In conclusion, if you need a quality but inexpensive corded phone with lots of good features, look no further.It does not have caller ID but that's okay because I had the caller ID box attached to the old phone and I have it attached to this new phone now. The phone is perfectly clear on the line and the speaker phone is loud and clear as well. You can turn the volume up and down on the phone and it affects the handset and the speaker. I love that! Highly recommended!I work in a private office, yet half the people and more than half of the IVRs (voice activated phone menus) cannot understand me when I use the speaker phone. I can hear them fine, but that doesn't matter if they cannot hear me. Also, I guess this is true with most speaker phones, I cannot start a call on the speakerphone unless I put in batteries. What is different is the batteries seem to get used up much faster than with my previous speaker phone. Another minus is that there is no indication when someone is using another phone on the line. Most phones have an LED that lights up when the line is in use, but not this one.Fine for regular handset use. We purchased it primarily for use with a headset for hands free call use. With the handset it includes it was fine, so if that's all you need then it'll be okay. The speaker phone part was great too. BUT when we plugged in our headset (actually we tried several to rule out the possibility it was the headset) the volume was awful. It could be adjusted and several people we had calls with complained they couldn't hear us. Again, this was using at least 2 different headsets to make sure it wasn't them.
