Refer to section 6 for specif ication values. If only the primary power wires are connected, t he 120 VDC auxiliary power wires ar e electrically “hot” and must be insulated on the ends. Note: If a 12 0 VDC power suppl y is used, it must have at least 50,000 uF internal capacitance. See Powe r Supply Require ments (Table 3-5). 2.2.2 Discrete Commands The ACT2000 accepts two discrete, two-wire external commands: RUN and RESET. The commands are 24 VDC ON (High) and 0 VDC OFF (Low). Refer to Figure 2-3 for typical connection. Refer to Sectio n 6 for specification values.Reset Command The RESET command is a user provided discr ete input to the ACT2000, which causes the actuator to go through the initial homing seque nce and reset all internal position indicators. RUN and po sition demand inputs are ignored during the RESET command. Refer to Figures 2-4 and 2-5 for typical conne ction. Refer to Section 6 for load specification values. The position demand shall be provided o n the BROWN wire. The position demand inte rnal impedance is 2 00 ohms. The position demand require s a sourcing current. Position Feedback The ACT2000 provides actuator an alog position feedback to th e user. This internally generated feed back signal is proportional to the a ctual position. The actuator position fe edback is provided on the YELLOW wire.This internally generated feedback signal is pr oportional to actua tor load. 4mA represents no load on the actuator. The motor current feedback is provid ed on the BLUE wire. The expected exter nal impedance is 250 ohms. The maximum external impedance is 500 Ohms. 2.2.4 Fault Alarms The discrete alarm outputs are opto- isolated electronic switches that are nor mally closed. The user cont roller provides 24 VDC with current limit ing resistor, to complete the circuit. If a F AULT or OVERTEMP alarm has occurred, the sw itch opens thereby communicating an alar m to the user’s controller. Refer to Figure 2- 6 for typical connection.
