If the application is running the background of a phone or tablet, you will not be able to watch Netflix on your TV. It is a good idea to disconnect the devices you are not using to allow for additional bandwidth. Check from the TV’s physical location to get an accurate internet bandwidth available to the TV. If your router is set up to use various IP addresses or you are using a proxy server, your Netflix account will not work. You can check to see if a new firmware is available by visiting www.SharpUSA.com. The quicker the ping time (which includes upload and download speed and time), the faster your TV will connect to Netflix. If you are not sure of your ping time, please go to www.speedtest.net on your computer or mobile phone to check. Click here (links to How do I reset my Netflix Account?) to learn more about resetting your Netflix account on your TV. If the signal strength is less than 3 bars, your router will need to be moved closer to the TV. You can also try resetting the router. We suggest for best results that the TV have a signal strength of 3 or more bars and is less than 15 feet (with no obstructed views, such as multiple walls) from the TV.Follow the steps below to fix the issue: This setting allows only certain devices to connect to the wireless network. If you are using this option, either disable this feature or add the TV’s MAC address to the list of connected devices. This should only be done temporarily and for testing purposes. If the wired connection works, the router may be defective and may need to be serviced. Please contact the routers manufacturer for more information. LoneRanger1975 This is a fantastic LCD TV and buddies of mine who have LCDs from Sony and Hitatchi all thought the picture on the Sharp was a 1080p. That's how good it looks. My set is hung up in a brightly lit room with plenty of sun yet this is not a problem. Football and baseball looked fantastic. So did the Olympics. The definitiion is excellent. The only issues I had with the Sharp are these: If you use a over the air TV source this unit does not display the free OTC channel guides that other units do. This can be a little annoying since another LCD I have does just that with OTC signals and I don't keep the newspaper around just for what's up next. Also this unit lacks picture-in-picture which kind of sucsk when watching two football or baseball games at once. Not a huge issue on eithr one due to the price. Just two features that would have been a nice bonus. When I first connected the TV up to the existing cable I had a problem keeping the signal constant. Once I powered it on the status box would reappear in the top right corner of the screen. I moved the TV to a different location, inside the apartment, and the problem didn't reoccur. When connected to the cable in the apartment everything was GREAT with TV. Discovered a bad connector in the motorhome cabling and the TV works great there now.Ya couldn't ask for a smoother transaction. When I showed up to the store to pick it up, it was ready and waiting. They even offered to carry it out for me. Of course being a man, my ego wouldn't allow that.
