Established in 1991 we offer training at every level to mariners at our Training Centre from STCW basic safety training to the 5 week NAEST course. Delegates must produce a valid Doctor's Note or Seafarer's Medical. All students will be asked to fill out a medical questionnaire before the course commences. In particular, for all sea farers assigned safety or pollution prevention duties. People attending this course will gain basic survival training. Specifically, what safety equipment you will find on a vessel under the safety of life at sea (SOLAS) regulations. Participants are expected to gain practical knowledge. As well as an understanding sea survival. The course is split into two parts. The theory part is in the morning. There is a wet drill in the afternoon so you can put into practice what you have been taught. This course is available to private groups only. Target requirements towards your own companies. There are numerous books in print that provide a much better overview of sea survival. There are parts of this book that could end up killing you if followed as described.It gives all the necessary facts and information to keep you save. It has been written to run along side one of their courses. Using both theoretical and physical practice, individuals learn how to provide for basic needs such as food, shelter, and water in non-civilized areas. Trainees must learn to find and properly use natural resources to meet these needs. Below are some of the skills and activities that two select survival courses in France will teach you, for example. This term refers more to groups of people who prepare for emergencies, and situations of social or political disorder, but not necessarily prepare to survive in wilderness conditions without basic necessities. They might stock up on emergency medical supplies, food, and water. They might also prepare shelter which will be resistant to strong weather. For example, some courses are only several hours to one day long, while others are more than week in duration.
