Setting the World City As well as setting the Local City previously, you can also select the world city, used to display the time in another city of your choice alongside the Local time. However, in order to avoid accidentally interrupting data transfers, the auto power-off function is disabled while communicating with other devices. Select BACKLIGHT SETUP. The Backlight may remain on for less than a set time duration if the battery level is very low. Note: Do not use the Backlight unnecessarily. Pop-up menus The Organizer’s pop-up menus offer a convenient and efficient method of selecting options from pre-defined lists, similar to many of the latest personal computer application software packages. This symbol appears at the bottom of the display to indicate that the current entry (in View or Edit mode) has been marked as Secret. These symbols indicate that all information in an entry cannot be shown simultaneously on the display. After selecting a number, the first page of help for corresponding topic is displayed. The Tel application will be used for the examples. However, most of the techniques described here can be applied to all of the Organizer’s applications. Opening an Application To start an application, simply press the corresponding key, located on the top of the keyboard. Each display mode has its own unique appearance and particular purpose. Index mode is normally the default view when an application is opened, and provides a summary of the individual entries that have been created. Type in SHARP CORPORATION.Select the desired entry in Index mode.In addition, you can hold any arrow key down for continuous rapid movement. Deleting single entries Open the desired application. Select the entry in Index mode. A confirmation message appears asking if you are sure you want to delete the selected entry. Press any other application key to close the Clock application. For a full explanation of the Clock application, see p.61. Checking the Memory The Organizer has a certain memory capacity in which operations are carried out and data that has been entered, such as phone numbers and memos, are stored. You are strongly recommended to carry out regular “housekeeping” by deleting unwanted or out-of-date information to prevent the memory becoming full. The explanations and examples in this chapter will give you the information you need to make all of the time management features of these applications work for you on a daily basis. Select VIEWS. Select the desired view in the VIEWS menu. Setting the Calendar view You can switch between 1-Month Calendar view and 2-Month Calendar view. Date Calculating You can find and display any date a given number of days before or after a particular date. The date calculating function is only available in 1-Month Calendar view. An entry can be repeated up to 999 times. In this case, type 4 (together with the original entry, the event will occur on five days).Move to the DESCRIPTION field and type Lunch with Sally. This application allows you to organize and track task and objectives, assign them priorities. To help you in this task, entries are identified as TO BE DONE or DONE. The due date can be entered either by typing in the actual date, or by selecting the date from the pop-up calendar and using the arrow keys to select the desired month and day. This operation can be done either using the Daily Calendar, which makes it easy to check completed entries when you check your schedule for the day, or in the To Do application, which lets you check off a task that you have completed before. Updating the Category list You may wish to edit the names of existing categories.Once entered, the dates of annual events are displayed on the Calendar, giving you plenty of warning to prepare for them well in advance every year.http://www.liga.org.ua/content/dynasty-spa-hot-tub-manual These two applications are actually identical in the way that they function, except that they have different default file and field names designed to handle different types of information. The flexibility of these applications allows you to manage a wide range of information, from simple address book to an extensive restaurant guide or even a listing. The current setting is indicated by a tick. Select the desired index item. Each entry comprising 16 text fields. Note that you can rename the file name and the field names according to your preferences. See p.48 for more information on customizing this application. The FILE NAME window appears. Change the file name according to your preferences. This application provides powerful word processing capability in a hand-held device. The Memo Application The Organizer’s Memo application provides you with a simple yet powerful means of recording information, from meeting notes to memorandums and letters. We agree that it is too difficult to answer your questions about our new project properly based on the available information. We will receive the proper documentation within the next week. The Calc (Calculator) can perform calculations on figures entered by using the number keys. The Clock can simultaneously display the day, date, and time in any two cities of your choice. The missing value is displayed in the appropriate field. There are 3 conversion index groups. The first index group comprises eight currency conversion screens in which you can set and edit the exchange rates yourself. Then enter the rate 0.45. Make sure that a maximum of 10 digits can be entered. The following table shows the conversion factors that are preset in your Organizer. The Clock is used as the reference time by the Calendar, Schedule, and To Do applications. Select either CHANGE LOCAL CITY or CHANGE WORLD CITY (it doesn’t matter which you choose). Move to the next field and set any other alarms you want using the same procedure. Each record can contain the category, date, amount, payment type (AMEX, Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, check, cash or two other types of your choice), status and a description of the expenses. Move to the Payment Type field. Select AMEX. Move to the Memo field and use the keyboard to input the description of the expense. Daily or Period expense summaries for entire records or for each payment type can be obtained. Records marked as secret are not included in summaries if the SECRET function is on.Select EXPENSE REPORT. Opens the PAYMENT TYPE window so you can edit the payment type. (see above) Selects the Expense Report function. Selects the specific entries for deletion. (see p.29) This chapter introduces and describes these features, which include text cutting, copying, pasting and many more. Selecting any of these special characters inserts it at the cursor’s current location. It has the flexibility to connect to other Organizers and transfer data to desktop computers using data transfer facilities, which are accessed through the PERIPHERALS menu. In this way, you can back up your information to guard against losing it, or copy information so that you or someone else can work with it on another device. Transferring single entry Single entry can be transferred in all applications. Turn on both Organizers. Open the same application on each Organizer. All entries in the application are transferred. Exchanging data with other Organizers You can receive information from other SHARP Organizers. However, OZ-570 Organizer cannot handle graphic data from other Organizer models. This type of transfer requires the optional cable. Consult the Organizer Link manual regarding subsequent transfer procedures. If you leave the Organizer in PC Link mode, more power is consumed from the batteries than usual, and the auto power off function does not work. The password “SHARP”, for example, is different from the passwords “Sharp” or “sharp”. Choose your password carefully. If you forget your. Open the application containing the entry you want to mark as secret. Display the entry in Edit mode.Select SECRET. The SECRET submenu appears. Select LOCK ORGANIZER.Changing or deleting the password To register a new password, the current one must first be deleted. There are three aspects to change the display: setting the Calendar view, setting the weekly format, and setting the date format. You can use these options to set up a way of working that you prefer. Select DATE FORMAT. A submenu appears. The current selection is marked with a t i c k. Select the desired format. Selecting the Large Font View Since the Organizer’s display is fairly small, you may find the displayed information easier to read if it is changed into a large font view. The first model was the OZ-7000 released in 1989, making it one of the first electronic organizers to be sold. The name OZ-7000 was used for the USA market, while in Europe the device was known as the IQ-7000.A major advertised feature of the model was the IC Cards expansion slot for accessory cards developed by Sharp.A spreadsheet software card capable of handling 26 columns by 999 rows tables compatible with Lotus 1-2-3 was available too.The OZ-8200 was launched at the same time with 128K of internal non-volatile memory. Both models shared the same form factor. A custom fitted leather, padded carrying case was also available for both models. The devices opened in landscape rather than portrait orientation with the IC Cards slot position changed accordingly. Later Wizard organizers were smaller, dispensing with the expansion slot and soon bore little resemblance to the original OZ-7000.The same version of BASIC had been used in later Sharp PDAs, both Wizards and pocket computers such as the Sharp PC-E500S. The line of devices utilizing touch-controlled IC cards had been concluded with the IQ-8500 model. Newer Wizards had an integrated IR transmitter allowing data exchange with PCs or other OZ-9xxx devices. The innovative design had the main features of the initial Zaurus line which continued this PDA family for Sharp. Due to new features, IC Cards for these devices were not backwards compatible with the OZ-7xxx series. They were small, lightweight devices with keyboards but no touch screen running on a Zilog Z80.By using this site, you agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Vasicek 5.0 out of 5 stars The Sharp OZ-590A did the job. The calendar allows you to schedule appointments. By writing the appointment time for 15 mintues before the acutal appointment and setting the alarm beeper, it is a great reminder. The enclosed softward makes it easy to synchronize Sharp OZ-590A with Microsoft Outlook. You can write a list of addresses and phone numbers with the mini-keyboard on the Sharp OZ-590A or using your computer with Microsoft Outlook. By connecting the Sharp OZ with the enclosed cable to your computer, the two will synchronize one another. If you have a Mac, I do not think this would work. The only drawback is that sometimes after synchronizing it freezes up; this is remedied by removing and then replacing the battery. It takes a second. Then you have to check to the clock. If you do not do this quickly, you might have to reset it. This really does the job for me. It is smaller than palm pilots. It's great to have all the addresses and phone numbers you want on your person, to be able to schedule appointments and set reminders. This is a good deal. The used, reconditioned version is even a better deal if they are still available.I ordered a second one and it was non functioning and cannot be returned as they are not sold anymore. It makes me very wary of ordering items from outside vendors. My overall rating would be zero!Yes, I tried a new battery. So far, Sharp support for this product is. er. elusive. No menuie, no usey. I'm PO'd.I just wanted to record some memos. I haven't tried syncing it up to Outlook or anything that complicated. If you think of it merely as just a handy tool to quickly jot down notes, you won't be disappointed. I suspect, from the complaints I've seen about it, when people paid the full price and expected to download emails from Outlook, that's where the product faltered fro them. In all honesty, it would make a great gift for a 10-12 year old. Now, disclaimer away: I think this is a great product. I use it to remind me of meetings, to store the bus schedule, or to write a shopping list. I must say I'm one of those people who likes each thing to do its own job, so I'm really not a big fan of PDAs that play music, connect to the internet, show you where you are, and what not (maybe they'll eventually do your laundry, too; that would be neat!)Thus I bought this personal organizer as an inexpensive alternative to a palm pilot to use just as a calendar, making use of its scheduling function. I also find it easier to input my appointments using Microsoft Calendar on my computer and just sync-ing the organizer, rather than inputing directly into the organizer. I don't use much of the other functions, though available - seem ok.I was wrong on this decision. The printout on the screen is way too light to see without bright light and the background light doesn't help enough. I adjusted the contrast and tried different batteries but it just isn't dark enough. The fake printout covering the screen looks good but its about five times darker than the actual printout the organizer is capable of doing. I returned it. Connect to History O Say Can You See. For more information,In the late 1980s, it began to sell more elaborate “electronic organizers.” This example had a built-in calendar, schedule, listing for telephone numbers, memo pad, world clock, local clock, and calculator. It also was possible to purchase additional “IC cards” which expanded the memory, offered language translation, and provided a dictionary and thesaurus. The device also could be linked to a printer or a microcomputer. A mark above the display reads: 64KB. The serial number of this calculator is: 9703190X. It has a copyright date of 1989. It was not used. This product was a successor to the Sharp PA-7000 organizer, first sold in 1987. We may update this record based on further research and review. All ingredients must be at room temperature. The section inside the filter makes smoothies, soy-milk, porridge or mixes food, while the section outside the filter makes chunky food. The filter is best used to separate the food to be blended, which at the end will become a chunky soup. Ensure the filter touches the bottom securely, and it will then be locked into place by the jug cover. All liquids and stocks used must be at room temperature rather than warm or hot when put into the jug. Under filling the soup maker jug will result in the sensor being triggered and the unit failing to operate. Do not unlock or remove the lid as this will stop the program. Otherwise, once finished, the soup maker will sound an audible alarm and will stop heating. Take care when removing the lid from the jug, as it will be very hot and will release steam.
