The carburetor is bad and the fuel filter and fuel line is bad. Replaced the fuel filter and fuel line. The carb is a Tillotson HS. I rebuilt the carb and got the saw to run but the idle is all over the place so going to replace the seals. Cannot find a parts list but I pulled the seal and measured on the PTO side. 15X30X7mm. A easy seal to find and have one on order. You will notice on the crank there is a cam with a plunger pushing on it. That is the oiler. Then coming out toward the top rear you will see the end of a black rubber fuel line sticking out and that is the tank vent. Interesting. Some great information on this saw. It sure is nice having access to all the resources. Some great information on this saw. It sure is nice having access to all the resources. Very cool. I have searched for the 801 info before for others in past but never came across the IPL or manuals either. Seemed like a 1 or 2 year made saw here. Figure out the differences in 801 etc? The 801 and 90 were made up until 1979 when the 910 replaced them. The last of the true Jonsereds. The 801 never cut as good as the 80, something in the porting. 40 years is hard on my memory The newer 90 got the power back but was to late as my 910 and 920 were quicker and lighter saws. Yesterday I disassembled the saw, It was very dirt, the joints were breaked the air filter is breaked, but the carburator looks great and the plug was firing. After a good cleaning new joints, new gas and a carburator setting, it does work very well. The bore is 52 mm. It has no decompression stuff Here are the pictures It works very well but it looks like there is not enough chain oil, how can I set the oil flow.https://formations.fondationmironroyer.com/en/node/12098 Is it possible to get the manual somewhere. The air filter is in very bad way (not sure about this word), there is only one grid with quite big cell (about 1 mm square) I think it should have a very thin one in the past but I can see only very little bits. Do you think I can put a foam in it.It is a model from 1970 - air filtration wasn't at the same level as it is today, and replacements are hard to find. There is a screw just right to the bar under the exhaust system: what is it for? There is a screw just right to the bar under the exhaust system: what is it for?The adjustment screw is on the bottom of the motor case aft of the crankshaft center line. It will look like a large aluminum allen (hex) screw but that is also not the adjuster. Find a small enough flat blade screw driver that will fit through the hex and inside there is the adjustment screw for the chain oiler. Left is more.right is less. Welcome to the site.It is Ok now. the big hex thing is a blocking system, no. I was not very carefull when i unscrewed it and I don't know in which way it goes, does the flat side goes in and the side with a round hole goes out.Is there any thing to know to start it (except that I need to get stronger, my hand is red and painfull) thanks It is Ok now. the big hex thing is a blocking system, no. It goes in with the flat side out. LOL!! They can be a bear to start. Pull it twice with the choke on, then turn the choke off and pull. Make sure the trigger is locked on high idle. Make sure the switch is on. The adjustment screw is on the bottom of the motor case aft of the crankshaft center line..You were right the adjuster IS by the muffler and NOT on the bottom of the saw.http://ostroactivityholiday.com/images/04-jeep-liberty-manual.pdf It was early in the morning, I wasn't in the shop and I confused it with the 70E. The 80 is exactly the same as the 621. But it still adjusts the same. You were right. You are missing the trigger lock. It is located on the clutch side of the rear handle, just above the trigger. There should be a small silver button in that hole. It is rather necessary when cold starting as it holds your throttle part way open and allows more air to mix with the fuel. You will need this part. Fortunately, this part is common to many model Jonsereds. The entire rear upper handle will change as well from these models but you will need to change the linkage from whatever one you have to the 80 throttle linkage. The hex screw on the oiler definitely goes in flat side out. The non flat side actually is the socket part of a ball socket joint. The ball part being the oil pump adjuster. Sorry again for the earlier misinformation but the adjustment works the same way. Concerning the oil screw. I am not sure all the parts are present or not.I can't see any part that could be the ball part. I must look closer. Thanks for all that. Do you have any idea to fix the air filter: fin grid ? foam? Concerning the oil screw. I am not sure all the parts are present or not.I can't see any part that could be the ball part. I must look closer. Thanks for all that. Do you have any idea to fix the air filter: fin grid. The airfilter is what it is (poor)It works well but I have to check it could be a beat reach, it smokes a bit. I used it this afternoon to cut a big oak (around 1 m diameter) that was lying for two years, It goes very very well. But it likes fuel. The tank was full and it is now dry for about 30 min working.gloups Another problem where I need your help. It comes back when I shake it. Any help to open the starter? thanks. Pitch is important because the drive sprocket must be the same pitch as the chain, and if applicable, the bar nose sprocket. The easiest way to determine the pitch of your chain is to look at the number stamped on the drive link. The gauge of the chain and the gauge of the bar must match. Always order by the number stamped on the drive link of your old chain to assure correct gauge.Your drive link count has a direct correlation to your bar’s length. Be careful; a bar made by Oregon may take a different drive link count than that of another producer. Here’s a tip: count the number of drive links in the chain you have now, and write that number down someplace where you can find it. Or, if you have an Oregon chain in an Oregon box, the drive link count is stamped on the flap; you can save that flap for future reference.Replace a Intenz guide bar with another Intenz guide bar to maintain the saw’s ability to properly tension the saw chain. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov Here are some questions to help you get started: Did our product meet them? This manual is a must for anyone that whats to maintain and repair this equipment or simply wants to get to know more than the operators manuals give you. I needed a manual to help me rebuild the top end. This manual did not cover my saw specifically but did have the model's previous incarnation (close enough). The manual had 5 pages of model specific drawings with the same instructions that the other Husky models carried. The drawings were of dis-assembled parts with no information on how to get there. Worse, there was no information on nut and bolt sizes or torque specifications for re-assembly. The manual was economically priced however and will make a great addition to my bathroom library.
