Q: Can Kids Use Infrared Saunas9 A: The core body temperature of children rises much faster than adults. When using with a child, operate at a lower temperature and for no more than 15 minutes at a time. There are 37 suppliers who sells josen sauna on Alibaba.com, mainly located in Asia. The top countries of supplier is China, from which the percentage of josen sauna supply is 100 respectively. All sauna models are not shown. Parts and accessories may vary. Infrared is the band of light we perceive as heat. We cannot see this band of light with the naked eye, but we can feel this type of light in the form of heat. Our sun produces most of its energy output in the infrared segment of the spectrum. Traditional saunas use steam to heat the air inside the sauna, which then heats your body until you begin to perspire. Any excessive vibrations during transport could cause damage to the heating elements. Floor Panel When the floor panel faces upward, you will find (4) raised moldings with (2) notches. The rear and front of the floor panel have no notches. The notches are on the right and left sides of the floor. The buckles are mounted on the outside of the rear panel. (see figure 9) Figure 9 Understanding The Difference Between The Inside And Outside Of The Rear Panel You will find the heat emitters on the inside of the rear panel. Some models have wood braces that must be installed on the underside of the FLOOR PANEL. The edge nearest the power supply is the front of the ROOF PANEL. Be careful of the wires coming from the REAR PANEL when you set the ROOF PANEL down onto the panels. Feed the wires through the holes in the ROOF PANEL. Then screw together. Connect the buzzer connection. (see figure 19) Figure 16 Figure 17 Figure 18 Figure 19 H. Installing the TEMPERATURE SENSOR Enter the sauna and remove the protective covering from the TEMPERATURE SENSOR. Be cautious when pulling the power cord through the hole in the roof cover.http://cozyh.com/upload/1607509852.xml Gently place the ROOF COVER onto the ROOF PANEL. When the edges are aligned, screw the ROOF COVER to the roof panel. (see figure 21) Figure 21 Optional MP3 Shelf 1. Once your body has cooled down and you feel comfortable, you can exit the sauna. After about twenty minutes and when your body has completely cooled down, you can take a shower to rinse the perspiration off your body. Safety Instructions 1.) Read and follow all instructions carefully before using the sauna. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleansers inside the sauna. Unplug the sauna from the wall outlet before cleaning. First, check to see if the cord from the power supply is plugged into the wall outlet. Also check your main circuit breaker to confirm that it has not tripped. Not only is the Joyous 2 Person aesthetically pleasing, no matter what room it's in, but it also offers amazing health benefits. Some of which include detoxification, stress and pain relief, weight loss, simulated cardio (infrared increases heart rate), and increased blood flow. These are just a few of the many positives that come with an infrared sauna. Add one to your routine and experience the JNH lifestyle. The panels provide an even distribution of infrared heat, using the full surface area of each heater and therefore, eliminating any potential hot spots. We also pay close attention to the mounting locations of our heaters, ensuring that each heater is strategically placed so you receive full-body coverage. One way we accomplish this is by only sourcing lumber from responsibly managed forests. Our wood of choice is Canadian Western Hemlock, which is an amazingly durable species. So much so that it's used in the construction of homes, boats and even ladders.https://javisintlmedia.com/images/6-speed-sequential-manual-gearbox-smg.pdf With a reputation like that, Hemlock was the obvious candidate for our infrared saunas. We also ensure that there's enough of a gap between slats to allow the wood to naturally expand and contract when exposed to heat during sessions. This prevents stress-cracks and enables you to place your sauna into tight spaces without worry of damaging your sauna or your homes walls. For example, if something were to cause minor damage to the exterior wall panel, such as a hole, your sauna will still function perfectly, so long as the damage doesn't reach the interior wall panel too. Dual-walls also allows the interior walls to take the bulk of the heat, meaning the exterior walls won't get as hot, thus less naturally expansion. All our glass is see-through to eliminate any feelings of possible claustrophobia and is perfect for parents who need to keep their eyes on the kids (or pets). All panels effortlessly slide into place and clasp together with pre-attached buckles. The only tool you'll need is a screwdriver.Relax and lose yourself to your favorite podcast, audiobook, or playlist while you recover from a long day of work or soothe your muscles after the gym. Included is a convenient controller to adjust the volume so you don't have to expose your device to high temperatures. With the control panel, all you have to do is set a customizable temperature and duration that fits your needs. Afterwards, sit back and relax until you hear an audible alert, signaling that your session is over.Accommodates to all interior designs with beautiful natural wood markings, and feel always safe with it's solid wood structure. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. TwoDrummers 4.0 out of 5 stars We were considering the two person unit, but my wife wanted to be able to sit sideways on the bench with her feet up, or lay down on the bench with her knees bent. This required the larger size of the three person unit. It is a very comfortable heat. We love that we can use this in our home without any worries of moisture problems. The unit seems very well built and sturdy. The speakers work great. We purchased a Bluetooth receiver ( We love this sauna, but there are a few things I wish I had known before I had bought it. Not that it would have changed my mind, I would have just been better prepared. Delivery The unit came on a full semi. Luckily, I have a neighbor who has forks on his tractor. Make sure you have an adequate way to receive this thing. It comes in three boxes on one pallet, total weight was 410 lbs. Setup Time. We did run into one snag which required a road trip, I will explain that later, and also had to break for a quick bite to eat. The unit arrived shortly after noon. With the snag and the break, setup was complete at 5PM. According to the directions, there are a few steps to take to “condition” the unit prior to use. You have to heat the unit up for one hour with the door open, and then let it cool down. Then you heat it up for one hour with the door closed, and then let it cool down. So ours was ready to use at around 9PM. Ease of Setup This thing is very easy to setup, but I do recommend two people. You simply line up the sides with the bottom, and fasten the buckles. The biggest problem I had was figuring out which piece was the left side and which was the right. The seat, heat panels, and the roof will require a Philips screwdriver. I had a couple of problems that were solved with channel lock pliers. Warnings, Problems, Disappointments First of all, while this list may seem long, nothing I list here was a show stopper for me and I still give the unit 5 stars. Nothing is perfect after all. I may try to sand it out one day. It was a little disappointing that this got past Quality Control. Three of the buckles were bent. Two of them I was able to straighten out with a pair of channel lock pliers. One of them I couldn’t fix, so I just left it unbuckled. One of the heater connectors was crushed flat. I was able to un-squish it with the channel locks. (Make sure you have a set of channel lock pliers when building this!) The roof drops into the almost finished structure, and is then fastened with screws. One of those screws cracked the wood on the inside wall. I removed that screw, and pushed the wood back into place. Hopefully that fix lasts. I do worry that eventually a piece of wood will fall out of that crack. The “snag” I mentioned earlier. I was very surprised to see that my unit came with a 20 amp plug. Luckily, I used to be an electrician. I checked my breaker panel to make sure I was plugging into a 20 amp circuit. Then I had to run to the hardware store for a 20 amp outlet. Also, the cord wouldn’t reach my outlet. The only 20 amp extension cord I could find was 100 feet long. So I ended up buying cord and parts to make my own extension cord. This added about an hour and a half to the setup time. Someday I would like to get a meter and find out what the actual current draw is. If you opt for the three or four person unit, make sure you have a 20 amp circuit readily available. The two person unit uses a standard 15 amp plug. I ordered the 2 pack of backrests from Dynamic Saunas. However, my wife wanted to be able to use it sideways. Well, the side heater is placed too close to the back, and the backrest won’t fit there. That kind of defeats the whole purpose of us buying the three person unit, so I may try to modify that. We put this in our bedroom. In the middle of the night I noticed the control panel has a green light that is always on. Why do manufacturers always do this. I’ll need to find a way to cover up that light, I don’t really want to unplug the unit every night. Saves electricity as well because now the transformer is not running constantly. I put a suction-cup thermometer on the glass. At 104, the thermometer got up to 96. I realize there is probably quite a bit of heat loss right at the glass. This should be the warmest part of the sauna. Took off 1 star because of this. This may require two people. If you don’t do this, the seat will be able to slide back and forth ever so slightly. I wanted to make sure the seat was solid. Conclusion So there is my list of need-to-knows. I figure if I built my own unit from scratch, I probably would have twice as many problems, and most likely would spend twice as much money. Runs on the low side, so you're probably going to want to know the actual temperature you are running at.EMF emits radiation which many believe can be very dangerous. My wife and I are fighting cancer and are very conscious of this and believe long-term exposure can very well cause cancer. I have asked JNH to modify this sauna, since they claim to sell another sauna with zero EMF. Many scientists say that is not possible. Regardless, they refused to do anything. We will not use the sauna nor will we even give it away. We believe it is too dangerous. We purchased our own calibrated EMF meter and found that the true EMF output is 20 - 30 time what JNH claims. We called the FDA today and find that they know nothing about JNH or what they are selling. We will request an investigation related to false advertising and selling a dangerous product.I have used this extremely heavily over the last 2 years 4-5x per week for typically 30 minutes. I absolutely pour sweat and I can't describe how good it feels to sweat for a half hour then take a cold shower. Feels like every cell in your body opens up and awakens. I will list a few specific pros and cons, but overall for the money this has greatly exceeded my expectations and held up well to heavy use. --Pros-- 1. It's basic function of heating up and getting a good sweat going it does a great job at. 2. I love the 2 person size for 1 person use (it could fit two people easily but too closely for my comfort) 3. The construction is excellent. The quality is more than I expected for the price 4. Only takes about 10-15 minutes to heat up to full temp. I was pretty bummed, but JNH shipped a new one out for free, and it took me about 5 minutes to install the replacement and it has been going strong since 2. The control panel (even the replacement) isn't that durable. I never intended to use them so this wasn't a huge deal, but a little disappointing and would have been more if I planned to use them (I just mounted a phone holder to the wall and watch vids on my phone usually) 4. After about 18 months I had to add a little weatherstripping around the door to help maintain the seal. Anyway it's not perfect, but I measure things primarily based on value for the money and at the end of the day I have spent hundreds of hours in this thing since I got it, and absolutely love it and never imagined I could afford something like it.I had never been in this type before, but wanted a small spaced sauna for my home. It took a bit of work to get it put together as the instructions are, as people have said, horrid (hence the 4 stars, otherwise this would definitely be a 5 star item!). Fortunately it is fairly intuitive, and after watching a couple you-tube videos on how people put it together, I found it just needed some nudging to snap the pieces into place and get everything hooked up. For the first couple of months it worked really well, but then one of the panels went. I called customer service, and was walked through the way to test the panel to see what the problem was, and shortly thereafter I received a new panel! (Thanks Keyona!) We live in a colder climate and I was concerned, after some of the reviews, that it might not get warm enough, but it gets quite toasty and has not killed my electrical bill. I am not sure how well the 5 panel one would do, as I certainly noticed a difference with the heat level when that one panel went out, but the 7 panel certainly keeps me sweating. I also wanted to mention I was a little concerned when I purchased it that it might not be large enough for myself and my partner, as I am not petite, but we both fit quite comfortably in there.Everything snaps into place and the electrical connection takes seconds. I had one issue with having a set of brackets being too big for the screws provided for them(for the mounting seat). I added 4 washers and solved the problem. The unit itself works good and reaches its desired temperature in 15-20 minutes. After the first three uses, the slightly unpleasant packaging smell went away(I did initially do the recommended bake out process before first use.) I only rate this a 3 star product because of the location of the infrared heating panels along the back and having no protection from leaning into them without buying additional back rests. A product should be stand alone safe to use without later being informed they are capable of burning a person if they lean against them(not hard to do while one is trying to relax.) Also, the audio has a slight buzzing sound; a bit lower quality than it should be. Otherwise, it's a good product.I was able to open the boxes(3) in my garage and carry the panels to the basement for assembly. The unit is just what was advertised and went together perfectly with no issues as I followed the instructions step buy step. It took me about 90 minutes the put together as I was alone. Once it was finished I turned it on and waited about 20 min.The biggest thing for me was the full 5yr.There are many fancy ones out there but if you just want a great sauna you will be happy with this product for the price.I thought it would be a bit bigger. Also when I received it there was some damage on the side of it. When I called I had the option of either getting a new outside wall or 2 free accessories to go with it. However, it was a bit of a learning experience for me, and since I was already taking pictures so people could help with the diagnosis, I figured I might as well share my experience. Most years these Minnesota winters are really tough on us. The days get so short that if you have a normal job you barely see the light of day during the week. The temperature can drop below zero for days at a time with the wind making it feel even colder. Then there’s the snow. Some years it seems like you spend half the winter shoveling, and the piles get so big you run out of places to put it all. It seems like you’re always cold. For some of us, it really starts to wear on our psyche. Some folks use sun lamps to help. We figured an infrared sauna would probably do the trick. We found a used one that a couple were selling because they were losing their house and moving into an apartment. I kind of felt like a vulture buying it from someone who could no longer afford to keep it. It broke down into 6 panels and we loaded it into the van. Just recently, a few of the heating elements started working intermittently. Sometimes they would work, sometimes they wouldn’t. Sometimes when they weren’t working, I would go on top and check the connections. 3 of the panels had heating elements, plus one on the front of the bench, so each had power connections like the 3 prong power cords on desktop computers. I would pull them apart, take a look, and put them back together. Sometimes just doing that would get them going again. I would think that the problem had been solved, and then it would happen again the next time. When they were not working more often than working, I figured I’d better dig deeper and see what I could figure out. There were two on the back wall, and the one on the front of the bench that plugged into the back wall. Also on the back wall was the control panel for setting the temperature and timer. If it was something with the control panel, I figured it would affect all the heating elements, not just the ones along the back wall. The connection seemed to be fine, so it must be something else. I figured the only way I was going to find out was to start taking it apart and tracing the wiring looking for problems. I thought maybe I’d find a fuse broken or loose fuse connection or something. Only thing was, I couldn’t seem to find a fuse. While I was pulling stuff off the top, I found the owner’s manual which showed where to find the fuse. The problem was, the owner’s manual was wrong, and it wasn’t where it was supposed to be. However there was one bit of useful information in there, a wiring diagram. Two actually. The second one seemed to make sense. It showed 3 heating elements on one fuse, and 2 on another. Sure enough when I got enough screws out to pull up one edge, I could see an electrical box. I tried to take out a few more screws so I could pull it up further and open it, but the electrical box was screwed shut too. So I had to take the entire top off, and then unscrew the lid of the electrical box. That’s where I found the fuses. They weren’t glass ones, so it wasn’t readily apparent if they were burnt out, but since the elements were still working intermittently, I didn’t figure that could be it anyway. Also, the connections for the fuses looked just fine. Back to the wiring diagram. There was only one other thing that made sense. Those 3 elements also had their own relay. I’d seen relays go bad on motorcycles (also the places I’ve seen fuse connections go bad), so I figured that was the culprit. On a motorcycle when that happens, you can just jump the poles with a screwdriver, because it’s just for the starter and it’s just a battery. I was a bit apprehensive about trying the same thing with wall power. Instead I loosened the screws and stuck a piece of copper wire between them, effectively bypassing the relay. Then I turned on the sauna and waited to see if the elements would heat up. The first time I jumped the wrong relay and nothing new happened. Then I switched the jumper wire to the other one and got all the elements to heat up. I’d posted a picture on Facebook while I was diagnosing this to see if other folks had differing ideas. The opinions mostly agreed with the relay being the most probable cause (even though they’re solid state and almost never fail) with some folks saying to check the connections, maybe use some contact cleaner. I posted again to confirm the relay diagnosis, and an acquaintance said that he had a bunch of those from an old project. Still not being 100 sure of my diagnosis, I was thinking about buying new ones, just to be sure I got working ones to test my theory. He confirmed that he’d tested them and knew they were in good working order and sent me a couple the next day. (Thanks Matt!) Rachael freaked me out by telling me that she’d kept using it with the relay jumped. Yikes! I should have pulled that jumper wire out instead of just unplugging the sauna. After she told me that, I got right on top of getting that new relay installed. There’s nothing too complicated about it. I used a socket driver to remove the relay from the box, and then one screw at a time transferred the wires from the old one to the new one. Rachael used the sauna yesterday and informed me that everything is working fine. Now I can close up the electrical box and put the top of the sauna back on. You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0 feed. You’re one of the sharpest thinkers that I’ve known! Hubby has looked at the electrical box.I still had power to the panel, but the heating elements weren’t getting hot. I have had 7 back operations and I need it to help with the pain. I have had 7 back operations and I need it to help with the pain. It sounds like yours is something different. I’m sorry, but I’m no sauna repair-man, I’m just describing what worked for me. She said she could tell that the heating elements were not heating as well as they used to. One day she had it up to almost 140 degrees. We never took it past 125. I think I may have blown the whole control panel.I never had any problems before. Did you get yours fixed. What was your outcome? However, in my unprofessional opinion, yours sounds more like a fuse than a relay. My sauna powers on but doesn’t heat up and I have no idea where the fuse would be. Could that be the problem. Thank you for any help. One my sauna, all the electrical was under the top panel. Once it was removed I could access the fuses and relays. Once you’ve found them, read the above article to see how I diagnosed and fixed the problem. That’s exactly what I want to hear when I post something like this. As I was warming it up, it got to about 110 degrees and then the entire unit started clicking off and on and it stopped heating up. It happens the same way each time. Any suggestions from anyone? I actually found I needed a power supply and I just wanted to give you guys some advice on buying parts. Almost half the cost for the same unit. Thanks for sharing the tip so others can avoid getting screwed when they’re buying parts. There customers service is excellent and always available as well. I’m glad I found them and hope this can help others from paying too much for parts. I just bought 2 new relays on the web. Thanks so much. Weird that no companies can be found to fix these things. I am from Canada, same problems here I wonder how many saunas those darn relays turn into closets because they won’t work anymore? Made In China CLAP! Can you tell me where to but a replacement relay. Pro Sauna in Canada won’t answer e-mails or phone messages. Thank you very much. Duncan DeBond Seattle WA I have a 3 man sauna. It is 6 ft. wide so I can lay down in it. I have a back injury. The company sent me a new panel, I replaced it and it worked. I have been moving around a lot lately and now I noticed a few panels aren’t working, so I will investigate and let ya’all know what the problem is. Thanx for the relay tip btw. The fuse has gone out now twice, this last time when I was plugging in a lower snap plug,(a short somewhere?) and I bought a 4 pak of fuses. Another tip. I wired in a little fan that blows on the circuit board box on top. It keeps it cool. I wired it so it comes on only when sauna is powered up. Electronics like it cool, and will burn out quicker if over-heated.My power box makes hers work, but every other power box I put in hers turns on the lights and the music but will not heat up the sauna. I have 3 “new” power boxes and they do the same thing to mine. My original power box is the only one that lights and heats both saunas. I want to get hers working and sell it as an infrared sauna, instead of making it a playhouse., We have a 2005 Waterstar controller model that was shipped from Canada to Texas. We bought it barely used in 2006 and my wife has used it daily since then. Ours were the 40 amp versions versus the 25 amp relays in howandsometimeswhy’s photo, but were the same brand. The sauna was taking longer to heat up and was struggling to maintain the temperature setting. The rear and bench elements came on, stayed on and heated up quickly. We received the new relays late yesterday and installed them last night. My wife used the sauna this morning and it worked and heated flawlessly. I have a very happy and grateful wife. If you replace either one, be sure to coat the bottom on your component with thermal grease (heat sink compound).
