If you only want your child to watch movies that have a PG rating and lower (in other words, movies rated PG and G), then you could automatically block out all other movies with higher ratings. Release the buttons after approximately two seconds. If you’re using the remote control, you must press the VCR button to put the remote control in VCR mode. If you’ve inserted a tape that has had its safety tab removed, the tape will be ejected. Set the recording speed (SP or EP) with the SPEED button on the remote control. Automatic tracking is activated when you insert a tape. TRACKING flashes on the TV screen during automatic tracking. Tape Playback The VCR records audio on both the Hi-Fi stereo and linear tracks on the tape. You also can reset all of the video features to the factory presets.Press MUTE again to remove the captions. If the TV turns on, go to page 42 for remote control solutions. Press PLAY on the remote to return the tape to play mode.Go to page 27 for instructions. Cable is color-coded and Gold-Tipped cable shielded. Has RCA-type phono plugs on each end. Your VCR may come with a channel list preset at the factory, but you may want to add or delete some channels depending on whether they are active. When the scan is complete, the VCR tunes to the lowest channel number. At this point, pressing CHAN up or down on the remote control or VCR should only select the active channels. The Auto Clock Feature enables the VCR to update the clock each time the VCR is turned off. If the Auto Clock Set was unsuccessful, set the clock through the TIME menu. INPUT Selects between the line inputs and the VCR’s tuner.TV Buttons The TV buttons may not control all features of all models of RCA, GE, or ProScan TVs. You cannot record on a tape with the safety tab removed. The VCR continues to record for the amount of time you indicate, and then automatically turns off. To stop an express recording, press and hold STOP for three seconds. The start date is automatically entered based on the VCR clock. Timer Recording Information The Clock must be set correctly. Reviewing and Clearing Programs To review programs that you have already set up: 1. Press 2 when the VCR MAIN MENU is displayed to display the TIMER RECORDINGS menu. 2. Press 2 to display the Review Existing Progs. screen. Use your other compatible VCR as the recording VCR, which should respond to VCR1. The remote is already programmed to operate most PROSCAN, RCA, and GE televisions and satellite receivers. The AUX button can be programmed to control a PROSCAN or RCA auxiliary component. The AUX button can be programmed to control a ProScan or RCA auxiliary component. Testing the Remote. Note the difference between the VCR and other component’s on-screen displays to determine which one the remote is operating. After recording, the VCR rewinds the tape to the beginning of the recording and determines where the commercials are located. The VCR resumes playback when it reaches the end of the marked commercials. Press SEARCH. If you press 1, the MOVIE ADVANCE menu appears. The following screen appears. The VCR switches automatically from slow-motion playback to stop after a few minutes. The VCR will search forward or reverse from the location you are on the tape. To turn automatic tracking back on, press both TRACKING buttons on the front of the VCR at the same time, or eject the tape and re-insert it.The date and time must be set before they can be displayed. Hi-Fi sound is recorded on separate left and right stereo channels. Monaural sound is recorded on the linear track. CAUTION Before changing a bulb, move the ignition switch to position “1”. CAUTION To extract the bulb socket, do not pull the electric wires. Grasp the parking light bulb socket (9), pull it and re- move it from its seat. Position the vehicle on the stand. Unscrew and remove the two screws (1). Remove the protection screen (2). CAUTION Upon reassembly, correctly position the protection screen in its seat. The following operations refer to a single bulb, but are valid for both. Before changing a bulb, check the efficiency of the stop- light switches, see 6.8.3 (SINGLE SWITCHES). Remove the front fairing, see 7.1.24 (REMOVING THE FRONT FAIRING). Slide out the relevant rubber bulb holder and, where necessary, replace the bulb. To rapidly check the correct direction of the beam, place the vehicle on flat ground, 10 m away from a wall. CAUTION Do not repair faulty fuses. Never use fuses different from the recommended ones. The use of unsuitable fuses may cause damages to the electric system or, in case of short circuit, even a fire. Wait until the engine and the exhaust silencer have completely cooled down. Fuel vapours are noxious for your health. Before proceeding, make sure that the room in which you are working is properly ventilated. NOTE If the deadening material inside the oil sump guard (2) is deteriorated, contact an aprilia Official Dealer to have it changed. 7.1.4 REMOVING THE RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES Carefully read 0.5.4 (REASSEMBLING THE COMPO- NENTS). Luggage rack side screw driving torque: 12 Nm (1.2 kgm). Remove the left cover, see 7.1.4 (REMOVING THE RIGHT AND LEFT SIDES). Unscrew and remove the screw (1). Turn the ignition switch to position “1”. Put back the rider saddle, see 7.1.7 (REMOVING THE SADDLE). Disconnect the pipe (22). Unscrew and remove the screw (23), taking the rele- vant nut. NOTE The following information refers to one unit only, but is valid for both. Position the vehicle on the stand. Unscrew and remove the screw (1). Antivibration weight screw driving torque: 10 Nm (1.0 kgm). NOTE The following information refers to one unit only, but is valid for both. Remove the antivibration weight unit from the handle- bar, see 7.1.11 (REMOVING THE ANTIVIBRATION WEIGHT).
