Those dimensions are overall, which is good to know if you have space constraints. But they are also confusing and misleading. I think the length and width dimensions should be interchanged. A few observations about differences between the Amazon photo and the press I received: My pressure gauge seems to be a bit nicer than the one shown in the photo. The Dake nameplate, which appears to be aluminum in the photo is actually a cheap sticker. Bolts are plated (metric grade 8.8) instead of black. I added flat washers under all the bolt heads to keep them from gouging the powder-coat paint. The product description says hydraulic oil is not included, but my system came filled. The instruction manual (which may be downloaded from the Dake website) is written clearly. The pressure release knob has a nice feel, and I stopped at every ton mark while letting the pressure down to measure bed deflection. Having a pressure gauge was one of my requirements as they are not always easy to retrofit. There is quite a bit of deflection in the bed (which is my biggest complaint). A center gusset would have been a nice addition. The two included table plates are a bit thin and deformable at maximum tonnage. There are check valves built into the ram and pump hose so they can be disassembled without leaking or admitting air. I really like that the hydraulic system uses a standard quick-disconnect fitting. I made an in-situ bearing puller using the Dake pump and a Greenlee hole-punch ram. I greatly appreciate that the ram has an internal return spring. The thought of having a Chinese-made external spring that close to my face makes me uneasy. In addition to the press itself, I received a bag of hydraulic seals and O-rings. A nice addition, but I hope it is not an indication they will soon be needed. Although the benchtop unit is probably adequate for my needs, I considered just making longer rails if I ever needed the capacity of the Dake F-10 press. But the channel is a metric size (80mm) and not readily available where I live. Friends suggested that I simply build my own press. Perhaps I should have, but that obviously takes time away from other projects.Is it the best press out there?.No.but unless you plan on spending serious money for something that you won't use this is a quality press. Shipping was very quick. The biggest complaint I have is that the gauge on mine does not line up perfectly as it should, hence the 4 star as opposed to 5, but really I am being picky and if you are doing automotive things like wheel bearings or homeowner stuff this will be more press than you need. I have done wheel bearings on 3 vehicles and a couple of spindle decks and a hydraulic pump bearing so its still relatively new but it feels like it is going to hold up for a very long time.When I saw this Dake press I immediately decided to purchase it because I was sure the build quality was going to be great. I was not disappointed. It was easy to assemble and use. I decided to use it on a wheel bearing that needed to be pressed out and a new one to be pressed in. It took 30 minutes to completely finish the task and it all went smoothly without any issues. Great product for good price. Definitely recommend.The box was just broken small parts and bolts still inside the box, a small wooden frame inside the box might solve that problem. Instructions could have been useful, they are not, however if you buy and plan to use this tool you probably can figure out how to assemble the parts. I replaced the original pressure gage with a precision model and added a tons of force scale to the gage dial. LarryIt's very likely that you can generate more pressure with the hand operated pump than the motor powered one. You're just doing it a lot slower. WWQThe pump can cause damage to the press if the relief valve is set too high, or if the press is one of those flimsy machines that are rated at the yeild point of the beams.Easy way is to look at your cylinder size.The screw adjusting wheel is jammed on the screw so it can't be adjusted. SECETAL: I have completely rebuilt my 25H to include replacing the screw (mine was bent by a trade school where I bought it). I will have to look at my press and manual to remember how to get it apart but I will try to do this tonight and give you a reply tomorrow. This is not necessary for replacing the screw though. Here is what I remember about the screw: Jack the ram down an inch or two and leave it there.The screw has a keyway cut about half of its' length and when the key hits the end of the keyway you are at the full extension of the screw. You may have partially sheared this key and will have fun removing it. I will look at mine tonight to be sure there is nothing more to do. I remember replacing my screw after I rebuilt the press and it was not necessary to go into the cylinder so I think I have the proceedure described correctly. If you do need a new screw, you can make one from a A193-B7 stud bolt. I bought one from a local bolt store but MSC has them cheaper.
