DM 4.0 out of 5 stars There was no exact match for the part number and this was the closest. It goes onto the stem, but seems to sit a bit higher than the other knobs. Still, it does turn on the stem properly, so it's a workable solution. We received it quickly enough, too. These worked perfectly. At first they kinda stand high a little, but you just have to apply a little pressure and they will sink in just fine. I would recommend these to anyone who has broken knobs. I have these same ones at my house, and I have never had to replace them. So it just depends how nicely you treat your stove top.I've had to buy a couple of sets of these to replace them on my stove as they break. It would be nice to see knobs made out of metal. They work so 3 stars. I know I'll have to replace them again, not 5 stars. The first replacement broke quite soon after being installed so I ordered several and have gone through a number since. The portion which pops onto the stem could easily have been made a bit thicker. I use cable ties to prolong the use of the ones that do not break completely. It's too bad Gen-Air can't seem to use mettle. It matches perfectly though and Looks like brushed silver.but if it were brushed silver or stainless steel, which would be decent for the price, it would be a more reasonable deal. I have no idea how my one knob broke, I guess just regular use (like a stripped screw-only made of plastic), which I expect I will need to order replacements again in the future for more expense.http://www.familyreunionapp.com/family/events/bose-wave-radio-user-manual-guideNote, the knobs are plastic and break often around this house. I wanted to get a few, and pay less. I didn't go bargain basement in my selection, so thought they would be good. Yes, they work to turn the gas up and down and more importantly off, but the word off is upside down when the stove is off. At least I can see it the right way when the stove is on. I also thought he was going to destroy my cabinets as he got angry and started forcing the unit back in. He was trying to convince me I had bought an inferior product. I finally asked him, 'You're telling me I paid extra for a Jenn-aire and I got a piece of crap?' (Not the expletive I used.) He said 'Yes you did!' Not the image of the Maytag repairman you get on TV! I'd call out another repairman if I knew it would get fixed once and for all, but I wonder if it is something else. Since then, it's mostly worked OK. When that happens, you can hear the motor overworking in an effort to push that tray over, so perhaps over time the motor wears out. Have you or others noticed this. Also, the pushbutton that you press on the dispenser to get water or ice sticks over time. A repairman showed me how to clean and lubricate it, to avoid a future service call. But, I agree: why should you suffer design problems for such an expensive model. If there are others out there, maybe we should gang up on Jenn-aire, and ask for them to stand behind their product, even if past warranty. I had problems from the get-go (that have never been fixed) with my Jade ice maker. The Jade, at that time (since under new ownership), was just a dressed up Jenn-Air, with a few extra features. The cooktop works perfectly, but the oven works correctly randomly. Most of the time is maintains heat, but randomly the heat will shut off with no indication on the digital control screen - we open the oven door and it is 150 instead of 350 degrees - or the digital screen goes blank when we are not using the range at all or the screen goes partially blank while baking. So far it always recovers. We can not trust the ovens. We already replaced the control strip on the JennAir dishwasher from the same era. Trying to get it worked out with Jenn-Air. I googled and saw at least a couple others have had the same issue but it doesn't seem too common. 2) the top of the door is vented and becomes very hot. I expect the knobs won't get too hot, being on top, but I havent tested a full-on bake experience yet. Feels very commercial-level, looks great, the range and gas work well. The Kenmore was total junk, and the old Kitchenaids were very good. They have declined in quality and I'd never get another one. The Bosch sits flush with the cabinetry (only the Miele and Bosch don't stick out from the surrounding cabinets), is VERY quiet, and cleans everything, including stuck on food.I've heard that most of the dishwashers have this problem due to the energy efficiency regulations. If your budget allows, I'd recommend Subzero refrigeration--it's the best. Or a Kitchenaid counter depth. Here's what I did last night. (1) I changed the filter. Although they recommend changing every 6 months, and it had only been 5, Jenn-air (and others) have said that the water flow slows over time as the filter get used up - maybe you'll notice that the flow of water from the dispenses increases somewhat after you change the filter. Even though it didn't seem like a big difference, there does need to be enough water pressure for the icemaker to work. (2) I removed the icemaker bin and made sure there was no more ice inside the tray or any components I could feel with my hand. After flipping the arm up (in the off position) and then back down (on) a few times, low and behold.I heard the water line start to fill up the icemaker. We had new ice this morning. I hope this advice works for someone else too. There will be NO charge for this service call!:-). I don't hear a peep out of it - sounds like its never turned on. The water inside the door works great so I know there is water. What about the rest of the fridge and freezer. Any problems before I order? No problems. I had terrible problems with fridg freezing my food in last one. Maytag!! After about 12 hrs it had made maybe enough ice to cover the bottom of the container in a single layer. In the 12 hrs since then it has made about half that much. At that rate, the two people who live yere can use ice faster than that. Always make sure that the delivery crew runs some water out of the end of the supply line before they hook up to the refrigerator. It will likely still take 24-48 hours to hit full ice production capacity. Changing the filter at the first sign of trouble is worth a try, but they're not cheap, either. That repairman doesn't instill much confidence. I don't know if the ice production stops, because the hum is so annoying I pick out the ice ASAP with a knife. This is a regular occurrence during ice season. Casey Don't waste your money. As you can see from when my earlier post was made, I bought my Jenn-Air in 2008 when I was remodeling my kitchen. At the time the choice of refrigerator gave me the most doubt. It seemed that all the non-luxury brands had lots of strikes against them. Many brands (including Jenn-Air) turned out to be the same mfg (I forget who) with the differences being cosmetic. I picked the Jenn-Air among them because the handles fit my design best. I was distressed to find that the only solution offered was replacement. But it was the only thing after 7 years. That doesn't seem so bad. But that is just slightly annoying. Any thoughts?
