I would appreciate a PDF format type one if possible, and before i get flamed, YES I did look online, yes i did look at the obvious sites but to no avail. I would very much like a copy sent my way if possible. Thanks! I used to have a Gulp Matic, and it had the original users manual. I know who has it now, but I wrote down a lot of the info from it.

See I have a motor which I bought separately with a matching rear wheel which I am mounting to a Jawa frame, making brackets etc.You can see my dilemma.lol We'd love to have you join the discussion, but first. The color tells if there are pedals. A means Automatico, M means Marce march (foot-shift), V means Velocita speeds (cable-shift). From cybermotorcycle.com, motomanuali.it, and official publications. From ebay.it (search for pubblicita garelli) where every Italian publication has a year date. From mondo50cc.forumfree.it where most bike photos are identified and have a year date. A small column in The Motor Cycle dated 8 January 1948 would seem to be among the first introductions to enthuse over Garelli’s ingenuity to its British readership, while the Sterling Engineering Company of Dagenham entered speculative negotiations to try to make and sell Mosquito engines under licence onto the UK market, but their project was not secured. To protect Garelli’s name and reputation, the license came with demanding conditions requiring Chapuis lay out an entirely new factory to build the Mosquito engine, and expecting both high tooling standards, and machining facilities. This machine introduced a new 315 model Mosquito motor, with increased 40 millimetre bore. The rims got smaller, from 600 mm (23.6 inch) to 20 inch (508 mm). This purpose-made, pressed steel, rigid frame with leading-link forks was a simple and study mounting for the 38 -B cyclemotor, and completed the missing link to the obvious next step. This model, in 1952 France, was known for its solid build quality. All three Mosquito cyclemotor engines, the Centrimatic 49 for ?35-6s-6d, the 38 -B direct drive 49 for ?38-4s-6d, and even the original 307 at ?30-9s-7d were still being listed available as late as 1960! Its fully suspended pressed-steel frame with unit-construction motor, manual clutch, three-speed gearbox, and chain final drive represented the company’s first true moped. Continued from Into the Desert by Mark Daniels: Agrati shortly took the decision to develop their own range of scooters and mopeds in competition with the established Piaggio Vespa and Innocenti Lambretta. Debuted in 1958, the Agrati Capri scooter was introduced with a 70 cc two-stroke engine made by Garelli, and followed by a 50 cc Como scooter model in 1960. Here 1962 is a guess. Both models are called Fan Trail because both have upswept exhaust for trail riding, although only the 98 with a Sachs 100 engine had a fan. It replaced the Garellino. The rims got smaller. It had a Garelli-made Laura-design M48-02 dry-clutch belt-drive engine with 40 x 38 bore and stroke, instead of 40 x 39 like all the other Garelli 50’s. The bikes were imported and distributed by Engine Specialties, in Cornwells Heights, Pennsylvania. They were made in Italy by Fantic Motor or Agrati-Garelli. But all later models were called “Broncco”, because Ford owned the name “Bronco”. Most other Broncco models were made by Fantic and had Aspera-Tecumseh or Minarelli engines. It was the same as the Fantic logo. In 1969-70 the Broncco logo had a small Garelli logo, but in 1971-72 it did not. Broncco Diablo, Ranger, Eagle and Warrior had Minarelli P4-50 and P4-70 4-speed foot-shift manual clutch engines. The story of Broncco continues in the Fantic section. It had a two-speed automatic-shift engine 357cP, first used on 1960-62 Mosquito M2 Automatic. Only the 1969-70 Gulp Matic had this rounded 60’s engine. From 1971 to 1978 Gulp Matic had the more squared 70’s type “G2” engine. The rounded sides, cylinder and head fins of the 351, 353, 354, 357 engines became more straight. There were other internal changes. Garelli stopped mentioning the engine model number. The engine model is colored gold, instead of blue, to indicate that it’s a nickname. In the same manner it is convenient to refer to the two-speed vertical engines as Gulp or VIP, here called G2 or V2. (elsewhere V2 means V-twin).http://www.bosport.be/newsletter/edelbrock-intake-manifold-manual There are also k ick start and m anual clutch versions, and either 1 or 2 speed automatic, or 3 speed manual transmissions. Altogether the Garelli moped engines are here labeled H1, H1m, H1k, H1mk, H2, H2m, H2k, H2mk and G1, G1k, G2, G2k, G3m and V1, V1k, V2, V2k, V3m. There are also Monza types M1, M1k, and motorcycle types G4mk, G5mk with 4 or 5 speed manual transmissions (some with pedals for UK). Those were full-size bikes. The kid’s mini-cycle “Bat Baby” with a Morini S5K2 1-speed automatic engine renamed “Junior Cross”. Up to 1971 “Junior” meant “young adult”. After 1971 “Junior” meant “young child”. The new definition of “moped” was 50cc with pedals, unlimited in power and speed. By late-1972 or early-1973, makers like Garelli added pedals to their 50cc motorcycles. The UK-model specs and year ranges listed here are from there. It had the Katia horizontal cylinder engine design. The advantage of a horizontal cylinder design is slightly better bike control and handling, because the weight of the cylinder is lower. It was a one-piece upper (outer) tubes and yoke, with lower (inner) sliding tubes. The other models had separate upper (inner) tubes, a yoke that clamped to them, with lower (outer) sliding tubes. Eureka “Flex” models had flex ible rear suspension. Here is a Portuguese to English translation of this 1976 ad from Brazil. Fill in the coupon and send it to Bloch Editores, Garelli Contest, Rua do Russell, 804 Rio de Janeiro, to win a Katia Garelli if your sentence is one of the six that will be chosen by the Judging Committee among all participants.” These ads were for prospective dealers. The switches on the handlebar are different than Euro models. Other than that, the machinery is the same. They have different speed versions: 20, 25, 30mph instead of 25kmh, 40kmh, or 45kmh. The early 1977 UK mopeds are like 1976, 50cc with pedals, unlimited in power and speed. The late 1977 UK mopeds are like 1978, under 35mph, no pedals required. The purpose was to put the correct amount of oil into the gasoline when filling up with gas. It was not a true oil injector, that injects oil into the engine. Only the USA model Garelli mopeds had oil injector tanks. Most of them have been removed. After 20 years their plunger pump did not always pump enough oil. Myrons has recommended mixing the oil and gas manually, and not using the Garelli oil injector, since the early 1990’s. That name was used in the 1977 Clymer Garelli Manual. The new name only lasted about one year. The 1977 Gran Sport had a different frame and engine than the 1977 Gran Sport Twin. That was confusing. So in 1978 and later parts or service manuals, the name is 1977 Gulpmatic. In 1978 the VIP replaced the Gulpmatic. They are known as “mags” because the earliest cast alloy automotive wheels were made of magnesium. Both spoke and “mag” wheel types are made in Italy by Grimeca. Sport: The US model Eureka was renamed Sport. Notice how all models, except the Sport, have light grey oil injector tanks on the right side of the gas tank. It is rare to see a collection of Garelli’s all with their oil tanks, since they are usually removed at some point. These are the oil tanks that say American Garelli in orange. That dates the bikes to 1977. The actual 1978 bikes had part-black oil tanks with great big OIL INJECTOR writing. With that came many changes. In late 1978, the orange label on the oil injector tank that said American Garelli, was made black, and said oil injector in big letters. There are also 1980 and 1983 editions. Each page is stamped with the Agrati-Garelli Spa Gruppo Industriale logo. At the front of each section are the speed versions and the frame number ranges. Newer sections are added at the back, in newer editions. The name Noi was never used by either American Garelli or Agrati-Garelli Corp of America. It was not in any parts catalog or service manual. The American name was Sport, Gran Sport, or Rally Sport. Other successful models born in the seventies are the Katia (1973), the Vip (1978) and the Noi (1979). At left is a H2, and right is a H1. The shocks are about an inch shorter on the H2 version. So most late-1980’s and later mopeds worldwide were kick start with foot pegs, no pedals. But the 1980 VIP below has a “bullet” headlight, rather than a “pancake” headlight, like all the other 1980 Garelli models. So not everything changes at once. It’s easy to see from a distance by the silver color, when the other model’s iron cylinders are dark gray. See how in the 1980 brochure, the black bike at top left has a much bigger rear sprocket. That is how to tell a horizontal 2-speed from a distance. The new switches were not prone to breaking like the old ones were. The control housings did not change, except for color, from silver to black. It is seen below, on both the 1980 Rally Sports and the gorgeous green 1980 VIP. It was the same as the Rally Sport, except it had painted fenders, not polished stainless, it had a solo seat, not a bench seat, no rear luggage rack, and no oil injector tank. In the 1980-81 flyer below, only the black Super Sport XL with gold mag wheels has the smaller 90mm brakes. You can clearly see the three other models with spoke wheels have bigger front brakes, but you can’t see that the rear brakes are also bigger. A 1985 Rally SL has a bigger front hub than a 1980 Rally Sport. Lazzarini also finished second in the 50 cc class. Garelli was 125 GP world champion in 1982, 1983, 1984, and 1985. The 50cc Garelli won the 80cc race, and set a new lap record. It made 21.5 horsepower and had a 29.5mm carburetor. That racing 50 made ten times more power than a mild mannered 50cc moped, and it went 100 mph faster! By the early 1980s the 125 class was the most popular in Italy with well over 100,000 125cc motorcycles sold annually, and Garelli approached this market. For 1983 they released the TSR 125 with a Minarelli watercooled engine. The specification was modern, with disc brakes and alloy wheels, a bikini fairing and contemporary body styling. However, it was outmatched in looks and performance by the many rivals built by Aprilia, Cagiva, Fantic, Laverda and others, and was not a commercial success. The wheel of time seemed to turn full circle as the friction drive motor again became offered as the Bicimosquito attachment kit, or Velomosquito complete machine version. The return of these economy models was not however any sign of further success, but an indication of the depressed state of business, and the desperate position in which Garelli now found itself. The collapsed market for motor cycles and mopeds had led to an increasing dependence on activity from its Torpedo cycle division, and return of the Mosquito cyclemotor was perceived as a means to complement this now critical sector of income. It’s European sister was Junior Turismo. That is why there are not many 1981, 1982, or 1983 US moped models or brochures. In the early 1980’s Garelli moped dealers used the same 1979-1980 sales brochures, and sold 1980 models, for 2 or 3 years. This beautiful piece of Italian art and engineering arrived very late, as moped popularity was fading. As a result, Garelli did not sell many Monza GT’s, and so they uncommon in most parts of the USA today. The parts are even rarer. It is like the 1978-1985 VIP 2-speed, except some of the engine is different. The bore and stroke are both 40 x 39mm, but the VIP has a 1970’s style cast iron cylinder, while the Monza GT has a 1980’s style all aluminum cylinder with lots of fins. The cases are different at the cylinder base. The piston has a very high crown, like the early 1970’s European models such as Tiger, but with a boost transfer port rectangular window on the upper intake side of the piston. Apparently a Tiger piston works in a Monza GT, without the transfer port window, but makes less power. Because of these major differences, we are calling this vertical cylinder one-speed “M1” instead of “V1”. H is horizontal, V is vertical, and M is Monza vertical. Out of all that there was no 1984-1986 Garelli parts manuals or information. Out of 5000 mopeds serviced over 33 years, only about one or two were Monza GT’s. That’s how rare they are in Southern California. That’s why the only parts for Monza GT that Myrons has, are parts that are the same as other models. Tomos also changed to these levers in 1986. Garelli, and other moped makers like Puch and Vespa, pulled out of the USA, but continued to produce mopeds for the European market. Similar models were built in Spain or possibly Argentina. Weight around 52kg, 16in. whee ls. Urka was “born” in 1989. In ’89 the Como was renamed Gary. In these years the company achieved notable success in the world championship. Specifications: Most had to merge and become government controlled. Agrati-Garelli merged with Fantic Motor, which was a division of Fabbrica Motoveicoli (motor vehicle factory), all in Italy. White wheels were also on 1992-1995 Tomos. Meanwhile production in Italy continued until 1993. They had Avanti Va1, Va2 and Va2k (Garelli VIP remake) engines. However, after weeks of unsuccessful negotiations, Nuova Garelli withdrew its offer on June 14, 2010, at the same time issuing a harsh press release motivating the withdrawal in the face of hostility or disinterested behavior, held by the Councilor for Productive Activities of the Province from Bologna. Thanks to the intuition of three young Italian entrepreneurs, the Garelli brand makes it’s return with 100 electric scooters, motorcycles and bikes.
