Kiersten Marsicano 2.0 out of 5 stars The sample questions have completely wrong answers that are contradicted by the book itself. This isn’t helpful when doing the questions because I don’t know what is right and wrong for topics I’m not strong on. It has many typos, repeated sections, and grammatical errors. The index page numbers are completely wrong and makes it very difficult to look up specific topics. This book was very disappointing and almost isn’t worth the time or money. As a practicing pharmacist who took the MPJE to relocate, I found it very useful. I hope a new edition is coming out soon because the law is ever-changing and this is already a couple of years old.

Now like most people who take the MPJE will tell you, I was sure I failed it as I walked out of the testing center, but I did pass. Since this was my main resource for studying federal law, along with reading the laws themselves, it must have done some good. A good number of review questions in the text, plus a practice exam at the end. This is a great reference, but I wonder if the authors have started to mail it in when it comes to updating this every year. There are more typos as you peruse through it, slowly detracting from the credibility of the book as a whole. While I can move past the editing job in the meat and potatoes section of the book, where I draw the line is the test bank in the back of the book. Now this is an easy to spot error, but what about the not so easy to spot errors. If you're buying the book strictly for the test bank, don't, otherwise I think it's still worth a few bucks to get the info as I hope only the test questions are in error.Unfortunately there's no CO study guide, so I'm starting with federal law then reading the 250 pages of state law posting on the CO govt website (ugh). I've read about 100 pages of this book and it is a VERY helpful review of key concepts from my pharmacy law class. They give pointers as to what they will not ask on the exam, which definitely helps weed out senseless memorizing. This will definitely be staying on my book shelf for future use. However, if you had a decent law class in school, most of this book is redundant. There are hundreds of practice questions in the back - which I though I would love. I would pass on buying this book unless you need a review of very basic law.A lot of great questions that helped me apply the laws that may sometimes seem confusing. A little updated in the Controlled Substances section since patients (and prescribers) can now request partial fills on CIIs, and refill the remaining within 30 days (per Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act of 2016). I emailed the publisher about this so hopefully it'll be updated. Overall, great investment and I highly recommend for anyone about to take their MPJE.I’m not sure I would just use this book to study though had I not had an entire class on Pharmacy law. Several typos and a few missing answers in the answer key. I read through this book twice and reviewed my state’s laws for 2 weeks prior to the AL MPJE and I passed. I mainly bought it for the practice questions.Page 1 of 1 Start over Page 1 of 1 In order to navigate out of this carousel please use your heading shortcut key to navigate to the next or previous heading. Cuz I couldn't find enough material on state law so the federal law book was handy. I highly recommend this book. Well worth the price.I took the Oregon mpje-- and used the website of board of pharmacy and school notes to help me for the stat exam. Good luck!!!I used it to study for my. I used it to study for my MPJE for Florida and Kentucky along with state board of pharmacy guidelines from state websites. It's great to have this book as a reference and to study for MPJE.It really is a benefit to have questions at the end of each chapter as well. For those taking the MPJE, this is truly a must buy. At the end of the book there are about 250-300 questions with answers for practice. They focus on the laws and amendments thigh through questions about the Acts, and luckily none of those appeared on my exam, but that was the only thing that I didn't need to focus on as much.It was great for studying for the MPJE in Oklahoma and I'm sure elsewhere. Easy to read and formatted nicely.Helped so much Helped so much. I wish we had used this book during school. I used it to study for MPJE. Loads of practice questions. Very concise. I recommend to anyone taking the mpje. The top shows tons of damaged pages. This is unacceptable.Head and shoulders above other review material i used. Makes it tough to use to study when you can't trust the answers they give, would not recommend. Several errors in the book. Verisign. Published by: Apothecary Press on 2016-05-07. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness. It was well organized and easy to read. The multiple choice questions at the end of each chapter as well as those at the end of the book were helpful in reinforcing content from all chapters. There are over 300 questions and excellent study tips. The study tips are points you're recommended to know and memorize for the MPJE. My only criticism of the book is that it omitted information on Medicare Part D. There were questions on the subject in the final group of questions at the end of the book, but no chapter or information on the subject to study from. Maybe it was just my copy or is missing from all copies made, I can't say. Medicare Part D did come up frequently on the MPJE when I took the exam. I would use a secondary resource when studying for Medicare Part D. Aside from that, this book is great. I am glad to say that I did in fact pass my MPJE (score of 84) and I owe a large part of that to reading and studying from this book.It also had notes at the end of many sections will little testing hints and things to focus on or a short way to remember what you just read. Highly recommended to any Pharmacist needing to take the MPJE in any state. It's dry reading and not very thrilling but it gets the job done and there are nice little helpful tips inside from the authors. I would recommend this book to anyone who is taking the MPJE or exam and pharmacy law class. Its a perfect book for federal law in pharmacy practice which will be helpful for all state law exam(s).I think it would have been more better if I brought the latest 7th edition.New medicare regulations are not discussed in this book. It is obvious that people have been looking for something new that meets the kids’ needs.” At one point the editorial development department was subdivided into market areas, and Zanzig was named the senior editor of parish high school and junior high school religious education. His marketing efforts, primarily through extensive travel doing countless workshops and conference presentations, also continued to grow. As the research phase of the revision process began, the staff believed that it was a solid program that just needed some updating. However, the research revealed that the needs of those using the program—both the students and their catechists—had changed. So the staff decided they needed to replace, rather than revise, Sharing. Tom was again asked to be the managing editor of the project. Significantly, few publishers would even consider such an approach, since most of the profits generated by educational materials come from student materials sold in large numbers each year. Once again, the Press took an uncharted path based on its assessment of pastoral needs. Zanzig and Marilyn Kielbasa, a friend whom Tom had earlier recruited to join the staff, served as coeditors on the project. Together they followed a team-oriented process similar to the one used for Discovering. It was an ambitious and difficult project. Ttitled the Horizons Program, the curriculum consists of thirty separate minicourses plus video-based teacher training resources, a large Director’s Manual, and binder of youth ministry strategies to complement the content of the courses. From start to finish, the project took almost six years. This was one of the first signs that the field of religious publishing, as well as Tom’s career, had started to shift. Based on the theology and pastoral practices of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), and drawing upon strategies initially created for Horizons, the program was very well received and, in its revised version, continues to be used in parishes throughout the country. “Over the years I have heard more positive feedback on the road about the confirmation program than any other thing I’ve done, probably because every parish has to do confirmation,” Zanzig says. “The whole point of it was to take initiation theology from the RCIA and build on it. We tried to create ritual movements to parallel the RCIA without re-creating them.” The Roman Catholic catechetical world was about to undergo a tectonic shift that would radically affect the entire Catholic publishing world. Toward the end of the 1990s, the U.S. bishops moved to directly regulate the publication of catechetical texts and, in the process, precipitated a serious crisis for Saint Mary’s Press. Grounded in research on adolescent faith development, the guiding principle of Saint Mary’s Press model was that the situation of the students—their level of cognitive, psychological, and social development, their cultural context, their past experiences, their dreams for the future—ought to influence the presentation of the Catholic faith. Key characteristics of that model include God’s expansive love and mercy, and a non-presumptive stance—that is, one that does not presume faith on the part of adolescents. The materials developed by Saint Mary’s Press often focused more on the task of evangelization ( proclaiming the Good News to adolescents who have yet to receive it) than on the task of catechesis (deepening the understanding of those who have already made an act of faith). In fact, many of the principles of that model were echoed by the General Catechetical Directory that the Vatican issued in 1971.
