But this book really breaks down the main points and gets straight to it. The infrormation in this book is somewhat helpful, and informative but not nearly enough to pass the ACE EXAM as the publishers claim. One of the problem is that alot of questions on the ACE exam are illogical or seem to have numerous correct answers or questions where they all seem to be incorrect and you have to determine which questionis the most correct or the least incorrect. There is no way around it.in order to study and pass the ACE PT training exam you need to have the ACE Training Manual, Essential's of Exercise Science for Fitness Professionals, and the Mastering the Manual workbook. I also purchased the ACE flashcards and two of their online practce exams. It wasn't until I had taken the first free practice exam that I realized how illogically their test questions were designed. I would've saved alot of money by just buying the most basic ACE study bundle from the beginning, but I've always tested well and had already purchased the ACSM study manual, an NASM training book, and about 1,000 practice questions from ACTION personal training.therefore, I thought I should have been adequately prepared. I can surmise that each of the major NCCA accredited training certifications are so sytemetically different that it is best to purchase whichever organization's study material it is for that respective test. I'd also suggest taking each organizations proprietary practice tests so that you get an ideal of the methodology and logic of the qustions which they design for their test. Altough, I spent much more money than I had originally planned, I'm glad I trusted my instincts and purchased the online ACE materials. Fortunately, I put enough time in studying and taking practice exams to enable me to pass the test on the first attempt. In addition, despite the fact that I had found some flaws in their test design, ACE has a large quantity of additional programs and resources which I've found to be of tremendous value. In addition, the ACE certification is among the most highly regarded in the fitness industry and was well worth the time and effort.It was easy to understand and I will go back to it for refreshers. This study guide also has a practice test at the end that is VERY similar to the real exam. I definitely recommend getting this book to accompany the ACE materials.This is the one to buy!!
