Yesterday I was using my pressure washer and water start coming out from the inside of the gun, I was thinking a o-ring but due the high pressure and the bad poor quality of the parts the valve opens in half (2 parts plastic modling). I CALLED KARCHER SERVICE AND WARRANTY, and they said I have to.pay for the part and the shipping. Attached is the proof of payment in full. The lady in the phone said the only part with warranty is the pump and it will be exchanged with a refurbished in case of fail. I also told her my soap container doesn't works and she said I have to pay shipping and they will repair and provide a new bill. Please Amazon remove 3 years warranty your offering.And my older Karcher Deck and Driveway Surface Cleaner, T250 worked perfectly with the K5.540, but the Karcher 8.755-848.0 Hard Surface Cleaner for this rig (with its newly adopted universal connectors (I prefer the older Karcher ones) tore up my wood deck. Its jets are too strong for anything other than concrete. But the REAL reason this rig only gets 1 star is the epic-fail design of the CFI circuit breaker of the power cord; it constantly overheats and shuts the rig down by breaking and turning off the rig time-and-time again. Gah! Even after being left to cool down overnight. I thought I had a faulty unit, so I returned the first one that I got at Home Depot and re-purchased it on Amazon, but nope; same thing; it keeps shutting down by breaking the circuit in the power-cord.Water comes out from the handle, you are basically giving yourself a shower. Our family owned a pressure wash company for 10 years, I have used units most my life. We had used high end commercial units and why this is a residential unit there are some great things. I like that all even the low end washer comes on wheel thats a plus as the do not force you to upgrade for wheels well done. Installation. 15 minutes or less. The unit comes double boxed so is extra protected, each unit is packed well and is a snap. Why most will figure it out there are two washers for the wheels and why the picture shows the washers on both sides it doesn't say it. So if you have wobbly wheels check the washers are on both sides. There are only a few parts to put on the gun, the hose, the wheels and the hose adapter. Its pretty solid although the wheel construction seems the same from the 1700 to the 2000 model and they get heavier as they go up so there is no reviews of wheels failing but they should be heavier built in my opinion for the 1900 and 2000 as they are noticeably heavier units. The hoses have rubber O-rings advice to use some spit or water on them before installing these o-ring will tend to dry out in factory so light water no oil that will ruin them, but water on install will make them last longer and wont snag on install. As 99 of all washer hose leaks can be because of that 10cent O-ring if you are taking the pressure line off and on advice buying extras as they will wear out, my setup was 10 minutes. Usage: Right after install I used the unit. A good idea on use or after storage is: turn on water ( power off and unplugged ). Now turn on power and make sure the tip is on. The unit is pretty quiet so hearing protection is not needed in my opinion. I have semi-low pressure at my older home but the pump work great. I used this for cleaning my truck and some moss removal. If you are going to wash a car, boat, RV, or even side walks pressure washer work well if the surface is wet or damp some people think a pressure washer is weak when its used cause it take long to remove a desired surface. We found pressure washing in the rain was great if you do it with this electric unit make sure its under something that keeps rain off like a porch. Pre lathering a vehicle helps remove the crud, you do not want on car paint to sit there holding the pressure washer until dirt is gone as you could easily damage clear coat so a pre-light wash or use the soap option on the unit before is a great way. Pro's: Easy install Great price under 200.00 for the K1900 shipped free via Prime. Light weight but built tough. Comes with soap option. Built in surge protection. Storage for parts and extra want extension. Quiet, easy to use. 3 year warranty. Con's: I thought wheels could be heavier The pressure hose ends are plastic and over time may wear out. No extra holes for extra tips if you buy them. Longer pressure hoses if you buy them cant be stored on the unit. Overview my cons are based on my professional use and for a home residential unit its expected and normal. I wish it did have a longer hose, and the unit with the reel ( K2000 ) wont allow longer hoses either stored. But again this is a home unit. All I can say is wow, for under 200.00 and free shipping this works very well, its built tough sturdy. And another wow is the 3 year warranty that unheard of on home units but there it is. I bought my unit to wash my cars in the drive way and clear gutters etc it does concrete well when I tested it too. This is not a commercial unit but I would say its a very nice best built home unit I have ever seen, there are some commercial unit that are not as nice as this unit. Its built smart and thought out. There should be other tip holes but thats ok. I would say out of the line up the K1900 is best the K2000 would be great if it came with a much longer hose having a reel doesn't really do it for me. But the K-1900 is better then other units, its heavier then the lower models and my guess is a better pump. The company should state that because a good selling point is a better pump and heavier stuff. Now I have only had this for one use and I am not worried as it has a 3 year warranty, read the storage and cleaning references and it will last a long time. There are many units out there but as a professional who bought this for his home, I would say this is the best deal, and the best built.We tried to use it the final time and found that there was no pressure from the gun and the nozzle would just leak water rather than spray it. Everywhere in the description as you can see says 3-Year Warranty. When we contacted them for warranty service, they said they would replace the Gun. Told us it would ship within two weeks. Two months later we're still waiting and are told anytime we call that it should be arriving daily. There is nothing really special about this unit, its a pressure washer like any other. My advice is to purchase a unit from a company that actually cares about their product and the customers satisfaction with their product. I called amazon few minutes ago. I'm very pleased, the lady i spoke with was very nice and professional, the problem has been solved.Nice pressure and easily maneuvered. 3 yeat warranty, diffetent nozzles, complete package. RecommendedPut it away in early October in the basement just to be safe, a few days later I noticed what I thought was water but turns out to be something oily. Plugged it in today and it's not working properly for some reason. Will give me my pressure when I squeeze the handle but after about 15 or 20 seconds of use it starts to act funny with pressure dropping and then coming back, not sure what the issue is I guess I will see how good their three year warranty is. While I like the unit I am not very happy with its durability or reliability.This machine really works so far, have washed everything i own and now its being used to scrub the cottage deck with excellent results. I had another (wax company - Simon says) brand name machine that broke down almost every time i used it, its now sitting in pieces ready for the dump. I replaced it with this one which cost far less and works far better. Here are the things you should check first: - Make sure your garden hose and high pressure hose are not kinked, leaking, or blocked in anyway and that the water is turned on full force and supplying the correct amount of water outlined in your owner's manual. - Remove the water inlet filter and make sure it is free of debris. - Check the trigger gun and nozzles. They should be clean as well. If you have completed these steps and the washer is still fluctuating from high to low pressure, there may be air trapped in the pump. To bleed the pump of any air, turn the machine off and disconnect the high pressure hose and trigger gun from your power washer. With only the garden hose connected to the machine, turn on your water source and allow water to run through the pump of the machine for 20 or 30 seconds. Turn off the water and connect the high pressure hose and trigger gun and try using the machine again. Although the pressure washer featured in the video is gas powered, most of the steps apply to electric pressure washers as well. For Electric Machines Often times, a machine producing low pressure will surge, cycle on and off, or continue to run. This typically indicates that the machine is losing pressure somewhere, such as a leak in one of the lines or inside the case of the machine. The machine tries to compensate for this leak by running harder or more often than it should. Electric machines under warranty may be exchanged through our Rapid Exchange Program by calling 1 800 537 4129. For more information about the program go here: If it is outside of the warranty period and you are mechanically inclined, you can attempt to pinpoint where the leak is and replace the part. Some service centers will work on electric machines, so you may want to contact a local service center. Though be aware, with the cost of parts and labor, going to a service center may be more expensive than replacing the machine. After checking the above items, the next place to look is the unloader or spill valve. This valve may be sticking in place and usually needs to be cleaned and lubricated with lithium grease. The location of the unloader valve varies on our pumps, but it is always located on the brass pump head. Be sure not to remove the bolts that connect the head of the pump to the transmission housing. Usually the unloader valve can be found under the black plastic cap. Though if your machine does not have this cap, it is located under the hexagonal nut closest to the transmission housing. For machines with a pressure regulator, it is located under the pressure dial. Once you have removed the unloader, you want to inspect it to be sure that the o-rings and spring are in good shape. If there are any mineral deposits on the unloader or in the hole it sits in, you will want to clean these up with a little vinegar and a wire brush. Then, apply a small amount of lithium grease to the top o-ring on the unloader and reassemble the pump. Your eCTM will be stored in that account.
