to get the Petroleum HQ. The petroleum HQ is much harder than the metals. So, lets assume you have a city with coal and ore deposits and you want to make millions a day in trading. The first thing you should do is check your deposits and your wind map to determine where you should be placing your zones. Once you figure that out place some zones. Place a power plant, water tower, and sewage facility.(if you can buy from region). You should be low on money. Just keep placing residential and industry until you are broke. You'll be in the green if that's all you placed. The next thing you're going to want to think about is mining. The first thing you should build is a trade depot. You should be able to get that before you take a loan but if you're broke take out a 100k loan or two 50's. Place the trade depot near your industry and close to your mines to improve efficiency. Build an ore and coal mine in your town and add a coal and ore storage lot at your trade depot and an extra freight lot. Go to manage global market deliveries and set ore and coal to export for now. Max out the delivery trucks at your trade depot asap, they're 3000 each. Now the mines just need to be baby sat while we work on other services. Watch the storage meters on your mines, when they are full you are going to need a new truck to ease the load. When your trade depots are consistently full thats when you need a new trade depot. Add new drills only after we've handled our other services. As for the services, just fill them out from left to right. Trash, Fire, Health, and Police IIRC. The trash should go up first. Then a fire station and finally a medical clinic. Simcity 2013 Building Guide The police station can wait because this is usually when I run out of money from my initial loans. We should be making anywhere from 2,000-5,000 an hour at this point. Take out that final 100k loan and go crazy. Get a police station and put a community college near your industry. Also max out your drill site's upgrades. Sit back and watch the money flow in. Now we just let our city run for a bit. All of your roads should be low density. Start strategically upgrading them and don't forget to upgrade the roads to your industry as well. A department of utilities should be your next upgrade at your city hall as we're going to need a recycling plant to fully optimize our income. Now we wait, some time during all of this the metals HQ and the smelting factory are going to become available. Add them asap. Once the factory goes up, if you haven't already, add another trade depot and throw down storage lots for Alloy and Metal and set them to export. This is where the money is going to start flying at you. At this point I usually have 3 trade depots, and usually two storage lots each of coal and ore. Just remember to upgrade when your lots are full. You will make so much money at this point. Sooner or later you're going to unlock a processor factory, chances are it already is unlocked. Now you have a choice to make. You can plop down a processor factory but you're going to need to import plastic. Alloy sells for 49000 IIRC and processors for 67000. But we have to import our plastic so the adjusted price for the processors is 55,000. At this point your city should be making enough money to bank roll any other city you want to claim in the region. All there is left to do is to get a recycling plant to increase the efficiency of your processors. It doesn't hurt to pop down a grade school and a highschool along the way. Find a place for them as you need a good education level to keep processors going. Upgrade your services only when they get maxed out at their capacity or their symbol is red instead of yellow. If you want higher density residential buildings to start popping up you may need to also upgrade the density of your industrial buildings. I know lots about this game, if you have any questions just ask. I gotta head to work now, I will address your bullet points when I get back later tonight. To address the bullet points. Please note my 'authority' on these issues is not absolute. I've only played for about 70 hours so far. Oil cities are a bitch, if you go for oil do NOT go for an oil power plant. My fields dried up and my town died. As for gambling. I can never get gambling to work. My first casino is always profitable but any I lay beyond the first just sucks all my money away. I've yet to figure this out. To be fair though I've never actually went full gambling. I'll try it after this post and report back later. Tourism is easy as shit.
