jpi 700 edm manualAdd almost any option you can think of, including fuel flow, temp, and pressure senders. See our option list below. Think of the EDM 700 as your personal flight engineer. It’s always there, working in the background, constantly watching over your engine while you concentrate on flying the aircraft. You can make an entire flight without ever pushing a button, if you so choose. Yet your EDM-700 will be monitoring your engine parameters three times a second and will warn you instantly if any parameter exceeds the programmed limit. With the EDM it is now possible to have substantially more diagnostic information available to you in a timely and usable manner. Because an instrument displays 1 degree increments (resolution) does not mean it is accurate to 1 degree. JPI’s accuracy comes from its linearized thermocouples. Other’ put and estimating straight line through the center of the thermocouple calibration “S” curve. With this method the instrument is accurate at only three points along as the the straight line crosses the “S” curve. JPI has found nothing in the Aviation market that compares to our linearized accuracy. Problem codes are displayed. Records 26 functions not 16 like UGB-16. Record rate 2 to 255 seconds. FAA approved for all EDMs including 9 cylinder Twins. This format frees up valuable panel space. OAT option can be in oC or oF. See Web page for results. Maximum cooling rate shown in degrees per minute. Dot over column identifies cylinder with highest cooling rate. The UBG-16 checks only ONE cylinder on a 6 cylinder engine. Bars are in 10o increments. None of the competition is TSO’d. TSO quality permits JPI to offer a Three year Warranty. ICA is not required. Maintenance of nonfunctioning or malfunctioning components is limited to removal and replacement of JPI factory supplied new or repaired components as described in the troubleshooting section of the installation instructions.https://www.growthvest.com/UserFiles/just-cause-2-manual-pc.xml

If neither is required equipment on the equipment list, then you can use an instrument which isn’t approved for primary information, if that matters. If you need primary information, then I’d opt for the 711, but not sure if the 800 would be preferable. I’ve no experience with the 800, but looking at the information on their web site, I don’t see a lot of additional information that would be all that useful. I find that the faster probe response combined with the “overlean” graph capabilities make the EDM 700 simply better. Getting free software with an actually functioning data recording option is just the icing on the cake. I watched it closely as I proceeded to Biloxi. I concluded it was likely a plugged fuel injector. When I landed I removed, cleaned and reinstalled the fuel injector. Problem pin pointed and solved by the 700. Excellent investment for any aircraft Using the latest microprocessor technology, the EDM will monitor up to twenty-four critical parameters in your engine, four times a second. With the EDM it is now possible to have substantially more diagnostic information available to you in a timely and usable manner. The EDM collects data and displays it for you in a useful way. The EDM 700 displays temperature digitally and in analog format. The EGT as displayed is based on probes located near the exhaust outlet for each cylinder and the TIT probe, if installed, is adjacent to the turbo charger. These probes are not necessarily collocated with the primary probes therefore; EDM 700 may not indicate the same as the aircraft primary instruments. Below the vertical columns the specific value for EGT and CHT are displayed digitally. The dot over the column indicates which cylinder's digital information is presently displayed. The missing bars at the base of the columns indicates the hottest and coldest Cylinder Head temperature trend. During Lean Find mode the leanest cylinder is displayed along with the fuel flow (optional) at that time. Depressing the LF and STEP button simultaneously brings up the adjustable scan rate function, OAT in oC or oF. The EDM 800 instrument has all the advanced functions of the EDM 700, but incorporates some new features like Horse Power and Manifold Pressure. There are new easy readable digits located at the top of the EDM display which continuously show the percentage of horsepower being used and can also display your RPM. Now you can be sure that you are within the horsepower limits of your engine, and in IFR conditions, this can be quite a task. The EDM 800 comes standard with Fuel Flow (201B or 231 Transducer is included), CHT (Probes included), EGT (Probes included), RPM (sensor included), MAP (Sensor included), OAT (Probe included), Flight Data Memory (can store up to 25 hrs.In addition a useful options such as TIT, Oil Temp, CRB, CDT and IAT are available for your engine. There are no field adjustments and or calibration requirements for the EDM-series instrument after initial installation. ICA is not required. Maintenance of nonfunctioning or malfunctioning components is limited to removal and replacement of JPI factory supplied new or repaired components as described in the troubleshooting section of the installation instructions. With the EDM acting as a flight engineer, you can enjoy improved fuel economy, reduced maintenance costs, and extended engine life. Leave all boxes unchecked for unit only. All cores must be sent direct to JPI.It was so worth the extra time and money. Much more information at a glance, not to mention it was a plug and play upgrade. Very good bang for the buck in my opinion!! Don't hesitate, upgrade. I've been flying with EDM-800 for several years and have loved it. Recently a few of the number segments stopped working, but instead of repairing it, I upgraded to EDM-830. Absolutely LOVE it! A lot more info at a glance. Much prettier full color display. If you're thinking about it, then BUY it! The EDM 930 is a primary engine monitor replacement. You can add options at any time such as oil temp or oil pressure if you currently do not have those options installed. For more information please see our videos tab for the JPI 730. The depth of the EDM 700 is 8 inches. The JPI website indicates that the 730 and 700 use different FF harnesses, but the same transducer. Would I have to buy a new harness if upgrading to the 730. If so, would I be better off upgrading to the 830? The same applies to the 830, however you will have to order and install the extra options that are available with the 830. Will my wire harness plug into the JPI 730? New monitor, new paperwork. Please request it at checkout. The STC is available for download directly from the JPI website. What guardian CO monitor will integrarte with the EDM 730? We have no compatibility information on interfaces with the EDM 730. When I order the 730, do I need to add these as options. JPI suggested I do not and that the options are only for the sensors and wires, and that the units are otherwise the same and will detect the correct inputs. However, the fuel flow without transducer option makes it sound like that is incorrect? The 730 will detect the correct inputs from your 700 sensors and transducer. You cannot upgrade the 700 to the 830 as you are missing all the optional engine add-ons to make it an 830. Your only option is to update the 730 and buy all the addition JPI engine add-ons All rights reserved. Prices subject to change without notice. Invoice currency USD. ICA is not required. Maintenance of nonfunctioning or malfunctioning components is limited to removal and replacement of JPI factory supplied new or repaired components as described in the troubleshooting section of the installation instructions. Avaliacao: Ruim. Leave all boxes unchecked for unit only. Oil pressure has also been added to the entire EDM series line. Download dimension profile here. Full Color LCD Display: Package Form Factor: Percent Horsepower. Rich of peak or lean of peak operation at the tough of a button. RPM and manifold pressure with full graphical depiction. Full function fuel flow computer system. Links to GPS for enhanced fuel management. Full EDM scanner functionality.I have installed 3 of these for different customers and have heard no complaints. In my opinion this is the minimum (and really the only) gage you need to consider when shopping for engine analyzer and or fuel computer. Sure, EI claims to have better quality, but with a bigger screen, the bang for the buck on this one is in surpassed. Do yourself a favor and Dont Buy Used Junk on EBay!!! You will spend many times more money troubleshooting it, than a brand new unit with warranty. Improvements are limited to those that could be relatively passive in an upgrade from those earlier models. It should have been baked into the unit.It shipped with a 5 year old manual that is multiple versions behind the software onboard. When I asked if I had the current manual, Support replied that it was the current document. This part of the response was a bit amusing: EDM updates occur faster than manual updates. Clearly, by about 5 years. Youll find menu options not in the manual, reworded or out of order from the book that makes it confusing to program. For example, I asked what KFactor2 was as it was not in the manual or the FAQ on the website. I was told it was for pressurized carbs and to ignore it. Great, but I asked if the manual or FAQ could be updated. The response was he did not know when the doc would be updated. So much for trying to save the next pilot a little trouble. During my inquiry I also recd a document with an attempt at outlining the current menu options. The document was scribbled on, had grammar issues and wasnt something I would allow, as a director of support at my own company, to go out the door.A lot of one line answers that were incomplete. For example, I asked how Fuel Flow impacted HP calc as that was the only thing I had not finalized. The response led me to believe this person doesnt know: Fuel flow does play a part in hp uncertain as to how much it would be off but should be relatively close. I offered an enhancement request for a future software version and it was glossed over and not responded to. Overall, I will say I do like the unit. The display is very nice and the information will be helpful in my operation of the aircraft. The part number is 10-27103. Current pricing is available online. Do we need additional sensors or we may connect directly from the ignition unit plug? This is not a stock part, contact sales for a special order request. Please contact sales for pricing and lead time. It must use its own sensors. You must keep all original gauges and sensors I need to see if I have space in my panel for one of these, and I cant find dimensions anywhere. Please contact avionics sales for price and lead time. You must simply add the probes that you require. Prices subject to change without notice. Invoice currency USD. The EDM 350 is not just another black box along for the ride. It is a Flight Engineer, Maintenance Manager, and Backup Instrument. For the price there is nothing that gets close to it. Customize with 17 options, including FF. You can think of the EDM 350 as your personal flight engineer. It?s always there, working in the background, constantly watching over your engine while you concentrate on flying the aircraft. You can make an entire flight without ever pushing a button, if you so choose. Yet your EDM will be monitoring your engine parameters three times a second and will warn you instantly if any parameter exceeds the programmed limit. Optional fuel pressure functionality available. Basic package doesn't have any of the above options Great product and the price is right. Always been happy with purchases from Aircraft Spruce. Kit is complete with everything you need and other than being time consuming, was a very straight forward install. The display is very nice and bright, and scans automatically through all cylinders. Very easy to understand and use. Finally found a unit that has EGT and CHT in one, color display. Also show system volts. The rep I spoke with told me it came with everything, so I had trouble returning it because these are special order. JPI was shut down and had no one to help so my plane is grounded till they come back to work. The unit is good. Unfortunately, JPI customer service is a mess. They forgot to include the panel mounting bracket. Then the mailed it to the wrong address. Holding up the whole project.Oh JPI.work it out already. What is the cost for CHT probes, EGT probes and FF?If it accepts automotive senders than the cost would be much more attractive. Please see website for included functions as well as available optional functions. Will this JPI EDM 350 unit work with those sensors? We recommend using only JPI probes with the EDM 350. Please see website for included functions as well as available optional functions. It may not display this or other websites correctly. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. Use a small, insulated probe (the pointed end of a golf tee is ideal) to tap the RESET button.Or am I misreading this. Is there a simpler way that I'm missing? (a little embarrassed to even be asking this.)Just need someone else to turn on the battery while you press the button (or vice versa). JoeI'll have to try that procedure before resorting to more radical steps. Thanks!Usually there should be enough slack in the cable to power the JPI after removing it, but if you have the later software, it isn't necessary. On another related topic, I don't have the JPI or any engine instruments such as a fuel flow meter on the avionics buss. The install manual recommends that the unit be installed on the avionics buss, but I think that is a bad idea. A better idea is to install it on the main buss and use a separate on-off switch, which the install manual suggests if you don't have an avionics switch.Usually there should be enough slack in the cable to power the JPI after removing it, but if you have the later software, it isn't necessary.
