He cares for his phones, having had his previous phone, a Motorola Razr, for years. The same with his iPod, he takes very good care of his stuff. He doesn't get them wet, accidentally wash them, throw them around, leave them exposed to heat or cold, etc. He also keeps a protective case on the phone. Basically he treats his phones with great care. After about 6 months, his Link suddenly went black. It still had power but the screen would not come on. They don't send you a new phone, but instead a refurbished one. So he had the replacement for again 6 to 7 months. This time the keys stopped working correctly. I realize experience may vary, but I've had two of these, both failed within half a year - not good. I would tend to avoid this phone. My family has also owned different Pantech models, and I have run into durability issues on those also, with multiple failures in just a couple of months of ownership. All of our non-Pantech phones seem to last, which makes me think it's the quality not the owner. Based on my exp erience, not a good phone at all!I read reviews and thought I got a good phone at a great price.At this point I can't do anything since I can't return it which sucks.
