Call a Phone Nu mber with Pause s You can dial or sav e phone numbers with pauses for use with automa ted systems, such as voicemail or credit card bi lling numbers. There are tw o types of pauses availabl e on your phone: ? 2-Sec. Pause auto matically sends the nex t set of numbe rs after tw o seconds. ? Wait wi ll wait for your co nfirmation to send the rest of the di g its whe n r eached. Note: You can have m ultiple pau ses in a phone number and combine tw o -second and hard pauses. Pause or A dd Wait. 2. Enter additional numbers. 3. Enhanced 911 (E911) Infor mation This phone featu res an embedded Global Posi tioning System (GPS) chip necessary for util izing E911 emer g ency location servi ces where available. When you place an emergency 911 call, t he GPS featu re of your phone seeks in f ormation to calculate your approx imate location. Dependin g on several variabl es, including avail ability and access to satelli te signals, it may take up t o 30 seconds or more to determine and report your approximate location. Important: Always report your location to the 911 operator w hen placing an emergency call. Some designated emergency call takers, known as Publ ic Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), may not be e q uipped to recei ve GPS location information from your phone. Call Using Wi -Fi Calli ng Wi -Fi Calli ng allows y ou to make and receive phon e calls over a W i-Fi connection when there is no service. To make W i-Fi Calling with your phone, you must f irst activ ate Advanced Calling from the settings menu. See Advanced Ca lling. Once Advanced Cal ling is enabled, you can activate W i-Fi Calli ng. Note: Activation re q uires a val i d US address for E91 1 functionality and a cell ular data or W i-Fi network connection. Read the message carefully and scroll down the screen. You can change your location any time by usin g the call se t tings menu. See Update Your Emergency Address. Make a Wi-Fi Call Once W i-Fi Call ing is enabl ed, you can ma k e a call ev en when mobile net work is not available. Note: Verify you are currently connected to a Wi-Fi calling enabled W i-Fi network. Enter a phone numbe r or select a contact from Contacts or Call history, and then press 1. the SEND key. Confirm the W i-Fi Calling icon displ ays in the status bar. 2. Note: Wi -Fi Calli ng is automati cally turned off when you are out o f Wi- Fi range. Read the mess age and then select Turn off Wi - Fi Call i ng. Your phone noti f ies you o f incoming calls in the following w a ys. The phone ri ng s or vi brates. ? The LED ind icator flashes. ? End Phone Calls When you are f inished wi t h a call, make sure t hat y ou disconnect correctly. After you hav e f inished you r call, the phone w ill display the caller’s na me (if already in your Contacts), phone nu mber (if available), the dura t ion o f the call, and the f ollow ing options. ?
