That original worked fine until it disappeared, so my guess is nothing is wrong with the TV. Being a slightly obsessive engineer, I read the manual for the TV regarding the remote. No special sync. is required. No instructions were included with the remote. More cheap junk from a no-name Chinese manufacturer. And this gets the Amazon recommendation? Wow!The decals start to peel after just a few days and the remote has a super short range even with brand new batteries. Its truly a piece of junk.This worked fine out of the box without programming but it's starting to die on me. The buttons are a little hard to push especially if you have arthritis. The remote also has white scratches along the body and the buttons are not pure white.I give it 3 stars for working sometimesI made sure it was the right model before I bought which might be why others said it didn't work. It does look a little cheaper and is lighter than the original, but all the buttons work and it's a tv remote. No complaints for meIt worked great until tonight when the back channel selection stopped functioning. I am the only person that has access to this remote and it does not get excessive use. I would expect more than 6-months of use from a remote control. Based on the recent reviews, it appears that I am not in the minority concerning a dissatisfaction with this product.
