I've come to know individuals who have been initially denied clearances because of their pasts, and then with this book, get past that initial rejection. That is because this book explains in detail the steps you must take to explain your past, on each of the sections, in a full and fair amount of disclosure, including past drug, alcohol, driving, financial and other transgressions that, at one time or another, many individuals do to themselves. No this book is not going to help you hide any of it.but this book will help you explain yourself and your past in a full and transparent way so that a clearance officer can make a determination, if you indeed learned your lesson(s) from your past life. That is one of the issues with a clearance. Does your past and now, perhaps better behavior, predict your future in terms of being or not being compromised and thus you may or may not be prone to not keeping government secrets secret.
