Relevant worklists appear on the left-hand side and patients that belong to your census appear on the right-hand side. As you move the cursor around the Portal, tool-tips display to describe each icon. Also, the cursor changes from an arrow to a hand symbol anywhere you can click to display additional information or to be taken to the appropriate workflow. The top left-hand corner displays the name of the user who is currently logged in. The nurse station, which is displayed after the user name, is defined based on your login.

By clicking on the nurse station (example: 2S as pictured above), you can change the nurse station as needed to view patient census on a different unit. Listed below are various components and descriptions of the Portal screen. If your nurse station is already selected, from the Portal Screen, you would click on your selected nurse station as follows: The Entity Selection dialog box will display. From the Portal, select your patient using one of the methods in section D. above. 2. Navigate to the Patient Record screen. Included below is a description of the screen components: The patient header appears in the upper section of patient specific screens. The patient specific screen should be displayed. Example: In the example above, the patient’s Laboratory results are displayed for up to the Last 12 Occurrences. Results can be displayed for date range, time range or last 12 occurrences. You would click on one of the circled descriptions pictured above to change the displayed selection. Holy Redeemer Intranet The Holy Redeemer Intranet link will launch Internet Explorer and the Holy Redeemer Intranet will display. The Intranet is a localized website (can only be viewed on the HRHS network) which provides various reference material for employees, including online Education, HIPAA information, Human Resource links, Medical Reference links and more. IV WL Print The IV WL Print link is for printing the IV Worklist (can only be printed after 11pm). The main window provides a link to Quick Reference Card, User Guide and Training Videos. It would allow you to send a message to Medical Records to request a recent discharge to be retrieved for use in patient care. The message will print on the Medical Records printer. Medical Records would reply that the record is available for them to pickup from the Med. Rec. Dept, or if the record is online, they would communicate that the record is available for viewing on virtual medical records system (separate login and password needed for Virtual Medical Records; this is assigned by Medical Records). Use this pathway to obtain a hard-copy report of patient names. INPATIENT REPORT WITH CURRENT DIAGNOSIS - This pathway prints a list of patients who have been admitted to the hospital. This report also contains information about each patient (nurse station, room and bed, current diagnosis, patient number, patient status). SCHEDULED ADMISSIONS - This pathway prints a list of patients who are scheduled to be admitted to the hospital. NURSING WORKSHEET I - This pathway prints a list of patients on a desired nurse station with the patient name and room number listed. NURSING WORKSHEET II - This pathway is the same as above, except that lines or columns appear. Often used for taking report.
